Arthur's P.O.V
"Regardless of whether anyone believes me, Rose... I mean Princess Rosalia has been returned safely. All I wish for now is to return back to my family in Saplin." I told them with a serious look in on my face as they stared back at me. "You're going to leave already, Art?!" Rose asked me as she stood up and looked at me with a sad expression on her face. "Knowing history, I don't think it's appropriate for a human to be inside this kingdom for too long, princess." I replied to Rose question as I scratched the back if my head nervously.
"Besides, my priority is too make sure my family is safe. And let them know that I'm okay as well." Arthur said to Rose as she looked down in her lap sadly. "Regardless of our two kingdoms' past, you have saved our daughter and taken the trouble to accompany her all the way back to us, which entitles you a benefitting reward..." King Alduin said as he looked at me while I looked at Rose. Her mother and sister pulled her into a hug as she wore a pout on her face. 'Cute.' I thought before I shook my head and listened to the king.
"Unfortunately, the teleportation gate linked with Saplin Kingdom is only accessible once every seven years, during the summit conference between the three races. It'll be another five years until the gate will open. However, we'd be happy to send a group of guards to escort you back home safely." King Alduin said as I looked away from him and turning back upon hearing that I'll be send home.
"I'd also like to extend our hospitality. Some of us are tolerant enough, but too many still hold grudges towards humans because of the war long ago. So for now, make yourself at home. We will have your escorts prepared by tomorrow morning." King Alduin said as the people in the room bowed their head to us. "Thank you." I said as I stood up and bowed towards him with a smile on my face.
The maids took me to the room as I looked at it. It sparkled in every corner because of how clean it is...cleaner than me. 'I'm too tired for this.' I thought as I went to the bathroom to clean myself because of how filthy I was. During the bath, I started to feel the pain in my chest again as I held onto the wall for support. 'Damn it! It's getting worse...' I thought as I held my chest whincing in pain. After getting dressed, I sat on the couch with the egg Sylvia gave me that was wrapped in her feather.
'I don't know what to do, Sylvia. I wish you were here to help me....' I thought before I heard a knock on the door. "Coming!" I shouted as I walked towards the door. I opened the door and saw Rose and her sister standing there. Rose's sister took a deep breath before ramming her head into my stomach as I hunched over in pain. "That's for causing my sister to be sad." Tessia told me as Rose ran to her. "Tessia!" Rose said as she held her sister when she stood straight. "Are you alright, Art?" she asked me as I nodded my head. She walked towards me and punched me in the arm.
"Oww!" I said as I grasped my arm that she punched. "You idiot! First you talk coldly to my family, and then you're going back already when you just got here!" She said as she looked down with a sad expression. "I wasn't being cold, Rose. I was being respectful because...you know... They're the King and Queen of this entire kingdom! Why didn't you tell me?!" I asked as she looked away from me bashfully. "... It never crossed my mind." she replied as she scratched her cheek while I swear dropped.

"Still... I don't want you to leave... You're the first...friend I've had..." Rose said as she looked to me with teary eyes. I smiled at her softly as I hugged her. "Come on, crybaby princess. Show me around the castle." I told her before I felt a scary aura behind me. Rose pulled away from me before she brought her sister closer to me. "Oh! Art, this is my big sister, Tessia Eralith. Tess, this is Arthur." Rose said as Tessia looked at me with a slight glare on her face. "Hi Tessia..." I told her slightly freaked out by the look she gave me. "Hello to you, Arthur." she said as Rose pulled us out of the room.
After the tour we made it to an area in the castle where there was a small garden outside. "This is our favorite place in the castle. Well one of mines. If you stayed here until spring, you could see all of the flowers bloom here." Rose said as she pulled Tessia to one of the garden. "At least you're able to see the glowbees harvesting..." Tessia told me before she stood and walked to the other side to look for more glowbees. I glanced at Rose who stood up. "Look! It's pretty, right?" she said as she showed me the glowbees with a bright smile on her face.
