Elena and Natalie were sitting, waiting for Elijah to wake up. She was currently bored so she was reading on her kindle.

Her head quickly looks to Elijah as she hear a him groan. Elena moves closer to his body trying to get his attention.

"Elijah."

He gasp. "Katerina!" He is then pulled into a flashback.

The flashback ends. He looks at Elena before passing back out. Elena goes to touch him but he bends scaring both her and Natalie.

He quickly gets up. "I can't— I can't breathe! What's happening to me?"

Natalie realizes that he can't be in the house. Thinking quick she teleports him outside.

Elena looks at her confused before she runs to the front door. Natalie walks out behind her. She was not running.

They both see him bend down on the front porch. He tried to vamp speed in the house but is block by a barrier.

"What happened?"

"Shh!" Elena points upstairs indicating that Stefan and Amon are still here. "I'll tell you. Not here. Can I trust you?"

Natalie scoffed at that question. "The real question is can he trust you?"

Elena hand him the dagger with the knife part towards her. He grabs it and make their way to the car.

"I'll be back as soon as I can."

"Yes, so hurry. I'm anxious to get out of this body. And if you get hung up, call me. You know how impatient I get."

Alaric/Klaus closes the door behind Maddox.

"Where is he going?" She then hands him a cup of coffee.

"To retrieve me. So I can get out of this bad hair do." He takes the coffee and walks away.

"Are you sure that's a good idea, Klaus?" Katherine asks

"Well, the full moon is almost upon us. I've killed the witch, I have the moonstone, I found my soulmate, and the doppelgänger is waiting in the wings," He breathes in and out. "Ohh, I am so ready to break this curse."

"And why would you do that here? There's so many people that would try to stop you." She asks confused.

He exhales. "Because I have to it's the birth place of the doppelgänger."

"I didn't realize that was a requirement."

"Well, how could you? You betrayed me and fled England before I could give you the details, Katerina." He moves around the counter and in front of her. "But I did find your birth place and I slaughtered your family, so I guess we're cool. Let's just hope that Elena isn't as stupid as you are."

He walks away and she speaks. "She won't run." She turns around to look at Klaus. "She'll die before she lets anyone that she lives get hurt."

"And that's exactly what I'm counting on." He looks into her eyes and compel her. "You can't leave until I tell you to."

Elena parks the car on the side of the road. She looks toward Elijah. "You look better."

Natalie rolls her eyes.

Elijah ignores what she says. "Where did you get the dagger?"

"I'll tell you everything. But we have to work together Elijah. I need your word." Elena says while looking at him.

Natalie became angry. "How do you expect him to work with you if you dagggered him twice."

"Natalie is right. Your ability to make demands has long passed."

"No demands. I'm offering you my help and in return. I want yours."

He finally looks at Elena. "And why should I even consider this?"

"The same reason that you haven't killed me. You need my help to kill Klaus. And I need you."

"Do really need to kill him I mean I met him and I really want to see him in his real body."

Elena looked back at Natalie with a angered face. "Why would you want to meet him. He killed Bonnie and trying to kill me. He's also using Caroline in the sacrifice."

"First of all don't get angry with me and Klaus is not off the hook for 'killing' Bonnie. 2 he won't use Caroline cause I'll give him someone that deserves to die. And 3 you need to stop trying to get people to save you. Maybe learn some self defense or something."

After Natalie stop speaking she hears a phone ringing. Elena looks at her to see Stefan calling her.

"Where are you? Are you okay?" Stefan asks worried.

"Yea I'm fine." Elena answers

"Where's Elijah?" He asks

"He's right here."

Stefan looks away from Damon. "Where, I'm on my way."

"No Stefan, Elijah and I need some time alone."

"Listen to me. He can't be trusted. He'll use you to get Klaus." Stefan tells her sternly.

Elena sighs before answer. "Elijah is a noble man, Stefan. He lives by a code of honor. I can trust him. He knows that I'd be incredibly stupid to betray him again. By removing the dagger, I have proven myself."

