~At the hospital~

Lisa POV

"Miss, please wake up."

I felt a soft pat on my shoulder as i woke up abruptly.

"H-huh? Oh right. Yes doctor? How is she?"

I saw a tall handsome guy in his 30s wearing a neat white uniform with a stethoscope around his neck towering above me.

"May i ask, how are you related to the patient?" He asked politely.

Oh shit. What do i say? Ah fuck this if i say that Jennie is my colleague he might not tell me her condition and i will probably have to contact Taehyung which there is no way im doing that.

"She's my girlfriend." I blushed internally as i said that. Damn it sounded so good coming out of my mouth. If only it was true..

"Oh, well okay. See Jennie here, she hit her head rather hard, but she seems to be fine. I mean, there's just a slight bruise on the side of her head but nothing more. We did a brain scan but nothing showed up, which is strange. So i've come to the conclusion that Jennie is suffering from a weird medical condition. She has amnesia--"

"What!!?!" i exclaimed, interrupting his speech.

Oh God why is this happening. How will i explain to everyone what i did to Jennie! I'm so fucked im so fuc-

"--but it will only last one day."

".........."

I stared at the doctor but he didn't seem to be joking.

"You're being serious?" i said.

"Yes. Which means Ms Kim here will forget about everything that has happened within these recent years, such as memories that you may or may not have created with her recently. So if you guys have just started dating within these 1 or 2 years, she will not recall anything. Things that she has known for a long time, such as her name, what she likes, what she dislikes, she would still remember."

Oh.

Oh.....

The doctor's words start to sink in slowly.

"So if there isn't anything else, i'll take my leave. Also, she can be discharged today. Just be patient with her if she doesn't remember who you are." He gave me a wink before exiting the room, leaving me with my thoughts.

Woah okay calm down Lisa. I know what you're thinking.

"Hhm.." a small voice came from the room.

I spun around and saw Jennie stirring. She slowly opened her eyes. Then she scanned across the room and landed her gaze on me.

I gulped.

"Who are you? And is this- is this the hospital?? What am i doing here?"

She narrowed her eyes.

Oh god oh god what do i do?

"Hello? Can you hear me? I asked, who are you?" She huffed impatiently.

"I'm your c-" I stopped myself.

She has amnesia, but it will only last one day.

One day. Isn't that what i wished for? This is why all of these happened right? A chance for me to be her girlfriend for a day.

"I-I'm your girlfriend!" I squeaked.

"What?!? How is that possible?!" Jennie said wide-eyed.

"I-It's true, we started dating a few months ago. We came here together with our colleagues for a business trip and you were so excited to go see the christmas event that you rushed to the skiing mountain and someone knocked you down. That's why you can't remember anything. Especially us dating because it's recent. But don't worry, the doctor said you will regain your memories by tomorrow." I explained, faking a smile.

What a bunch of lies Lisa aish...

Jennie sat there and processed everything i said.

"I don't believe you."

I felt a pang in my chest. For some reason, hearing that from her really hurt my feelings.

Jennie must have noticed that my smile was disappearing because she quickly said, "I don't believe you, show me a picture of us together. Then i'll consider believing everything you said."

Well, fuck. I don't have a picture with Jennie.

She raised her eyebrow. "So?"

"I-I.. uhm. We don't have a picture together. Because im camera shy." I blurted out.

She stared at me for ten whole seconds.

Then she got up without saying a word, and left the room.

Jennie POV

"I don't believe you." i said coldly.

How could i anyway? I've never seen this girl my entire life and suddenly i wake up lying on the hospital bed and i have a girlfriend? And all my life i thought i was straight..

I noticed the girl's smile fading. I didn't realize how much more beautiful her face was with that smile. I mean, she really is pretty. Her big brown eyes and bangs and lips- Yah Jennie Kim what are you thinking.

"I don't believe you, show me a picture of us together. Then i'll consider believing everything you said." Well as long as she can show me proof, then i guess i can trust her.

There was a brief pause, don't tell me we don't even have a picture together? That's ridiculous.

"I-I.. uhm. We don't have a picture together. Because im camera shy." She said.

Is she serious? I stared into this beautiful blonde girl. An incredibly attractive person like her, camera shy? She must be joking.

I stood up and left without saying a word. Guess i'll call eomma and check with her. Wait no, i can't. She's a girl for goodness sake! How will eomma react if i ask her about me having a girlfriend? I don't think i came out to her? Aish jinjja.. what should i do i can't even remember anything this is so frustrating!
