"Niangniang, please reconsider your decision.", Xiao hua cried out holding the hem of her madam's robe. "His majesty will burn the entire palace if he gets to know about your sudden departure!"

"He can do whatever he wants, I am not changing my decision." Gongsun Li stubbornly tucked the male robe around her little body that she and Xiao Hua managed to steal from a palace guard. Not to mention, that poor guard was busy in showering naked when his robe was taken away, and the rest is history.

However, G.Li ignored her sobbing maid and checked herself out in the mirror with satisfaction. Though that robe looked too big on her, still she could be considered as a boy (thanks to her flat chest)

"Okay, okay, don't cry anymore. I promise to return before sunset. Now bid me goodbye properly." she tried to placate her crying maid and stepped out the door cautiously. Before Xiao hua could stop her, she disappeared outside.

Xiao Hua could only sigh and wait for the impending storm.

Gongsun Li was only a second away from sneaking out when an earth shattering scream resonated all around.

"Catch that bastard!!! He is running away with my clothes!" the half naked guard pointed towards her while running close at a very fast pace.

She frantically darted her gaze all around searching for a route of escape, but there was none. To add to her misery, all the other guards had started coming closer.

She is going to get caught soon!!!

Her heartbeat accelerated with every second, sweatbeads appearing on her forehead as she helplessly watched them running to her.

What is she going to do?? What if they realize that it was not some man that stole the clothes but their infamous mistress?!! Zhu Zhen'll surely hang her to death!!

Although defeat was unavoidable, she still tried her best to sneak out. What to say, a drowning man catches at a straw. But soon, she was tackled like a worthless potato sack and thrown into the infamous royal dungeons.

G.Li felt like bursting into tears.

Why, God, why?! In all the novels I read the female leads could sneak out easily disguised as men and never got caught. Then, why am I so unfortunate to end up in dungeon?!

Only if she knew, it was impossible for her to sneak out from the royal palace using such a foolish technique because-

"Yes, we all agree!" All the officials supported their colleague strongly.

Zhu Zhen's expression was solemn as he heard his officials chattering like monkeys around the table, but they were not wrong. The first prince is really getting out of hand, something has to be done.

But taking an official wife? Can he really do it?

He suddenly felt bitter even thinking about it.

"Zhen will look into it and take proper steps that should be taken. The meeting is adjourned for now.", he stood up and took long strides out of the royal hall not caring about the thunderstruck expressions of his officials.

Because now, all he could see a little face, a chubby beautiful face waiting for him. His whole body heated like it was on fire as soon as that face flashed before his eyes. Not to mention, a certain part of his lower region was more than excited to meet her.

Holy heavens! Finally the night has come! Finally he could make her his, her body, soul and mind.

With long strides, he reached the door of G.Li's room and impatiently threw the door open only to find the bed empty. His restless gaze swiped all around the room. She was nowhere, even her mind-numbing beautiful scent was absent.

Zhu Zhen felt like his lungs were squeezed and he couldn't breathe. Worry, panic seized his mind and he couldn't think properly anymore. His eyes which were glimmering with excitement few seconds ago disappeared to a hollow coldness coating it to a scary redness.

A sudden urge to kill, to burn overwhelmed him and heaven knows, how he was tempted to follow it but the need to find her was more urgent. So, taking a few deep breaths, he closed his eyes. When they opened, they were glistening with fresh tears. His jaw clenched hard making all the veins on his throat pop out to suppress his immense desire to scream on top of his lungs.

But what came out of his mouth was,

"Find her!"

And again all the guards were spread out all around the capital searching for their supposed mistress, but what they did wrong was, nobody bothered to search in the dungeon.
