《This Is Me》10

I ended up going home with my brother and his boyfriend after Clay ran off. I didn't want to tell them what happened, though I didn't even know that myself either. We walked home and my brother asked me to go to my room.
'My boyfriend asked if you could show him your dresses. You don't have to, if you don't want to. Don't worry.'
I smiled shyly. 'Does he actually want to see them? I would love to show them to someone.'
'He wants to see them, you can do makeup together if you want.'
I smiled and grabbed my favourite dress, walking to the bathroom to change up in it. Meanwhile, my brother's boyfriend came into my room too and I prepared myself to walk out of the bathroom.
I had never shown anyone my dresses in real life next to my brother. Clay's dad had seen it, but not when I actually wore it. I sighed again and knocked on the door. 'Can you help for a second?' I yelled at my brother.
He quickly slipped in and closed the door again. He smiled. 'I'm so proud that you're my sister.'
I felt my facing growing red as he called me his sister. I tried suppressing a smile, but I couldn't and smiled brightly. 'Sister?'
'Yes, you're my sister. I know you feel like a girl in this beautiful dress.'
I squeezed my hands in happiness and smiled. 'Thank you so much, this means so much to me.'
'I love you,' my brother said as he gave me a tight hug. 'What did you need help with?'
'I was nervous to go in. Is it alright?'
'It looks amazing,' my brother smiled as he grabbed my hand. 'Let's go together.'

I nodded and we walked in together. My brother pointed at me. 'Then here I introduce you to my sister,' he smiled.
I felt myself get red again and smiled. 'This makes me so happy.'
'You're a beautiful girl.'
I jumped up and down because I was so excited and turned around in my dress. 'This is my favourite dress.'
'I understand, this one is beautiful,' my brother's boyfriend said.
I smiled. 'Thank you.'
'We can do makeup, if you want?' he asked. 'I have to go home in ten minutes, but I can help you?'
'Sure,' I smiled and we walked to the bathroom together. He helped me put on my makeup and I smiled at the mirror. I was so confident, I felt so beautiful and pretty.
I walked back to my room as my brother's boyfriend had to leave to go home. My brother went with him to say goodbye to him and as I watched out of my window, I saw them hug and kiss each other shortly.
I was really happy for my brother and you often heard stories about siblings hating each other, but I loved my brother to death. I also really loved my sister, but she was way younger than me, causing me to be with my brother more.
My brother went back inside after he stayed with his boyfriend outside for five minutes and came back into my room. He sat down on my bed and smiled. 'I'm so glad that we understand each other, we are both part of the LGBTQ+ and it makes me happy that you will always accept me.'
'I love you, you're my brother. Of course I will accept you.'
'I will always accept you too, I love you either way. Boy, girl, non-binary, gay, straight. I don't care at all, I will always love you.'

'Same goes for you, I'm so happy that you have a boyfriend now. How did you meet?'
'We met at school, he also helps kids who have trouble with some subjects. He helps with English and Spanish.'
'That's great! You share a passion.'
'We do,' my brother smiled. 'Is Clay okay? Are you two good?'
I shrugged. 'I don't think he's happy and that sometimes makes me a bit sad. He bottles things up a lot and I feel like he's dying inside. He doesn't seem to be okay at all.'
'And talking to him doesn't help?'
I shook my head. 'He says that he doesn't want to talk about it, but he ended up having a panic attack. Maybe he will talk to me someday,' I said with a smile. 'I won't leave him, I just hope he won't leave me either if he will figure this out.'
My brother gave me a hug and stood up. 'Stay strong, I'm in the room next to you. I'm very tired, do you want to talk about it more?'
I shook my head. 'I've told you everything already and you can't solve it either.'
My brother nodded and smiled. 'I'm going to sleep, I have a headache.'
'Do you want me to grab some medication for you?'
'Don't worry, I'll grab some myself.'
'Okay, have a great night of sleep. You can also always come here if you want to talk.'
'Thank you.' My brother closed the door behind him and I heard the door to his room close a while later after I heard him going to the bathroom for some medicine.
I stood up and looked at myself in the mirror with a smile on my face. I was still wearing makeup and my dress, I actually felt so secure about myself. I wasn't insecure without these clothes, but this made me so happy at times. When I felt like a boy, I was just happy with my sweats and my shirts.
I turned around in front of the mirror and looked at some details of the dress as I suddenly heard the door opening. I hoped it was my brother, but I looked at the door in shock as I realised who was standing in front of me with a really mad look in his eyes. My heart started pounding as I realised what this was going to cause.
Clay was standing right in front of me with his mouth wide open.
