YOU and your daughter continued to laugh throughout the Yokohama street because of small funny things. Until you finally looked up and found Sakaguchi Ango along with some of his subordinates waiting in front of his house.
"Oh, Ango!" You greeted him.
Ango gave a signal to his subordinates to lower their weapons. He realized your daughter was still with you. He just thought it would be a really bad thing if a girl around your daughter ages see someone with their weapons.
"[Y/D/N], go up to your room! Mama will be there in a few moments. Please don't come down before Mama says so, okay? " You asked her sweetly. She nodded and entered the simple building you called home.
"You rarely stop by our home, Ango. Is there anything you need?"
Ango pulled out his ID Card, making you looked at it. "I came here as Sakaguchi Ango of Gifted Special Operations Division." All of his subordinates pointed their guns back to you.
"Your husband is our new suspect for carrying Shibusawa Tatsuhiko to Yokohama." You rounded your eyes perfectly.
You was shocked to death. You knew Dazai won't do anything like that to harm Yokohama, especially you and your daughter. "It's a lie," you hushed. "It's impossible for him to do that! You're lying, Ango! You're lying!" You shouted at him, still can't except the fact.
'This will be the same as the conflict seven years ago.' Dazai's previous sentence immediately crossed in your mind. "Shibusawa Tatsuhiko," you said. "Dragon's Head Conflict," she softened again, remembering the conflict that covered in blood when she was sixteen years old.
"Right! I guess we can find him here. But apparently not." Said Ango.
You clenched your fists. You bit your bottom lip, trying so hard to not to cry. "Dazai can't do such a cruel things like that, Ango. YOU CAN'T ACCUSE MY HUSBAND LIKE THAT!" You screamed your lungs out, still can't except what Ango said before. All of Ango's subordinates immediately hit you with their bullets.

But the wings that formed from many sharp knives stuck to your back and protected you from the bullets. "My ability, Goddess of Calamity : Angel of Death!" You growled.
[ A/N :
Goddess of Calamity is an ability that allows the user to control many weapons without touching them. This ability is the same as Kyouka's Snow Demon, an ability that is transferred from someone else before them.
Angel of Death is a sub-ability of Goddess of Calamity. This ability can create a pair of wings made of hundreds or even thousands of sharp knives. The strength of the flap is able to lift the user flying high. ]
You can saw Ango panicked. "[Y/N], do you understand the conditions?! Anyone who opposes the Gifted Special Operations Division will be punished!"
"Well, Ango. You know I'm a mafia executive, right?" You asked. "It's almost night. Yokohama should be governed by us already. Whoever opposes us, I will kill them with my own hands!"
"[Y/N], enough!" Ango shouted at you. "Your life is in danger. Don't you realize that?! Your daughter was gifted too, right? All gifted humans are in danger. That's because Dazai-kun brought that person back."
You dropped your knees. "It's impossible," you muttered to yourself. You couldn't believe that Dazai would broke his promises five years ago. Moreover, he promised that in front of your brother, Odasaku. He promised he will always be on the side that saves people.
"Did Dazai-kun asked you or told you something?" Ango asked. You who could only sit while looking down shooked your head slowly. The knives that formed the wings on your back immediately fell and scattered.
But, 'Babe, what is it?' Yesterday you asked him about a pack of medicine on your bedside table in your shared room. 'Oh! It's an antidote. I asked Mori-san to give it to me last week. He gave it to me this afternoon.'

