《The Reality Of Nightmare (BxB)》CHAPTER I: BAD ANGEL

"I'm a bad kid and I will survive.
Oh I'm a bad kid, don't know wrong
from right." – Lady Gaga, Bad Kids.
.
My mother, the Queen of all Angels, looks at me with utter annoyance and disappointment as she looks at the pond that reflects all life on Earth. She doesn't like it when I say Hell or Hail Lucifer, but anyway, who would? I'm an angel – we are angels for Pete's sake – and everyone is not going to appreciate my snarky mouth. Even my father, who is the King of all Angels.
I can practically see the disappointment in his eyes as well, even though he's not here with us. He's currently in a business meeting with the other worldly creatures such as Pixies, Shamans, and the Enchanters.
Her gaze returns back to the bond, with the water pale as the truest form of the calm sky. My mother shakes her head at what she's seeing; a man raping a woman in a dark alley just near the establishments of the town. The woman is crying, hot tears running down her cheeks as she tries to get the man off of him, but the man is too strong. The prayer of the woman has been delivered by Zadkiel, the angel of prayer. I can practically see the gears working in my mother's head, and she'll think of the fair punishment she'll throw on the man who is still raping the girl.
Humans and their sexual urges, I think, groaning to myself.
"Hadraniel," my mother calls out my name in a faint whisper, and I look up at her. Her golden blonde hair freely cascades down her body, reaching her curve-y waist and any man who looks at her desires her most. She's wearing the Queen's crown, a small crown with gold and silver jewels embedded on the golden metal. Her skin is fair white – she looks like a porcelain doll, and her shoulders are showing. Her white as the clouds dress, with silver jewels sewn on the waist up to the cleavage are glinting brightly. Her eyes, the most vibrant color of green I've ever seen, are sad, probably because of what she has seen a few minutes ago. "Please call Sariel, Manakel, Jophiel, and Raphael. I'll have them go on Earth and fix the mess that has happened to the woman. It saddens me that this stuff always happens. It must be prevented."
Sariel is the angel of guidance; Manakel is the angel of peace; Jophiel is the angel of enlightenment; and Raphael is the angel of healing. I scowl at the names of the angels my mother has given. There's this feeling inside me that I should be the one fixing this. After all, love fixes everything. "Maybe –"
"No, Hadraniel." My mother decides to interrupt me before I even protest. Her sad eyes bore into mine, and I know that I have to follow her orders. After all, she's my mother and the Queen of the Angels. Her words are powerful more than mine, and I can't do anything about it. "You don't know what you're capable of; you are the angel of love yet you still don't know what its purpose. I'm afraid to tell you that you're still not ready to take risks. Love conquers all, fixes all mistakes and such. Those are just a mere statements to you, Hadraniel. Sometimes I wonder why you have been chosen as the angel of love."
Her words are like a knife, stabbing right through my heart and I feel pained upon hearing her words. Upon seeing my expression, her face softens and she cups my cheeks with her warm hands. She kisses my forehead and I look down, ashamed.

