Today is the memorial service for Erin I haven't been able to cope with everything thats going on. I am a father but I also lost the love of my life all in the same day. Today is gonna be a hard day luckily Kim and Adam offered to watch the boys at the service so that I don't have to worry about them for a few hours.
I decided to put them both in little tuxedos that matched then I got dressed in just a nice outfit since I'm not the type to be in a tuxedo. I went and showered while the boys were sleeping then I got them dressed. It's hard doing this single dad thing with two kids.
At the church
Today we are here to celebrate the life of Erin Lindsey. She was a girlfriend , daughter, friend, coworker, and mother. I knew Erin for a couple years and she was the bravest person I have ever met. She loved her family very much. When we first met she told me all about jay. I knew from that moment that she would marry this guy. The pastor gave a short speech then hank decided that he would say a few things.
Erin Lindsay was my daughter we may not be blood but when she was 15 she came to live with my wife and our family. She was a handful when she first came but as she grew up over the years I have been incredibly proud of her. She followed into the same steps as I did. My son Justin who unfortunately wasn't able to be here today was extremely close to Erin. They weren't just siblings but they were best friends. My wife Camille was the perfect mother to Erin, I am heartbroken that we lost Erin as such a young age but I'm glad she is with my wife in heaven. And Jay halstead the one person she may of loved more than me. She wrote a letter in case anything ever happened to her when she was on the job she didn't want you to find it so she gave it to me. I haven't read but I would like to give it to you. But she had written her vows for the wedding and they are beautiful. Here are her vows to the one she loves.

Jay halstead,
The one man that I have been able to love with all my heart. Jay when we first met I knew that there was something between us. When I first saw those blue eyes I fell in love with you. I love you and I can't wait to have our own little family. The twins are the best thing in the world. Jay you are the sexiest man alive and I wake up everyday asking myself how on earth did I get so lucky to call you mine. I love you until the day I die.
Jay whenever you miss Erin there is one thing to remember and that is she gave you two little boys who will remind you of her everyday. It's gonna be hard at first but you'll make it through this loss. The whole team is here for you and your kids.
And now Jay will say some words.
Thank you all for coming today, she would hate this. She hated being the center of attention. She was the love of my life an the mother to the two most handsome boys. She will be greatly missed but her legacy will live through myself and the boys and the whole intelligence unit. I fell in love with her the first time I met her. I will miss her dearly but today is not a day to be sad it's a day to celebrate the life of Erin.
Now we will close the ceremony out with a short time of silence to remember Erin. The pastor said
During the time of silence they played a song. It was the one song that fits this moment perfectly.
It's been a long day without you my friend
And I'll tell you about it again
When I see you again...

I know we loved to hit the road and laugh but something told me that it wouldn't last...
Everything I went through you were standing here by my side and now you gonna be with me for the last ride
It's been a long day without you my friend, and I'll
Tell you all about it when I see you again
We've come a long way from where we began
After the moment of silence everyone exited the church and went their separate ways except for jay and the team they all headed to the cemetery. To lay Erin to rest. After they laid Erin to rest the whole team headed over to the closest park. They all gathered around as a team and remembered all the good things about Erin they shared stories about her of course hank and Alvin had the best since they are the ones who knew her the longest.

Later that day
Today wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but now it's time to get you little guys to bed. Jay said. The boys just looked at jay and didn't say anything since they are only a few days old.
Once jay got them to bed he went into the living room and made a bed on the floor since he still couldn't sleep in his own bed knowing that she wasn't there. He had also taken all of his clothes out the closest and put them in the boys room. He couldn't go into his bedroom, he couldn't bare to look any pictures or things that remind him of what he didn't have anymore.
He knew that he would have to move back into his bedroom one day but right now wasn't the time. He needed time to heal and figure out how to move on with his life.