You suddenly gasped. "Why did he have to asked for the antidote from the boss? Isn't Doctor Yosano from ADA can make it too?" You muttered to yourself.
"What's wrong? Did you just realized something?" Ango asked you when he saw you gasped. You shook your head, not wanting to tell anything about what she just realized.
"In that case, we will look for Dazai-kun. We have also asked for help from ADA. I just want you to think broadly, [Y/N]. Think about what your brother would do if he were with you now." Said Angp, making you surprised again. you almost forgot that Ango was one of your brother's bestfriend.
"He will always be on the side that saves people and prefer to save the lives of his niece than the lives of his own friends. You know your daughter is in danger too." With that, Ango left you who was still sitting on the ground.
On the other side of the door, your daughter heard everything. She didn't obey your words. Although she didn't understand what was happening, she's still convinced that her mother was in danger. So with her ability, she tries to communicate with someone through her Crystal of Memories she made for that person.
[ A/N : Crystal of Memories is a sub-ability of Guardian Angel. This ability allows the users to communicate indirectly, whether consciously or unconsciously with a blue crystal as an intermediary. ]
"Uncle Chuuya!" Her soul shouted and Chuuya who was on the other side of the city could hear her. Dazai did once asked your daughter to make one Crystal of Memories for Chuuya just in case something unexpected like now happens.
"[Y/D/N]? What's wrong? Where's your mom and dad?" Chuuya's soul asked her in silence.
"Mama," Your daughter began to tremble because she wanted to cry. That made Chuuya a little uneasy. "What's wrong? What happened?" Chuuya tried his best to sound calm. "Mama is in trouble," she muttered. your daugther explained what she saw and heard.
"I'll be there soon." He said.
"Will Papa be okay?" Your daughter suddenly asked.
Chuuya was silent for a moment. He knew what was happening. His boss told him everything, remembering that you and Chuuya were both executives from Port Mafia. But on the other side, Chuuya knew what Dazai was like. Even though he really hated Dazai, he knew Dazai wouldn't do such a cruel things to their hometown.
"[Y/D/N], you know him well, right?" Chuuya asked who was answered by your daughter 'hm's. "Believe me, he did that to protect you and your mom. Just like the stories that you had heard. He is a hero. Now you'll back to your room and don't come out. Will you obey me now?"
"Yes, i'll obey you."
"Good girl."
With that, your daughter disconnected her soul with Chuuya's Crystal of Memories.
Chuuya growled at himself. He clenched his fists. "That Dimwit Dazai!"
How many times they told you the bitter truth, you always choose the sweet lies that he created with you. You refuse to believe that fact.
: So... bored already? i'm sorry~ here, here our tangerine-ginger sexy boi, chuuya as your bestfriend.

Epilogue
Revised version now available! Amazon paperback, ebook, audiobook, Kobo, B&N, Google In the war-torn land of Cyraveil, four heroes strove to overthrow an empire. By cold steel and elemental sorcery, they brought peace to a warring land on the brink of destruction. As the flames died, the realm needed strong leadership, and who better than the champions who had saved the kingdom? But when the people sought out their saviors... they vanished. Matt, Blake, Jen, and Carl: the four mysterious companions, who together had deposed an insane ruler and saved countless lives, were gone—spirited back in a whirlwind of magic to a sleepy suburb in Mellbridge, Oregon, never to return. The friends found themselves home in the real world, exactly as they'd been the night they were taken, as if no time had passed... except only three came back. Hi there! This was my entry for National Novel Writing Month, because why only write one series at a time? The more the merrier! (meanwhile, my keyboard bursts into flames...) I'm also the writer of The Last Science, an ongoing low-fantasy/speculative sci-fi series. If you're familiar with that, you know what to expect here: lots of character-focused drama and dialogue, not a whole lot of traditional action. However, I'm writing a bit differently than usual here, and in a very different structure, so there should be some surprises for returning readers. I hope you enjoy it! [Discord] — for those of you who want to hang out and chat. Cover art (fullsize): Path of Revelation, by taenaron (Tobias Roetsch), modified by Etzoli. Normally I like to do my own cover art from scratch, but I was in a rush for the contest. Might be replaced down the line if I get time. Adelaide
The entries here are transcribed from the log of Marie Ruiz, first mate of the Adelaide. It was definitely, definitely not published without her permission or knowledge by a certain lovable artificial intelligence for the purpose of sharing it with my AI friends on other ships who follow it like a soap opera. No way, no how. Remember guys, don’t go spreading this around too much. Only pass it on to those you can trust. God forbid this should ever end up on a public network… (Adelaide is a science fiction web serial featuring the adventures of a crew of smugglers. In space. It’s on the softer end of the soft/hard sci-fi spectrum because the author got a C in physics. Updates every other Sunday.)
