"Sweetheart, it's time to get up."

Up, its time to get up. I repeated to myself. Opening my eyes I felt like the room was spinning as a roaring headache struck me. I felt like I was hit by a truck a thousand times over again. Sighing I sat up, rubbing my eyes.

"Good morning, sweetheart," shivers ran down my back. In front of me was the monster that has hunted me. "Mommy found you," she smiled tilting her head. "Now its time to end all this, don't you think?"

"Why me? What do you even what?" she started to laugh.

"What I want?" She laugh. "I want you dead and I want him," she pointed at the body next to mine that was covered by the blanket. Looking at this person I quickly moved the covers.

"Connor," I whispered.

"I will have him again," she whispered.

"Why?" I yelled, turning my head to her. Now holding Connor. Glancing back to where he once lay, he was gone.

"Your so funny, human," she walked behind him, running her finger on his chest and down to his stomach. "He's mine. Always been mine. And once you are gone, he will come to me and we will be together forever." There was no way my mother knows Connor. So how can he have been hers? My mother played with her hair as she ripped a black flower off of her hair tie. She threw the flower on the bed. As it dropped the sheets started to turn red around it and continued throughout the bed. "The wish shall be granted," it says as she leaped forward.

To slow to react, I felt unbearable pain. The air in my lungs escaped me as I gripped her arm trying to prevent her from digging in any more. Slowly looking down, half of her arm was inside my stomach. Tasting my own blood in my mouth, I tried not to cry but the tears just fell.

I was going to die...

...

"Dawn," closing my tired eyes I let the whispering voice call to me. My body felt warm but cold as I felt liquid spill out of me. "Dawn, wake up," he called. Opening my eyes everything was blurry, blinking a few times until Connors face came into view. "Hang in there," he screamed.

Giving him a gently smile, "I'm alright."

For the first time I watched tears fall. With his arms around me and he rocking us, he placed his forehead to mine. "Forgive me," he whispered as one of his tears fell on my cheek to my ear. Having my eyes shut he kissed my forehead and placed his hand on my cheek. "Dawn, Dawn," he yelled.

"Connor," struggling to lift my hand, I finally touched the hand that touched my cheek. Taking it, I moved my head were I rubbed my lips on his wrist. "I'm... sorry."
