Lisa's POV

"Do you wanna spend the rest of your life with me?"

"Umm... no no that sounded commanding."

"I want to wake up to a million more sunrises with you."

"Aishh... that is really cheesy."

"I like your last name. Can i have it?"

"Oh my god that was way worse than the last."

I muttered feverishly to myself as i paced back and forth the side of the pond, rehearsing what to say later on. This was crazy i didn't understand how everyone else got through the anxiety of proposing to someone. Part of me knew that Jennie wouldn't possibly reject me but yet my heart didn't stop its palpitations. There were just so many possibilities and ways things could go wrong. What if she felt like she wasn't ready? What if my proposal was too simple and she felt disappointed?

I sighed and opened the ring box, revealing a pair of shiny and beautifully engraved engagement rings.

"Oh i can't do this." I groaned, shutting the box and walking over to sit on the bench.

I was at Pyeongchang Park nearby our hotel. There were a few people here mostly elderly and pet owners taking a stroll, the weather was breezy and cooling. The trees swayed joyously and the park was green and litter-free. Pyeongchang was the definition of a small utopia. The crime rates were low to none at all, people were nice and friendly, the atmosphere was lively and positive vibes radiate everywhere. It was a good idea to stay here.

I had told Jennie that i was going for a morning jog and luckily she didn't insist to follow me since she was tired out and sore from last night. Admittedly, i had put in extra effort to drain all her energy so that this morning could happen.

"You seem bothered."

I looked up in surprise as i recognized the voice that greeted me.

"Mina?"

The youthful woman whom i haven't seen since the Taehyung incident stood before me. She seemed to be glowing much more than the last time i had met her and she smiled radiantly at me.

"What are you doing here? I mean, hi, wow its such a coincidence seeing you here, how have you been doing?" I asked, slightly at a loss of what to say.

Mina just laughed lightly and sat herself down on the bench beside me.

"I'm doing great, thanks for asking. My friend recommended me this place and i have to say i really like it here. I took a time off to fix myself... reevaluate some things, and now i feel better than i've ever been. Anyway, I was surprised to see you here too. Where's Jennie? Why are you here alone?" She asked curiously.

I sighed. "She's at the hotel. I'm kind of uhh.. about to propose to her later. But right now im freaking out because im afraid that things wouldn't go as planned." I confessed.

Mina gasped and clapped her hands in delight. "Wow really? That's amazing. Congratulations in advance! Don't worry too much Lisa, as much as i don't know both of you well to say a lot, but i can tell that your relationship is pure and both of you love each other very much. And that's all there is to it right? Just gather up your courage and do it man! Most importantly be yourself. You don't have to stress about saying some fancy dialogue that can be compared to a Romeo and Juliet skit. I'm pretty sure all girls just want to hear something that is sincere and true. I'll be rooting for you right here in Pyeongchang."

Hearing Mina's words of encouragement and advice, i felt much more confident and certain. She almost even made me feel silly about worrying so much.

"Thank you so much Mina. I don't know if i could've done this without you." I said smiling. "By the way......" A sudden idea came up to my head and i decided to ask her.

Mina looked at me in surprise and grinned. "I would love to.

————————————

When i got back to our hotel, Jennie flung herself into my arms the second i opened the door.

"Honey, i missed you, i was getting worried and about to call you. Where did you go for so long? I thought you were just going for a morning jog." She said pouting cutely.

My heart warmed at the sight of her and in a swift action i carried her off the ground, making her scream and giggle in delight as i walked us into the living room.

I plopped us onto the sofa chair, her arms still encircled around my neck and mine wrapped around her waist and thighs.

"I'm sorry for making you worry baby. The weather was just so nice out so i spent a longer time at the park." I said kissing her on the nose.

She flashed a gummy smile at my gesture and i couldn't help but pull her closer and kissing her on the lips softly in which she returned. Our kiss was gentle and sweet with no sign of a rush or any sexual innuendo.

After awhile i pulled away, resting my forehead against hers and staring into her beautiful brown eyes. In that moment i was lost and despite the original plan, i threw everything out of the window as i spoke. "I know this is quick but... Jennie Kim, will you marry me?"

And at that moment life seemed to pause, the whole world held its breath as the air stood still.

Jennie's eyes bore into my soul, reaching deep until slowly, they scrunch up and her smile reached her eyes as she gazed back at me with the same intensity before mouthing yes.

Fuck! My heart exploded with immense joy and happiness and my body felt like it just left the earth. She said yes? Did she really say yes?!

"Yes, Lisa Manoban. I will marry you." she repeated out loud and clear as if reading my thoughts.

I smiled the widest i ever had my entire life and i lifted her up from the chair, twirling ourselves around as she screamed in laughter.

"Lisayaaah~! Put me down we're both gonna fall!"

