Valerie P.O.V.

It was the day after my birthday, and my brother's surprise, was that he wanted to take me to Disneyland. Plus Carter. Plus Ell. Plus Kean, Xavier, Sommer, Jess, Alec and Alexys. *let's out one big breath*

Apparently, he splurged and got the V.I.P guest tour package, which allowed up to ten people to come along. Coincidentally, everyone could make it, considering nearly all of them had their own appointed work schedules anyway.

"Woahhh someone had a party in here!" Will whistled as he pushed his way through the strings of balloons at my apartment. "Who did all of this?"

"Carter." I smiled proudly.

Will gave an appreciative glance at his surroundings, coming over to admire the flowers I placed in the centre of the dining table.

"Nice. He seems like a cool dude." Will nodded.

"He is. He's taking me to Bora Bora in a few days for my birthday!" I gushed excitedly.

"Woah what the fuck!" Will snapped his head towards me in shock. "Back up, how long have you known him again?"

"Uhhh... like three months?" I said, leaning against the kitchen counter. I mean, we've only become official like a week ago but I met him in April, which makes it approximately three months now. We do spend a lot of time together, so it really felt like much longer than that.

He widened his eyes at me. "Wow. I have completely underestimated him," Will muttered under his breath. "I'm happy he's treating you how you should be treated."

I nodded happily in agreement. "Everything's been awesome."

"I guess I should go apologise for being all hardcore yesterday night," he chuckled.

"Yup," I popped the P. "He's in my bathroom. He'll be out in a sec so you can do it then."

"Why is he in your bathroom this early?" Will narrowed his eyes at me and crossed his arms.

"Because he stayed over." I shrugged nonchalantly.

"I don't wanna fkn know." Will waved his hands back and forth dramatically before shaking his head. "I'm not even sorry anymore!" he exclaimed, horrified.

"OMG WILL! 1. I'm 22 thankyou, and 2. nothing happened yesterday night. We went to sleep." I whacked him against the chest.

This is why I've never had a boyfriend in high school, because my damn older brother kept everyone away.

"Oh my dear lord! My ears! Make it stop!" He bent over his knees with a hand on his forehead.

So dramatic. He really is like a male replica of Ellana, which is why they got along so well and why they never had that typical best friend falling for older brother relationship. They were like siblings themselves.

"Argh you're impossible!" I groaned exasperatedly, crossing my arms. How was he born first?

"Oh morning Will," Carter smiled as he stepped out of the hallway and into the dining area. "No wonder it sounded like you were talking to someone out here," he chuckled, strolling over to me before placing a kiss on the top of my head.

"Carter. How are you?" Will forced a smile after numerous attempts of me mouthing off silently at him.

"I'm good thanks, you?" Carter responded politely.

"Great man, do you think we can talk?"

"Yeah of course," Carter nodded, before giving me a reassuring smile. Taking that as my cue, I walked back down the hallway. Unable to resist, I decided to eavesdrop and stopped just out of sight but within hearing distance. I wasn't missing this for the world.

"Look I'm sorry for yesterday night," Will chuckled and ran his hand through his hair. "I was pretty rude, and I'm very protective of Val."

"No worries," Carter said lightheartedly. "I completely understand where you're coming from, especially with her past experience."

"Thanks," Will gave him a genuine smile. "Oh she's told you about that?"

"Yeah a little. Just an overview about her mental health struggles and the situation she was in, but not in complete detail." Carter recounted our previous conversation.

"Huh." Will raised his eyebrows. "She must really trust you then. But, y'know I still feel obligated to give you the whole 'if you hurt Val, I'll hurt you' speech okay?"

"Got it." Carter chuckled before they gave each other a friendly handshake. Aw, that's cute.

After everyone arrived, the ten of us piled into a large black SUV Will had hired, so we could make the hour trip down to Anaheim. I couldn't wait. I haven't been to Disneyland before. I know, I know. I've barely done any of the usual things you should do whilst you're in California. Better late than never I guess! Will's surprise was actually an excellent one; we both loved Disney as kids, and I still love it now. I mean, who doesn't? He went a bit overboard with the whole V.I.P thing, but alas, he wouldn't be William Anton Delwood if he didn't.

The sun was shining high up in the sky behind the grand, tall spires of the Disneyland Castle. We each got a pair of minnie or mickey mouse ears, as per tradition, before posing for pictures in front of the entrance. Yup, that's right. A group of teens and twenty sum' year-olds with their Disney ears ready to run amuck in the park. This was, hands down the best birthday ever.

"Oh my gosh space mountain was so good!" I grinned, skipping alongside Carter with massive amounts of adrenaline pumping in my body.

"We should do the Incredicoaster next!" Alexys shouted to the group.

"Yes!!!" I squealed excitedly, as the guide began to lead us to the direction of the next attraction.

"You sure like to scream." Carter said slyly into my ear, as we approached the FastPass lane for the ride.

"You are way too good at those sexual nuances," I laughed as I pushed him away gently, shaking my head in mild disapproval.

"Sit next to me?" Jess hooked her arm into Will's and pulled him to the front with a charming smile. Damn, the girl's got moves.

"Sure thing sweetheart," my brother replied as he slipped his arm out and placed it over her shoulders, bringing her closer. Sweetheart? How old's Jess again? 20 or 21 I think? Okay, so they didn't have a large age difference at all. No wonder I ain't getting a baby Delwood soon, Will has some cringey ass moves. What a player!