"You can't do this alone."

Natalie was doing signals telling her to not tell Stefan she was here.

"It's my decision, Stefan please respect it. And make sure Damon doesn't do anything stupid I'll be in touch." She hangs up and Elijah holds his hand out for her phone. She places her phone in his hand. He places the phone in his suit pocket.

"He's here." Elena tells Elijah.

"Klaus is here?" He asks

Elena nods. "He's taken over Alaric body."

Elijah rolls his eyes. "Of course he has. One of his favorite tricks."

"Is he always one for dramatics? Natalie asks

Elena ignored her. "Well, what are his other tricks? What is he going to do next? You're the only one who knows that."

"Yes I do."

Elijah rings the door bell as Elena and Natalie are beside him.

Carol opens the door. "Elijah! Natalie, Elena what are you doing here." She then looks at Elijah up and down. "What happened?"

Elijah speaks. "I've had a bit of an incident, Carol. I'm hoping you could help."

"Well I'm on my way to a meeting so I-"

Elijah cuts her off and compel her. "I won't take but a minute of your time."

Carol smiles. "Of course anything you need."

"Thank you."

Elijah, Natalie and Elena walk in.

He looks down at the suit he's wearing. "Well, first things first. I'm going to need a change of clothing."

"Well, we can try one of my husbands suits. I haven't boxed them up yet."

"Wonderful."

Carol walks up stairs and Elena turns to Elijah confused. "How did you know she's not on vervain?"

"Cause I'm the one who got her off it. Right before you and your friends killed me." Elijah looks at Elena. "Twice."

"Uh we're not including me in this because I found out after the fact."

"Except Natalie. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be down in a moment."

"So I assume that the Martin witches are no longer with us." Elijah states.

Elena looks down. "No. I'm sorry."

"And Katerina. She would have been released from my compulsion when I died." He states agains

"Klaus took her. We think she may be dead." Elena says.

Natalie laughed. "I may not know him but that does not seem like his style."

"Natalie is right. Death would be too easy for her after what she did."

"I don't understand. You say that you want Klaus dead, but you still made Katherine pay for betraying him."

"I have my own reason for Katerina to pay. There was a time... I'd have done anything for Klaus."

Elijah tell us something from the pass. "Yes. Klaus is my brother."

"I heard that. I'm still processing."

"Yes I'm a little behind on the times but I believe the term you're searching for is' "o.m.g"

Natalie laughed as Elena just looked at him.

Elena turns to Natalie. "And why aren't you shocked Natalie?"

She shrugs. "Because I already knew this information."

"And you didn't think to tell us?!"

"Oops. Must of slip my mind."

"There's a whole family of original?" Elena asks.

"My father was a wealthy land owner in a village in Eastern Europe. Our mother bore seven children." Elijah says while fixing the suit.

"So your parents were human?"

"Our whole family was. Our origin as vampires is a very long story, Elena. Just know... we're the oldest vampires in the world. We are the original family and from us all vampires were created."

"Right but Klaus is your brother. And you want him died?"

"I need some air. I'm still feeling a tad.... Dead."

Natalie laughed. "I think I like this Elijah."

"Come."

"I'm not a dog Elijah!"

He smiles. "Technically you are."

"Haha." She smirks and uses her magic to push him out the building

Elijah Natalie and Elena are walking down the stairs and into the Lockwood backyard.

"So as you've seen nothing can kill an original. No sun, not fire, not even a werewolf bite. Only a wood from one tree. A tree my family made sure to burn." Elijah explains

"That's where the white ash for the dagger comes from." Elena says while keeping up with the two.

"Yes. The witches won't allow anything truly immortal to walk the earth. Every creature need to have a weakness in order to maintain balance."

"So the sun can't kill an original. Why is Klaus so obsessed with breaking the sun and moon curse?" Elena asks

"Right." Elijah smiles. "The curse of the sun and the moon. It's all so... biblical sounding. Don't you think."

