What is this suffocation?

This claustrophobic feeling

Of being choked to death?

Neither can I smile

It's oceans away from my existence

Nor can I weep

My eyes have become a desert.

You take my smile

And now my tears, too?

Why, Krishna?

Why would you do that?

You don't understand

I need to weep

To thaw my frost bitten heart

To soothe my soul

To tell my body that

It's okay to grieve.

And I cannot.

I've spent eternities weeping

The oasis has dried up, it seems

My eyes have become miles of desert sands.

Don't feel.
