"Klaus?" I step into my own house, listening to nothing. It was quiet, as if no one was in the house. Everyone, except Caroline and Tyler, where at an island that lead to the cure and Silas. We managed to complete the map on Jeremy's body, but they never told me how. I was too busy on babysitting duty watching Damon in the cellar since he was compelled to kill Jeremy.
I walk into my living room and see Klaus standing in the middle of the room, looking at the kitchen floor, which lays a dead corpse. I furrow my eyebrows and stand behind him. "Is that...?"
He doesn't say anything and I knew the answer was yes. I wasn't sure what to say, not knowing how he would react. I knew Klaus was hurting, but he kept that inside.
I grab his hand and he immediately squeezes my hand in comfort. "I'm sorry, Klaus."
The next morning I was sitting on my couch, staring out the window. Klaus hasn't move his spot and was still staring at Kol's lifeless body. I don't blame him though. I know how it feels to lose a sibling, more than once. We had a small talk throughout the night. I tried to comfort him with my voice but, he preferred some quiet.
"Morning, sunshine. You look pathetic." Tyler flashes a sarcastic smile once he walks into my house. His eyes lands on me, "Oh, Maya. Not a surprise you're here."
I roll my eyes, deciding not to answer. "Only until Bonnie's spell locking me in here wears off. Then I'll look different. Angrier, perhaps. Or I won't look like anything because I'll have gouged your eyeballs from their sockets." Klaus responds, his eyes gazing around the room.
"My friends will be back with the cure by then. So, I could shove it down your throat and make you mortal." Tyler chuckles, walking up to him, outside the living room.
"I'm an Original. What makes you think my entire vampire bloodline won't be cured along with me?" Klaus asks, smirking.
"You know what I think? I think that's impossible. I think the moment you stop being a vampire, our whole blood connection to you is broken, and your sire-line ceases to exist. So, whatever happens to you, happens only to you, which means I can kill your ass and no one else has to die. Although I am still debating just how to do it."
Klaus speeds towards Tyler, but stops due to the barrier. "I recommend drowning. There's nothing quite like the feeling of someone fighting for something as basic as human breath. And let me tell you, your mother was a fighter."

I knew this wasn't my fight but I had to say something. I stand up from my seat, "Just shut up, the both of you."
Both of their heads snap towards my direction, their faces showing opposite emotions. Klaus smirks at me, his eyebrows raised, whereas Tyler shoots daggers at me with his eyes.
Tyler opens his mouth to say something when Caroline appears from the back door and spots him. "You're still here? What are you doing?"
"Gloating." he responds and pours himself a drink. Klaus moves the other way and greets her. "Hello, Caroline."
She glares at him for a moment before looking back at Tyler. "Come home. Don't stoop to his level." Tyler shakes his head, "He destroyed my life. I plan on being present for every second of his misery until I can kill him myself."
"Fine. You can gloat and multitask. This place is a disaster. Starting with a horrific burnt corpse." Caroline says, eyeing around my house. She finds a table cloth in a cabinet and she and Tyler use it to cover up Kol's body.
"Tyler's mother is dead. So is my brother. We're even." He turns his to Caroline, "Call Bonnie. Get her to let me out of here."
"I will never, ever, help you." Caroline spats from the kitchen. "How quickly you forget the part where I saved Tyler from the misery of being a werewolf. Or the night your mother invited me into her home to save the life of her precious daughter." Klaus states, staring back at my friend.
I was far behind them, standing next to my couch while they continued to argue. "How delusional are you? You killed his mother. And let's not forget that we're standing in a house where Elena and Maya's aunt Jenna used to live. Or did you think that your charm would make us forget how you killed her, too? You know what? No. I am not going to engage in this. You are not even worth the calories I burn talking to you."
It probably wasn't good of me to not encourage myself in this conversation, because I was just listening. The minute I blinked, Klaus had already shoved my floor lamp into Caroline's stomach, biting her once he pulls her through the magical barrier.
"Now, that was definitely worth the calories." Klaus says, dropping her to the floor and smiling. "Caroline!" I yell, rushing over to her.
"Oh my god! Oh my god!" She continues to repeat this as I slide down the floor next to her. "Move! And learn how to control your freak of a boyfriend." Tyler shouts at me and pushes me out of the way.

