"Hey Hayley...and Lauren" I said.

"Hey, sorry we're late, we were talking!" Hayley said "I've to drop Lauren home too so I hope you don't mind!"

I smiled "Not at all, hey Lauren!"

"Hello" she looks me up and down before turning to Hayley. She begins to speak when Rena comes over.

"One hot chocolate! Let me know if you want anything else" Rena gives me a smile "Would you two like anything?" She looks at Hayley and Lauren.

"Could I have a coffee?" Lauren asks.

"A tea please!" Hayley says.

Rena makes a note "Sure, be back in a moment!"

"So Ashley, you okay?" Hayley asks me.

I nodded "I'm okay"

Lauren looks between us both "Right well, I'm going to the bathroom." She excuses herself and leaves the table.

Hayley watches her go before turning to me "Lauren is my best friend! I really hope you guys can get along"

"Mmh" I half-agree "Me too"

My phone buzzes. Another message.

My eyes widen and I lock my phone.

Hayley gives me a look and is about to ask me something when Lauren returns.

"Right so, I think a shopping trip should be planned one of the days!"

I zone out of the conversation and sip on my hot chocolate, thinking about the message.

Sure, Rena and I were only talking.

I've nothing to worry about.