What my mother has said is quite true; I still don't know how love works. I don't know why there is love. It's just a feeling that every person shares with each other, and I don't know how it has become a big thing. It's not a big deal for me.
Perhaps that's why I always see the disappointment in my parents' eyes; it's because I don't know how I should work. I have been chosen as the angel of love yet I have no idea what love really means. I wasn't given a choice to choose what type of angel I wanted to be, I was just chosen unknowingly, even before I was born. And that sucks. I hate that. I didn't choose to be the angel of love yet I'm being punished just because I don't know how love is supposed to work.
"Go," my mother whispers as she looks back on the pond. Nodding my head, turning on my heels hesitantly, my white wings sprout on my back and I run, flying away as fast as I can from my mother. I feel heavy, not literally. It's like every core of my being is being destroyed as my mother's words replay inside my head like a broken record. I'm literally lifting myself up, but I cannot lift my spirits up. I'm a huge disappointment to my parents and I know that; what sucks is that I can't do anything about it.
Passing the enormous buildings of the Halls of the Angels, I swiftly turn around, soaring high into the Angel's World's Sky as I feel the wind carries me (technically it's my wings that carry me), and the cool brush of the wind against my skin sends a shivering feeling running up and down my spine, relaxing me. My eyes search for the angels and I find them talking just outside the Prayer Hall, their backs perched on the crystal walls of the hall itself. Landing down like a rocket on a moon, my wings fold into my back, disappearing as I approach the angels.
Manakel, the angel of peace, is the first one to notice me. He has this peaceful aura around him, and if ever you feel furious or frustrated, just come near him and he'll make your day peaceful. His eyes are a color of a royal blue, with flecks of gold around the iris. Manakel's blonde hair is combed sideward, giving him the look of an angel living in the 1900s. He has a pointed nose, and his height is just around mine, but I'm definitely taller. His outfit is an angel's gear: white shoulder pads with a gold lacing on the edge, cream shirt that has an overlapping circles just like a fish scale, a white warrior gloves, and pants made of silk with sloped stripes of gold. Just looking at him, I assume that he just got off from a warrior training. They all bow down to me. After all, I'm still the prince, the heir to the throne.
"Prince Hadraniel," Manakel says softly, tipping his head up and smiling at me. "It is nice to see you here."
"Please just call me Adrian," I say. I have probably told them to call me Adrian at least a hundred times but no one calls me Adrian. Hadraniel seems very formal, and I don't want anyone calling me formally. Manakel gives me an apologetic look and I nod at him. "My mother calls for your attention. Please bring Raphael, Jophiel, and Sariel with you. The Queen is located at the Pond of Life."

The angels bow their head once again and say "Good-bye" to me, and they all fly away, leaving me alone. The walls made of crystals are sparkling brightly, and they hurt my eyes. I glare at a distance, feeling jealousy bubble inside of me. I know that I shouldn't be feeling this way. Sighing, my wings sprout and open wide behind my back, and I fly away, leaving the Prayer Hall.
At a distance, I see the angels still flying away; they look like dots across the sky with the bright sun looming over them. Turning around I head into the direction where the angels usually stay if they are lonely. The place is just located at the corner of the St. Michael Street and St. Peter Street. Upon reaching the place, the angels are there, chattering with the others as they emanate happiness all over the place. Tall buildings glint as the sun hits them.
You would think that because we're angels, we don't have the modernity of life. But no, we adapt. We're not savages and thanks to the Humans on Earth, we learn from them. Not just the other way around. Dina is the first one to greet me, the angel of learning and she has a huge smile plastered all over her face. She approaches me, her brown hair spilling freely down her shoulders and once within reach, her arms extend and curl around me, giving me a bone-crushing hug; my wings fold behind me, disappearing.
"How's the prince?" She asks me in a teasing voice, pulling her hair back and a Sanrio band magically appears in her fingers, tying her hair in a bun. I narrow my eyes at her, crossing my arms across my chest and puffing out my cheeks like a 10-year-old kid. "Queen scolded you?"
I shake my head. "She just told me something awful and it made me realize something," a disappointment, really. Dina pouts at me, smiling sadly and giving me a hug once more, which I take openly and gladly. I just need warm hugs and kisses. The latter, Dina won't give me. "But it's okay."
"Are you?" she arches a brow at me, pulling away from me and I sigh. I'm not. She puts a hand on my shoulder, smiling brightly at me. "The Queen scolded you as a parent, not as a Queen. Harsh words might be the call for us to change, and it gave you realization. Your mother wants the best things for you, Adrian. She does not exactly show it due to her being the Queen of the Angels, but she loves you very much."
"I know," I respond, running a hand through my dark brown hair, sighing.
The girl shrieks as she's being cornered into a dark alley. The girl has a red dress, skirt so tight that it compliments her curve waist and bum, and she reveals a lot of skin. Tears wet her cheeks as it keeps pouring down; a man, who is wearing a black cardigan over a white shirt, keeps advancing on the poor woman. He has this dazed look in his eyes.
Trees begin to hum, rustling as the wind picks them up. I'm alone and mother is not here to say and order the angels. My heart races as my eyes go back to the scene unfolding in the pond. I need to help the girl; I have to save the girl from this crazy man.
Without thinking, my wings sprout wide behind me, flapping wildly and I jump into the pod and I'm suddenly transported into the world of Humans. The sun is soaring high in the sky, dotted with flying birds across light blue hue of the sky. Every street is crowded with people milling and walking, and every road is filled with a heavy traffic. My wings folding a bit, I soar into the direction of the scene. As the wind blows my face, my heart is beating loudly, pounding against my rib cage with a thud. My pulse rings in my ears, and it gives me a heavy feeling as I fly faster.
Once I reach the place, I find the man cornering the woman. Opening my palms up, a white orb begins to form above my palm and I throw it on the man. The man turns around me, and his eyes glow dark, striking me. I let out a gasp, taking a step back.
This man has been influenced by a demon. Dark and white orbs begin to mix in his eyes, and I take another step back. This is bad. At a distance, though it's faint, I hear the snarls of the demons. I hear a chuckle in the corner of the dark alley and my eyes shot forward, squinting in the darkness, trying to catch a glimpse of the culprit.
The name escapes my lips even before I think of them. "Abraxas,"
The demon takes a step forward, revealing himself and I let out another gasp. The demon has a striking black hair, so black that it looks like a void. His eyes are black, and his fangs are displaying as if it's a display for the museums, for people who want to be entertained. Even for a demon, he looks really attractive, with his hair pushed back, his naked torso and chest showing, he looks like he just came out of a movie. But yeah, I don't play for my team.
"I don't want formality," the demon says, chuckling darkly, his eyes trained on me. "Call me Avery," his stare creeps me out. I take another step back and the demon looks at me in amusement, as if he's amused to see how scared I am, which is he is in fact amused of seeing me scared. "Please to meet you, Prince Adrian."
"What the Hell –"
"I love it when you say words that are supposed to not leave your mouth," he chortles, grinning devilishly. "Makes you look hot. Turns me on."
"Curse you!" I shriek in annoyance, stomping my foot on the ground like a 7-year-old kid who has been denied of candies and other treats.
"Curse me?" he teases, laughing, throwing his head back. Abraxas shakes his head, grinning from ear to ear as he sets his eyes on me again. "You cursed the man, Adrian. With a tint of obsession I put in him, you used your power of love to put it in him. Mixing up potions, I see. Let me tell you this: It's not my fault that the obsession inside him has become larger, so good luck with that."
Abraxas laughs again, this time, more darkly and I shiver, shooting the demon a dagger look and his dark wings sprout behind his back, flapping wildly, making me step back. The demon soars high into the sky and I hear his words ring in my ears: Leave before the other demons eat you up alive. Looking at the man who is currently killing the woman, tears brim in my eyes and my wings unfold behind my back, and I soar high into the sky, leaving the man and the woman alone.