"What's so funny?"

Natalie was thinking hard at Elijah words. She looked at Elijah to see him smiling.

"Elijah you clever bastard."

Elena looked at Natalie and Elijah confused. She figured it out just in time as Elijah explains what he did.

"I don't understand. So Klaus drew the Aztec sketches about the curse?" She asks confused.

"Roman scrolls, African tribal etchings, and any other culture or continent we felt like planting in it."

"But why?"

"Easiest way to discover the existence of a doppelgänger or to get your hands on some long lost moonstone is to have every single member of two warring species on the lookout for it." Elijah explains .

There's a long pause before Elena's asks. "So it's not Aztec at all?"

"The curse of the sun and the moon..."

"Is fake Elena. It doesn't exist."

Elijah held his hand for Natalie and they both walk across the little bridge.

"What?" She runs after the two.

"Klaus and I faked the sun and moon curse dating back over a thousand years." He continues to explain

"But if there's no curse..."

Natalie cuts Elena off. "There's a curse. Just not that one."

"The real one is much worse. It's a curse placed on Klaus."

Elena is confused. "What are you taking about?"

"Klaus has been trying to break it for the last thousand years. You were his only hope."

Elena phone kept ringing in Elijah pocket. "What is this curse?"

"Your phone will not stop its incessant buzzing. Answer it, please."

He hands the phone to Elena. "Stefan... what's wrong?... No. no, no, no, no. Okay I'll be right there."

She hangs up and look at Elijah.

"Klaus went after Jenna. I have to go to her."

"I'm afraid that wasn't part of today's arrangement." Elijah tells her.

"She's my family Elijah. I have to. I'll be back. You have my word." Elena says

"That doesn't mean anything until you live up to it."

Elena sighs. "Thank you."

She runs off. Elijah turns and is remembering a memory.

Natalie sighed. "You loved her didn't you Elijah."

He sighs. He turns and walks inside. Natalie follows after him.

Elena walks in side the Lockwood to see Natalie and Elijah talking.

She walks over. "Welcome back."

She takes her jacket off and throws is on the table. "Tell me. What is Klaus curse?"

"Okay rude I thought she didn't demand anything." Natalie says.

Elijah gestures for Elena to sit down. "Please."

She sighs before sitting down. "My family was quite close but Klaus and my father did not get on to well. When we became vampires, we discovered the truth. Klaus was not my fathers son. My mother had been unfaithful many years before. This was her darkest secret. Klaus is from different bloodline. Of course when my father discovered this, he hunted and he killed my mothers lover and his entire family. Not realizing, of course, that he was igniting a war between the species that rages until this day.

"A war between the species?" Elena asks confused.

Natalie sighed. "The vampires and the werewolves."

"So Klaus real father was from a werewolf bloodline? What does that make Klaus? A werewolf? Or a vampire."

Natalie thought if Elena was blonde she would fit the stereotype of dumb blondes. "He's both Elena."

Elena looked at Natalie and Elijah shocked.

"A hybrid would be deadlier than any werewolf or vampire. Nature would not stand for such an imbalance of power. Therefore the witches, the servants of nature, saw to it that my brothers werewolf side would become dormant." Elijah explains

"That's the curse that Klaus wants to break?"

"He wants to trigger that part of him that's a werewolf. If allowed, Klaus would Sure his own bloodline. He'd build his own race. Endangering not just vampires but everyone."

Elena stands up. "But you helped him."

"I helped him because I loved him. That's changed now he must die." He tells her

"Why though. I mean come on I'm sure Klaus is in his body and we are bound to meet. What's going to happen to me when he dies?"

"We will get there when the times come. But we have the dagger now. We can stop him."

Natalie laughed at this. "Silly girl. When a werewolf is wounded by silver, it heals."

