One week, it had been one week G.Li didn't see the emperor, not a single glimps.

"Miss Li, the food is getting cold.", Xiao hua informed with a worried voice. She was not used to see her food obsessed Miss ignoring food like that.

G.Li came out of her riverie and looked at her bowl filled with soup, her eyes overflowing with tears as she remembered the days, her husband would pat her hair while watching her eat like a glutton. She would find it annoying but he always insisted on feeding her on his lap. While she would chew her food making ugly noise, he would look at her like it's the most adorable scene to watch and he would kiss her head every now and then.

But now, he doesn't even care to show his face. G.Li's heart throbbed with pain as she remembered his cold expression when she saw her the last time.

She didn't know why she was feeling so hurt when she was the one who didn't want him around her. She was the one who pushed him away! And now she missed him like death every moment of the day.

"I won't eat. Please take the food away and distribute them among the servants."

She added knowing if she doesn't eat, the food would end up in trashcan, even in her misery, she couldn't let food be mistreated like that.

After the servants took the food away, G.Li sat by the window looking at far.

"Hello, missy." a deep voice called making her scream in fright.

"Shhhsshh" Su Jia, the infamous demi god warned her pressing his palm over her mouth.

"Don't scream otherwise I would have to disappear with you."

G.Li nodded vigorously, her eyes tearful with all the fright and shock she was going through.

"What are you doing here?!" She whisper yelled when her mouth was free.

"Tell me, Gongsun Li. What are You doing here?" Su Jia repeated her question, his eyes narrowed as if accusing her.

"What do you mean?! You are the reason, I got transmigrated, remember?!"

"I do, very well so. But I think you don't!"

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"Your duty, Gongsun Li. What about your duty?! Stopping the war? Does that ring a bell?"

G.Li gulped staring at the demi god with guilt. She did nothing to fulfill her transmigration duty. But why would she? It wasn't a job she took willingly!

"I- I can't do anything now. The- the emperor doesn't take interest in me anymore." she said, her eyes downcast to hide her emotions.

A loud laugh rang around G.Li's chamber as she stared dumbstruck at the demi god who was rolling on the floor laughing.

G.Li's anger flared up at his words.

"He doesn't! He doesn't even come to see me anymore. I can do nothing for you! Please let me return to my world and find you someone else to stop the war!"

"How selfish you are!" Su Jia murmured with disgust. "A war is going to break out taking thousand of lives and all you care about is yourself! Only you can stop the war, G.Li!"

His everyword felt like a slap.

"Oh, sorry. Forgive me for not believing a complete stranger who claims to be demi god. I don' trust you, okay? And I don't believe that the emperor can take so many lives. He is the most kind person I -

"Interesting, hmm", Su Jia drawled cutting of G.Li. " Never thought you would fall in love with him, G.Li."

"What?! I did not fall in love with-

Uggh, this demi god potato! Will he ever stop cutting off me!

"I mean, it's good that you did not fall in love with him. If you did, you would be hurt knowing where he has spent his nights these days."

Gongsun Li felt pain slicing though her chest and twisting her heart like a knife. No, she was not sad. She totally was not sad. It's just shock which tasted like death to her.

A choked sob escaped her throat as G.Li got ready to tell Su Jia off. But when she looked at the place he stood, he wasn't there anymore. He vanished leaving G.Li a miserable heartbroken mess.

G.Li could only suffer there crying as his last whispers rang in the air,