"Fuuuuccckkkk! Jennie Kim said yes! Everyone you hear that!? This woman here said she'll marry Lalisa Manoban! She's going to be my WIFE!!" I yelled excitedly while Jennie clung onto me tightly and giggled aloud at my craziness.

"LisaAAaaaAaaaAa!"

I finally put her down and she brushed the wrinkles off her oversized shirt before gazing at me.

"Well... if im not badly mistaken.. i was just proposed to earlier so im expecting there should be a ring involved.." she said sarcastically grinning.

I pretended to gasp in shock. "Oh! A ring? Why damn me i totally didn't think of that. Should i rush down to the nearest mall right now and purchase one? Or maybe.. if you're not in a rush.. i could buy it online..."

Jennie pouted and i chuckled heavily before pulling out the ring box from my pocket and getting down on one knee.

She immediately covered her mouth and her eyes shone in delight as i revealed the rings. "Marry me Jennie. I promise i'll always love you in sickness and in health, i'll be there for you when you're in sorrow or when you're celebrating the happiest moments in your life. I'll be the one to protect you, to remind you that you're special, to take care of you always. I'll fill the rest of your days with joy as im sure you will for me too."

(*Insert can't help falling in love by Roséanne Park😭)

Jennie cried as she nodded her head, letting me put the ring on her finger before shakily putting mine on for me after i stood up.

"I love you Lisa."

"God knows how much i love you too, Jennie Kim."

***

"What are we checking out?"

"Yes i only booked for a night here."

"But you said- "

"We have somewhere else to be."

"But wher- "

"Trust me nini."

Jennie furrowed her eyebrows and pouted. I knew that she didn't like being kept in the dark but i could tell that she was trying her best to go along with my plans to show that she really did trust me.

I kissed her forehead, easing her frown slightly as i took her hand and hailed for a cab. I was feeling pretty excited and anxious myself of what's to come.

About twenty minutes later.

We got out of the cab and Jennie squealed in delight. "Oh my god! Wait. Wait. This place looks so familiar! I don't think ive ever been here but im sure ive seen it somewhere somehow."

I smiled knowingly. We had sort of seen this place together before, the last time we came here, but it was from a far distance.

(Jennie's recalled memory) I exhaled and produced a thick fog out of my mouth, it was cold and the weather was great here. It would be nice if i could actually live here, it seemed to be quite a simple and peaceful lifestyle to have. I wonder if those wooden log cabins on the mountains are vacant.

"Oh my god i remember! This is one of those log cabins on the mountain that i saw last year!" Jennie exclaimed.

I nodded my head.

"Wait....... are we going to stay here for the rest of the trip? That's why we checked out of the hotel?" she quickly catches on, hope evident in her voice.

I beamed and shook my head while she looked quite disappointed.

"We're not going to stay here for the rest of the trip. We're going to live here for the rest of our lives." I revealed.

Jennie's jaw dropped as she looked at me then at the cabin, then back at me again.

"Are you serious Manoban? Are you messing with me right now?"

"I am absolutely, dead serious. I even have the title deed if you want proof." I said unable to contain my grin at her obviously overjoyed face.

"Th- I'm- I- ....This is so awesome Lisayah! Oh my god how did you know that i would love to live here? And when did you purchase it? How did i not know?" Jennie bursts out with questions.

**

One year ago before Lisa's disappearance.

"Hello ahjussi, do you happen to know if the log cabins here are for sale?" I asked earnestly.

"I am sorry miss but the cabins here are only for rent." The old and wizened man replied politely.

"Please, could you do me this favor? I fell in love with this place I really love it here. How about this? Consider that im renting the cabin, but forever. I will pay the rent every month for the rest of my life. I'm begging you ahjussi, please let me own one of these cabins." I pleaded.

"Aish.. you youngsters nowadays... fine fine! But my wife better not know about this, otherwise she'll kill me!" He said smiling.

I shouted in joy and hugged the ahjussi, i couldn't believe my luck. "Don't worry ahjussi, i'll keep this a secret."

**

I simply shrugged and before i could reply, our new home the log cabin's door burst open, causing Jennie to jump in fright.

"HEY LOSERS! YOU GUYS TOOK A REALLY LONG TIME MAN EVERYONE'S BEEN WAITING!" Jisoo shouted.

Rosé followed Jisoo out of the door, followed by a mass of people. Their old classmates, Jennie's childhood friends, my friends from highschool, and Mina.

"Yeah Limario what took you so long?" Rosé asked inquisitively, not minding Jennie's obviously shocked state.

"W-What's everyone doing here? Jisoo? Chaeyoung? And oh my god Mina?" Jennie asked in wonder pointing at everyone.

"Slight change of plans. Come on lets get the party started." I said grinning.