How am I Supposed to Save This World with No Power?
Wu Li was but a student trapped in a future he did not want when the Portal sought him out to become the Savior of an entire world. However, unlike any beings born in that world, Wu has not a single ounce of power within his body. Worse yet, he's the fourth one that's been summoned in history and he's got massive shoes to fill. How will he overcome his own powerlessness and become the savior that everyone expects him to be? With a beautiful girl acting as his slightly disappointed yet adorable guardian, a smoking hot rivalling bounty hunter from the High societies out to take his head, and countless other encounters along the way, Wu fights on to become the greatest of the four saviors, while seeding this world with...the principles of science. This is a story set in a world with a rich history of the magic power known as the Wave, and all native species are capable of interacting with the Wave to obtain power in a variety of ways. Think of this as a combination of Dr Stone and Black Clover! I am writing this story using similar structures to anime seasons, and the chapters in itself are structured more like manga chapters. The first two seasons are already planned out, and it is likely going to be daily upload (12 noon EST) of chapters from ~ 2 k words in length during the 'season' when there is backlog of chapters, with a week or two of a break in between seasons if no backlog. If you liked this story, please drop a rating and review. If you hated it, please drop a review and help me get better. Don't just spam a 0.5 rating and leave like a coward lol.

My cheeks burn red as I look at my shoes, "I-It doesn't hurt.." I repeat like a dummy and listen to him clear his throat, "So do you actually live there or was it bull?" He puts his box down before walking over to one of the grey bins. I nosily watch as he pulls out a big grey sweatshirt, "Here." He holds it out for me to take and I stare at him with wide eyes, "F-For me?" I hesitantly grab the soft fabric as he chuckles, "Nah for ya mom."