Low-key though, I had to congratulate him on such a good idea getting the tour package. Although it was costly, it was an efficient way to see the park and learn all the neat little bits of history from the guide. Plus we got to go ahead of the line for all the rides, which saved sooo much time.

"Oop sorry Carter, I'mma steal Val for this one!" Alexys came sliding between us to tug me with her to line up.

Alexys and I definitely turned into daredevils together, we were the two that liked to do all the fun, wild things out of the girls. She had a youthfulness to her that made me loosen up and remember what it was like to just do things without overthinking. I poked my tongue at my boyfriend over my shoulder who simply chuckled and let us be.

We got seated as an attendant came to check all our protective fastenings before the coaster slowly moved forward. The electronic voices of the Incredibles came alive as the pre-coaster show began. You'd assume there would be a countdown, but no. They tricked you. The carriage sped up unexpectedly as loud whoops erupted and it began its turbulent downfall, before shooting up in a loop de loop. I raised my hands above my head and let the butterflies free with loud giggles. The breath was stolen out of all our lungs, leaving us in frazzled states as the ride came to a stop and the Incredibles roller coaster mission was over.

"Holy crap. That was kinda cray," Xavier stumbled out of the carriage, shaking his limbs out before heading over to the exit.

"Yeah you screamed like a girl in my ears," Sommer teased, as we waited in the gift store to view the photos captured from the ride on the monitors.

"Well you clung to my body like a girl," Xavier smirked in retaliation, earning a loud huff from Sommer.

"Whatever."

"Wait! Look there we are!" Ellana pointed up at one of the screens as our photos started to appear one by one, in groups.

"You really were screaming," Alec doubled over in laughter and nudged Xavier in the ribs, as the rest of the group zoomed into the images and chortled at Xavier's expense. To be fair though, he wasn't the only one with a screaming face. We all had our mouths wide open in grins, screams or laughs.

"We should get these." Kean grinned at Ell.

"Definitely!" she nodded and looped their hands together to head to the counter.

After we all grabbed a few of the hilarious images of our group for the memories, we headed back outside to see one of the scheduled performances.

"Omg! Guys LOOK! Hi!" A loud bunch of squeals came to the left of us.

"It's XACK!"

"Oh sick that's Jess Lewins!"

"OMG and Alexys and Sommer!!!!!" A mash of voices came as a group of young kids and teens, walked over towards us.

"When's your debut album coming out Alec?!" one of them spoke.

"Soon soon," he chuckled as he gave them all hugs.

"Yo dude! You're the man," a boy came up to give Carter a bro handshake. "Can we get a pic?" he asked as Carter obliged.

"Oh my gosh I love you so much Sommer, you're so talented. I'm doing photography class in school because of you!" a girl gushed as she greeted Sommer, happily chatting away.

"Can we be in your video please!" A few of the kids approached Xavier.

"Yeah say hi to the vlog!" he replied enthusiastically.

"What the heck is going on...?" Will came over to stand by my side with his arms crossed in complete confusion, observing as a group began to form around my friends.

"Well they're kinda all like Carter, famous on social media... but they also do things like YouTube, art, music, acting, modelling... all that stuff." I explained with a smile as I watched. It was so nice to see their interaction with fans, everyone looked so overjoyed.

"Wow it's Kellana!!!" The commotion increased as more fans began to recognise who they were.

"Ohhh wow. Kellana? as in Kean and Ellana? I had no idea Ell blew up," Will remarked. "It's so weird seeing her on tv, cause she's so weird," he chuckled.

"Yeah haha, it's a weird world they're in for sure." I nodded with a laugh.

"Oh my gosh!! You're Valerie right?! The girl in Carter's video?" a fan came over to me excitedly, jumping up and down. "Can I get a picture with you guys please!!!"

Will shot me an even more confused look at what was going on.

"Uh haha yeah... that's me," I smiled, and fidgeted with the ends of my hair. I'm kind of impressed I was recognised too. "How do you get used to all this?" I murmured over to Carter, as he came to pose for a picture.

"You don't," he chuckled, "You just gotta remember they're also regular people that extremely appreciate what you do, so they just want a bit of your time," he replied before we smiled at the camera.

"Wow I love you guys, I shipped you so hard!" the fan squealed before rushing off.

Well that was unexpected, but totally expected at the same time when you have a bunch of influencers roaming around in public together. Go figure.

The day finished off much the same, with us visiting all the numerous attractions and being approached by a few fans that spotted the group. We were all tired out from the eventful trip, but there was one last thing to do before we headed home; the nighttime fireworks spectacular. To end a truly magical day, was a truly magical evening.

"Happy birthday again, Valerie." Carter smiled as he pulled me in to kiss me on the cheek, whilst the colourful explosions littered the brilliant night sky.

"Thank you." I grinned up at him.

I snaked an arm up around his neck before leaning forward to press a kiss on his lips. His strong, warm arms wrapped around my frame before he tilted me back, almost in a dip as he moved his lips again mine. Fireworks and cheers crackled alight in the background as we kissed. The only thing I could focus on however, was us. A multitude of feelings coursed through my body vividly before we pulled away.

There were three little words that danced on my tongue, as we stared at each other in a state of enchantment that night.