I held my hand out to touch them until I felt a shift in the wind. A knife came towards us at a fast pace as I pulled Rose towards me into a hug. I grabbed it and dashed towards the attacker. I hit them on the side with the knife as I catched their fist that was going to punch me. "Hello~" I heard as I looked up to see Tessia and Rose's grandfather. "What the hell! Did you just try and kill your own granddaughter?!" I asked him as I moved away from him. "It might have left her a small welt, but I doubt that toy you're holding could kill anyone." Elder Virion told me as I looked down at the weapon in my hand.
'I was tricked!' I thought as I shook the toy knife in my hand. "Great reaction and instincts, thought. To think you'd catch my little present and use it against me. Your manager usage is mediocre at best, but I can see how you were able to kill a few slave traders." He said as I looked at him irritated by his words. 'This old man has a lost screw...' I thought as I gripped the toy knife tightly in my hand when I felt a hand grip my shoulder. I looked back and saw Rose holding my shoulders as Tessia stood behind her. "Grandpa! Stop teasing Art!" Rose said as she looked at her grandfather with an angry expression which could be misinterpreted as a pout.
"Yeah, even though what you said is true since he protected my sister from a toy knife." I heard Tessia said while I looked at her with an annoyed expression. She catched my gaze and smirked at me, Rose completely oblivious by what was happening. "Tease? You both should know why I came here." Mr. Virion said as I looked at him nervously. 'W-Why did he come?' I thought as I looked at him awaiting his answer. "It's been awhile since I've met someone interesting." He replied as he held a thinking expression on his face.
He suddenly held his hand out with a wooden sword as he tossed it to me. "Let's see what you're made of, brat!" He said as I held my hand out and grabbed the sword staring at him with a determined look. I brought the weapon down to swipe at his neck. He moved his head back slightly before I could hit him. "G-Grandpa?!" I heard Rose and Tessia exclaimed from behind me. "Scary little brat." He said as he stood to his full height with a smirk on his face and a blue aura surrounding him.

I ran towards him again swinging the sword for the second time. He moved again as the sword hit his cloak that was left behind. He appeared besides me with his hand raised about to hit my neck. I noticed and raised the sword blocking the hit. 'Strong!' I thought before I noticed his fist coming at me fast. I jumped behind him just in time not noticing his elbow coming towards me. He elbowed me in the stomach causing me to release the sword as I flew back.
I landed on the ground and ran towards him again grabbing the sword at the same time. Each time I hit him with the sword he would either dodge or block it. 'Even with mana and minimizing my movements, I can't keep up with him.' I thought as he hit me in three different places as I swung the wooden sword. 'Chance!' I thought when I saw him behind me. I jumped as I used my hands and pushed me in the air releasing the sword. I grabbed as I spinner my self in the air nearing him.
'Gotta go faster!' I thought as I managed to land a scratch on his forehead before he hit me away. I rolled on the ground hearing a pair of footsteps run towards me. "Art!" I heard Rose called me as she touched me helping me stand. "Grandpa!" Tessia shouted as she helped him stand up. "Pfft-" I heard behind as I saw Tessia holding his hand when he stood up fully. 'What the--' I thought as I looked at the man like he was crazy. "It seems like I deserve this for being arrogant... But to think you'd actually be able to land a hit in me." He said as I saw him hold the area I scratched.
I looked behind me and saw Rose pouting as she walked towards Elder Virion and Tessia came to me. "Hey Arthur, you can call me Tess. Since my sister trust you so much." Tess said as she stood besides me. "Ok. You can call me Art." I replied as I watched Rose stood in front of her grandfather. "Now, let's start round tw-- Ack!!" Elder Virion said howling in pain as I saw Rose pinching him. "I think you've bullied Art enough, Grandpa!" Rose said as she pinched him harder. "Ahhh! That hurts, little one!" Elder Virion said as she let go and crossed her arm. "You should've gone easier on him!" Rose said as Tess nodded in agreement. "She's right actually." Tess said as she walked towards them.