Shaman
*** Let's get this clear now: the MC is a trans woman. This is not a gender-bender. It's set in a fantasy world but the exploration of identity and gender is reality-based. Not a joke, not a kinky turn-on. If this is a problem for you, please just act like an adult and look elsewhere for something to read. *** Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 2 x 5*, 1 x 4.5*, 1 x 3*, no reasons offered. A human shaman and healer returns from several years with the mysterious shyani, accompanied by her shapeshifting puma best friend. A valued friend, from her previous identity as a male student physician, has acquired an old shyani book, and extremists will not tolerate its presence in human hands. But back in human lands, the question arises: which world does she belong in? Generations ago, human explorers found a continent inhabited by an utterly alien culture of shapeshifting weyres and the shyani, humanoids who prefer dusk and dawn. A truce of sorts was eventually reached: humans claimed the rich lowlands, and the shyani and weyres retain the highlands. Along the border, practicality often rules, but on either side, old grudges linger in some hearts. As a student physician, Corin tried to take his own life, unable to bear the countless tiny wounds inflicted over twenty-one years of lying to himself in order to be, or pretend to be, socially acceptable. At the last improbable instant, intervention came, in the form of a spirit fox, who led him away from the existence he’d known in the lowlands and into the highlands. There, a puma weyre rescued him, and a shyani shaman helped him find his true self and offered a rebirth, a life with no more lies, and an important role to fill. Now a shaman and healer in her own right, Vixen who was once Corin learns that the one human who mattered to her in her previous life, then a fellow University student, has come into possession of an old shyani book, and the more fanatical shyani and weyres will stop at nothing to reclaim it and punish Jared. Even though it means going back into the lowlands and facing Jared as a woman, she can’t bear to just look the other way. This should be a short visit, just long enough to see the book into the proper hands and make sure Jared will not be killed for having it, and then she can return to the shyani community that has accepted her as their shaman. And, of course, her feline best friend Dayr insists on coming with her. But Jared is now a Lord, with considerable wealth and power, and his response to her presence isn’t one she expected. After years living with the shyani, she sees everything around her from a new perspective, and that makes it difficult to keep to the plan of making as few waves as possible. As an honoured guest in a highborn house, with only Jared aware that she has ever been anyone else, Vixen finds herself questioning where she belongs: with Dayr and the shyani, who accept her gender without question but have to make allowances for her differences, or with humans, in the culture she grew up in even though her past would mean a major scandal? *** Trigger warning: there are scenes of Vixen's previous life, which include some difficult moments and culminate in an (obviously unsuccessful) attempt at suicide before she finds her true self and a better life. Please be careful! This is the ONLY reason for the "Traumatising Content" tag.*** Complete stand-alone novel, 96K words. Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.

It's Hard to be a Hero in a Parallel World
A hero is transported from the real world into a parallel world similar to the video game he's been obsessed with for the past few weeks. The problem is, this game is way too difficult, especially for a nerdy gamer boy to survive. He decides to leave the hero-duty to someone who is actually competent while he looks for a way home. He hopes his knowledge of the game will help him stay out of trouble. Unfortunately, as one would imagine, the normal events of a game would change drastically when the main character is nowhere to be found. Read as the unlikely hero gets into trouble with his new companions, while trying to survive life in this parallel world. This is an original story that takes inspiration from and pokes fun at many novels, video games, anime, and the stereotypes and tropes that appear in those media.

Rise of the Business [Class]
'Rise of the Business [Class]' is a story about a world where humanity ended up fleeing through space, after suffering several great disasters at home. On arrival we crash-landed and were soon attacked by magic wielding civilizations who learned how to deal with our weaponry with a speed that belied their seemingly simplistic nature. We were lost. But eventually we survived by abandoning technology and adapting. But this tale takes place thousands of years later, after humanity has had time to rise and falter more than once. It tells of a time where we adapted too much, focusing only on combat and magic and learning to rely on the [System] that our ancestors built in order to compete and survive on this hostile planet with the others. This is a story about our final chance during a time when all of humanity is under siege again, where we struggled to adapt too late and ultimately had to learn how to summon a collection of people from Earth through time and space to come help - but not to the 'besieged time' but back a couple of hundred years - before it went too far down the wrong path, so they can hopefully change things enough to prevent a return to that timeline. Follow Livia as she is ripped from her favorite library and end up getting lucky, or unlucky? On her very first day on the Elderwood continent. While a trio of native lads excitedly leave home to find adventure, oblivious to how very soon they might end up entangled in the fate of the world. But the question that remains to be answered, that this first leg of the journey aims to find out; is what can a LitRPG bookworm like Livia do if called on to change humanity and prepare us all for the future, all before her 21st birthday? Find out soon, as we are finishing up book 1 in the coming two weeks. Cheers for reading this far, have a biscuit!