"An original can't be killed by anything but white oak ash on a silver dagger. So you see the conundrum, the dagger does not work." Elijah explains

"What are you saying that Klaus can't be killed?" Elena asks

"There's one way to kill any supernatural species, at the hands of the servants of nature themselves."

"A witch. If they can channel that much power." She sighs. "But it will kill them."

"The curse must be broken during the full moon, When Klaus is in transition. That's when he'll be at his most vulnerable. A witch with enough power... can kill Klaus.

"What if I told you that I knew a witch that could channel that much power?" She tells Elijah.

Natalie was looking at Elena with a lot of hatred. She was angry that she would just offering up Bonnie while she was here. And if she wasn't she still would have been mad because she did not want Bonnie dying for Elena.

"Then I would tell you there's one more think that you should know."

He tells us how he tried to save Katerina.

"You found a way to save the life of the dopplerganger?"

"Yes Elena I did. But unfortunately, Katerina took matters into her own hands first. I believe you already know how that played out."

"You cared about her, didn't you?"

"She was able to fill something someone else couldn't."

He hands her, her jacket and leaves.

Elena, Elijah and Natalie walks in to see Damon and Stefan fighting.

"Stop!"

They quickly stop fighting at her voice.

"Now you've invited him in?" Damon asks

"Elijah and I have renewed the terms of our deal."

"Really?" He says sarcastically

"The two of you will come to no harms at my hands. I only ask for one things in return." Elijah tells them

"What?" Damon asks

Elijah walks forward. "An apology."

Natalie laughs. She knew Damon wasn't going to apologize. "Good luck with that. We all know Damon doesn't apologizes. I'm going check up on Jenna."

She turns to leave but turns around not knowing what room she's in. Elena sees this and tells her the room.

She walks to the room and knock, hearing a faint come in. She opens the door to see Jenna sitting on the bed.

"Hi Jens. How are you feeling?" She asks sitting next to her.

"I don't know. Learning about all this is a lot. Did you know?"

She sighs. "I was born as a werewolf and witch."

Jenna was confused. "How are you both?"

"My moms was a powerful witch and my dad was apart of some powerful wolf pack in New Orleans. But he's was in my life for a while until he was gone. Found out that some vampire name Marcel had a witch put a curse on them making him and the pack wolfs. But every full moon he's a human until it's over. Some full moons I go to see him or I transition in to mine to spend time with him.

I never knew my mom all I know now is that she's in Chicago. My dad told me they met when he was human at the time and she was visiting New Orleans.

"Wow I'm so sorry Natalie."

"Eh it's okay at least he calls unlike my mom."

By now she was sitting beside Jenna. "Okay enough about me how about I cheer you up."

"I would love that."

They spend the rest of there alone time with Natalie doing magic and watching movies.

Maddox And witch names Greta are chanting in Latin. Alaric is standing. The witch and warlock stop chanting and a gasp is heard from Alaric.

He looks at Katherine. "Elena?" And he passes out. Maddox opens a case and Klaus walks out in his real body. He looks at Alaric body on the floor.

"Now that's more like it."

AHHH!!!! I'm sorry for updating so late. School really kicking my ass especially art. But I got two of my grades up so I'm good. I'll probably be updating later this week cause I have a benchmark to study for.

BUT! I have call break this Friday and Monday so I'll be free if I'm not assigned any work.

Update 6/5/22: okay so if you're one of the people who are rereading this chapter and had a theory about Gloria being Natalie mom. Then I'm making it work😭!! So Gloria is gonna be a Bennett since they never really said she was one. Umm she met Natalie dad they did it she got pregnant didn't want a child gave it to the father. The father took care of Natalie until the curse was placed on them. Gloria found out and brought the baby to Abby who just had a baby and Natalie is 3 when she's raised by Sheila and growing up she learns she's a witch and believe her 'grams' so she practiced magic since a child. She tells Bonnie when she is age and they've been cousins ever since. This sound all out of place but this is the best I can go🥲