"I'm afraid that if I'd gone easier on him, he'd be the one bullying me." Elder Virion said as I laughed nervously at him. "Haha, I'm honored the esteemed Elder Virion thinks so highly of me." I told him as I dust the dirt off my clothes. "Honored", is it." He said as his mood changed very quickly. 'What's this sudden change in mood?!' I thought awkwardly as I froze waiting for what he was going to say next. "If that's the case....become my disciple." He said as I looked at him surprised.
I stood there staring at the bandaged on his forehead courtesy of Tessia and Rose as they shifted their attention back and forth between us. "So do you agree?" He asked me as I looked at him in disbelief. "You're...actually serious?" I asked him squinting my eyes to see if he was telling the truth. "Why would I be?" He asked me as I stared at him. "Well... First of all, I'm a human! Is it even allowed for a humans to stay in this kingdom?" I asked him hoping he would think about what he said.
"Grandpa?" Rose called out as he looked towards her. She made a motion for him to been down which she did. She fixed the bandage what was about to come off before hitting him in that spot. He looked at her with a look of disbelief as she smiled before she walked to Tessia. "Anyways, no one will dare try and kick you out while you're under my tutelage. I know you realize that you're better than other kids-- hell even some adults-- but just know that I can teach you something even the most capable mages back in sapin can't." He told me as I just waved it off.
"N-No... Even if you say that, I can't. Not when I don't even know how my parents, who don't even know whether I'm dead or alive, are doing." I said as I shook my head. "If there was a way for you to see how they're doing and communicate with them to let them know you're okay... Is that not enough?" He said as he leaned towards me. "What do you mea-" I started to say before he cut me off. "Wait. Get Tessia and Rose washed up and into bed!" Elder Virion told the maid who stood behind him as he pushed them towards her. "But, Grandpa! I wanted to spend more time with Art." Rose said as she stopped walking and looked at him pouting.
"And you're tired! You could spend more time with him tomorrow." He replied as she rubbed her eyes. "But-" she replied before giving up when she saw the stern look on him face. She nodded and followed Tessia as the maids took them to their room. "Hmm... I realized I'm being rather impatient, but it has to do with what I sensed earlier during our little spar. You've been having bouts of searing pain where your mana core is, right? And those bouts are becoming more frequently?" He said as he grabbed his coat from the floor putting it on.
"H-How did you know that?" I asked him confused as I widened my eyes unconsciously touching the area my core was located. "More than how I knew, it's the fact that you're unaware of the reason for your pains that's a problem. Do you not know what a beast will is?" He asked me as I looked at him confused. '. It was term I had never heard before, but I immediately thought back to when Sylvia struck me at my core.' I thought as the scene where she struck me at my core appeared in my mind.
"I'm sure you know or have encountered a few mana beasts already but a beast powerful enough to be categorized as Class A or higher, gains the ability to pass on a 'will' or inherent ability down once, either to their offsprings or a person they're bound to. I won't pry as to how you've stumbled upon such a powerful beast will, but at this stage, the power residing within you is doing more harm than good." He explained as I took in the information he told me. "The fact that you know all of this... Do you have a beast will too?" I asked him as he knelt down in front of me.
"Yes. I am what is called 'Beast Tamer'. A title that you can obtain once you've fully conquered the monstrous beast will inside of you. I know how important it is to go back to your family, but doing so right now comes at a grave risk. The power from your beast will is too potent for your immature body to handle. If not controlled soon, the power you've obtained will destroy your body from the inside out." He told me as he poked the area where my core was with two fingers.
Author's Note
Let me just explain why Rosalia can calm Art's pains from his mana core. Since Rose is his fated half, she'll be able to stop him from feeling a serious amount of pain. She won't know it yet but I'll make Arthur have a vision of the prophecy when he goes back home to his parents.
Anyways enjoy 😊⋇⋆✦⋆⋇.
