Just any other day in the bullpen sorting files and cases.......When......
"You enjoying that?" Sam asked Deeks as he was sipping every last drop he could get out from that smoothie cup "Oh, you mean my smoothie? Funny you should mention it, 'cause I really feel like I'm missing something." Deeks replied as he spun on his chair and looked at Kensi "He's just upset because I finished his protein powder." Kensi said gazing at Deeks "You put it on your ice cream." Mentioned Deeks "You left it at my house. I didn't think you'd mind." Kensi replied as she didn't think he cared I" wrote my name on the lid." He replied "Who writes their name on things they then leave at their girlfriend's house?" Kensi asked
"Do you still write your name on your underwear?" Callen asks as he butted in "I need to mark my territory." Deeks replies "Poor choice of words." Sam said as he looked at him "Yeah." Deeks replied thinking about it as he got cut off by......"The bottom line is you're just really bad with personal boundaries." Kensi mentioned to him "Oh." He said as Sam and Callen were laughing "Something funny?" Kensi asked "You two having a discussion about boundaries? Isn't that a little ironic?" Sam asked Kensi looking at her "Iron Explain that." Deeks said "Most people bring their work lives home. You guys bring your home lives to work. Boundaries get blurry." Sam explained as he had big grin on his face
"Deeks and I keep our work lives and personal lives very separate. I have a rule about that." Kensi explained "Really?" Callen said "Yeah." She replied "What about that little display of affection last week on Lincoln at the stop light?" Callen asked about "Ha! you guys were behind us." Deeks said laughing it off "And the fight over who gets the side of the bed that's closest to the bathroom." Sam said as Eric came down stairs cutting him off with "Or Deeks telling us how Kensi likes to hang-dry her underwear in the living room." "Deeks, you hang-dry your underwear." Kensi said looking at Deeks "Yeah. In the bathroom, where things are supposed to hang-dry." Deeks mentioned "And there it is. Boundaries obliterated." Sam said "More stuff I can never un-hear." Callen said "Granger and Hetty........" Eric said as Callen finished his sent and off ........"Request our presence up in Ops, perhaps?" "Uh, actually, want to talk to Sam. Alone." Eric said as everyone was stood up

After Sam was briefed upstairs by Granger, Hetty & Eric, Nell Sam came down the stairs to brief the others and gave them a little bit of a background history about them 2 as partners......
Kensi and Deeks were at the crime scene trying to find something that would help them with the case.......
"Yikes. Looks like a war zone." Deeks said looking around "This is the blast crater. Detonation happened right here. Look at how this wall buckled. It would have to be a super high detonation velocity to cause this kind of damage. Very high brisance." Kensi was explaining "Yeah, well, I usually like my brisance with a little bit of jelly in a café with Pepé Le Pew. Oh, you mean the other kind of brisance?" Deeks said standing in front of Kensi "The shattering capability of a high explosive." Kensi said "Like Binetex." Deeks mentioned "Exactly like Binetex," Said Kensi as she looked shocked "actually. What's going on with you?" Deeks asked her "I just don't understand why Sam would protect some guy that may have killed three people. I don't." Kensi said explaining
"I do. They were partners. And to be completely honest, I would do the same thing for you." Deeks said just starring at her "Not if I murdered someone." She replied "I mean, if you did it for the right reasons, yeah. Yeah, I think I would. Boundaries. Right. We're-we're I'll be over here." Deeks said walking away "Hey, check this out." Kensi said standing up from crouching on the ground "What have you got?" Deeks said walking towards her "It's a piece of a SIM card. Command detonation by cell phone." Kensi said as she was holding the SIM card "I'll get it to Eric. You want to tell Sam or should I?" Deeks asked looking at her
A couple of hours later the whole of the team really wasn't moving anywhere in the case so Kensi and Deeks needed to get a little bit of help......

"This is crazy. Sam's going undercover with somebody we barely know anything about. " Kensi said as both of them coming down from the stairs "You know what? We should probably check his file." Deeks mentioned "I like the way you thin'" Kensi said as she sat down at her desk "I like the way I think." Deeks said leaning on her chair and desk "Access denied?" Kensi said "Try my password." Deeks said as it worked Eric and Nell popped on the screen "Hello, friend." Need said "Yes, hello." Popped out Eric "Just working here." Kensi said acting very cool
"Attempting to access Mark Ruiz's personnel file, are we?" Nell asked "No." Deeks said looking suspicious "Can you help us?" Kensi asked with a little smile on her face "Hmm. Just a second. Eric? Nell said "Oh, yeah. It says here that Ruiz's history is none of your business." Eric replied "Oh." Nell said too "Oh, well, that's really interesting, 'cause the case is about Ruiz." Deeks mentioned "Granger has sealed the file. Stay out of the database," Nell explained "You guys" Deeks slipped in there "or Granger will fry your motherboard." Nell finished as they went off from the screen "NCIS may be sealed." Deeks said "But there's a whole lo# more Internet out there." Kensi said having something up her sleeve
Kensi, Deeks and Granger were in the boat shed trying to get the money together for the big deal........
"He and his brother Diego were working drugs, weapons and prostitution here in L.A." Kensi mentioned to Granger "All right, got it. Between NCIS and ATF, we put got five million dollars. Plus the two million from Ruiz. The other three's just gonna have to be fake." Deeks explained to them as just got off the phone "All right, put it together." Granger replied "Okay. Actually, um, just one more thing. We've been doing some digging. Ruiz used his credit card at a parking meter outside a church every Thursday for three years. The same church that a substance abuse support group was meeting at. Why didn't you just tell us that Ruiz was washed out of NCIS because of drugs?" Kensi said not backing down
"Well, I'm not exactly the office gossip." Granger replied "Well, it's not gossip if it's relevant to the case." Deeks said "If he's clean now, how so?" Granger said "That's a big if." Kensi replied "It's hard enough to get clean without being branded an addict. Look, I'm not asking you to trust Ruiz. I'm asking you to trust Sam." Granger asked "Fair enough." Deeks said "Okay." Kensi replied
It was a very long day and probably one of the most hardest case ever for the team and specially Sam as it was a little personal for him. So Sam decided to go to the hospital to visit his friend/old partner and family as everyone decided to go home and get some sleep.

That same year Centurian virus took over almost all of humanity's computers. This was right about the time a huge solar flare knocked out all communication on Earth. Some time between then and now secrets were revealed, like secret societies, where the nukes were being hidden, and, most importantly, that there were Fae, magic beings, living among humanity all this time. The Proxima Centurians eventually came to the now weakened Earth to 'check on' humanity about fifty years ago. Some say they are here to colonize what's left of the city-states and raiders alike.