I quickly move his hands off of me. "Don't touch me." I snap at him and he growls at me, launching at me when he gets pulled back.
"Don't you dare even think about touching a hand on her, you understand me?" Klaus growls at Tyler, standing over him. Tyler snickers, "I don't take orders from you anymore."
Caroline whimpers and Tyler looks down at her, before looking back up at Klaus. "She'll die if you don't heal her."
"Okay." Klaus bites into his own wrist and extends his arms, palms up. "Beg me to save her life."
"Is this what you want? To remind me that I'm powerless against you? Fine. You win. I'm nothing. Now save her. Please." Tyler pleads. "I'm sorry, mate. I didn't quite catch that." Klaus replies, wanting more from him.
"Please." Tyler repeats. "Please..." Klaus edges on. "Please save her life." Tyler answers him.
"See, now I think you're just telling me what I want to hear. I mean, you did call me pathetic earlier and try to hurt my girlfriend. And wouldn't it be more pathetic of me to help now, knowing that hours ago, you announced your plan to kill me in a manner in which you're debating because you want it to have a certain amount of flair? I'm just asking."
"I'll be your slave again. I'll do whatever you want. Just help her." Tyler pleads again and Klaus shakes his head, "No."
"Get me out of here. I can't even look at him." Caroline says, her voice full of disgust. Tyler nods and helps her up, "Come on."
I look up and watch him leave the room. Moments later, he comes back and lays her down on the floor. "You want to be in control, Klaus? Here. Now you get to be in control of her life. If you want her to die, fine. But then you can sit here and watch her die yourself."
Tyler leaves the door, shutting it loudly behind him. Klaus approaches her and she looks up at him. "Nothing personal, love. If I cure you, that means victory for him. Don't worry. It won't be long now."
"Klaus." I grab his attention, my voice soft, and he walks over to me. I know he knew what I was going to say. I can't watch my best friend die right in front of me. Not like this.
"You have to heal her. Please, for me." I beg him, trying to snap him out of his revenge phase. "As much as I don't want to disappoint you, I cannot. Tyler can't win." he tells me and I scoff, rolling my eyes, and walk away from him.
I sit next to Caroline and she grabs onto my hand. "Thank you for trying." She smiles softly at me, holding tightly on my hand as I frown at her. I can't let her die.
I feel Klaus' presence behind me and Caroline looks up again. "If you don't feed me your blood, I'll die." she tells him and I turn to look at him, and he was avoiding eye contact with me and Caroline. "Then you'll die, and Tyler will have learned his lesson the hard way."
"How could you do this to him? To his mom? To me?" Caroline asks him, her voice cracking. "I'm a thousand years old. Call it boredom." Klaus says behind me.
"I don't believe you." she tells him, staring right back at him. "Fine. Then maybe it's because I'm pure evil, and I can't help myself." Klaus states.
"It's because you were hurt," she says, closing her eyes once before opening them up again. "which means that there is a part of you that is human."
I hear Klaus shuffle behind me and I refused to look at him. "How could you possibly think that?"
"Because I've heard stories...from Maya. And I've seen it. How you look at her, talk to her, care for her. I know that you're in love with her. And anybody capable of love is capable of being saved."
Those words took my breath away and I sit still, unable to move. Never have I ever thought an original hybrid could fall for me. Of course I love him back, but those were Caroline's words and I needed to hear it out of his own mouth.
Caroline's breathing becomes weak and starts to fake, making me panic. I turn around to face Klaus, who looked torn. "Klaus, please..."
And all the sudden Klaus was giving Caroline his blood, and I watched Caroline heal in a second. After she healed, she rushed out of my house and I was left alone with Klaus, again.
I walk over to him, face to face. "It is true. I do love you." Klaus tells me, his eyes scanning my face. I give him a smile, pulling him closer to my lips. "Good, because I love you too." And with that, I connected our lips.

Legend of the Seven
Humans were cast out of Eden for committing the original sin. Now Seven will answer, should Humanity live forever? But first, join Team Six in their rescue mission turned daring prison break from death. Author's Corner: Welcome to the Legend of the Seven series #LOTSseries, my Guardians. This is my first novel turned webnovel. I'm returning to this fictional world after a 6-year hiatus with a lot of personal growth and insight. Insights gained from being a lifetime reader.I was the kid who read Harry Potter and Percy Jackson. I was the new adult who read I Shall Seal the Heavens and Ark. I've lost count of how many fictional worlds I've visited and lived through for I grew up on western novels but discovered eastern novels in my college years. This is my attempt to marry those two literary styles. It's my hope that this journey becomes more than just a book. If you're reading this simply expecting an ego power trip then turn back. There'll be action but with a lot of metaphysics and discussion on life with its accompanying issues. I strive to ground and make this webnovel relatable with verisimilitude. This webnovel is about choice. Freewill and its consequences. I give my characters autonomy to do and be themselves which sometimes leads to me rewriting and replotting because of pleasant surprises from my characters. Even the character who dies within the chapter they are introduced can have a massive impact with several ripples. So, there'll be stories on love and loss, hope and despair, but most importantly, it'll be a story. Release schedule: M, W, F - I aim for afternoon (1pm to 6pm) MST. I'm working on a project, codenamed "Guides' Sanctum", to make LOTSseries even more alive with special voice-overs, extra stories, behind the scene stuff, and so much more. But it can only come online when certain benchmarks are reached. The listed goals will help us get there. Goals:50 readers will unlock 4 chapters a week - Extra release on Thursday100 readers will unlock 5 chapters a week - Extra release on Tuesday250 readers will unlock 6 chapters a week - Extra release on Saturday500 readers and Project Guides' Sanctum comes online!Links:Lotsseries.blogspot.comSocial:@tonyswag0 - twitter@lotsseries - FacebookI'm thrilled at what is happening and what is still to come. Never be afraid to drop a comment. My DM is open. I'll work to keep this work free to access but I ask you to enjoy it from official sources so that you can be part of the discussion. There's magic in reading together to form a shared experience.Again, welcome aboard, my Guardians.

The Last Marshal
Weird West Fantasy Noir Once the Republic Marshals brought order to the chaotic lands along the Frontier, facing dangers both human and supernatural with ancient wisdom and a six-gun —but that was a long time ago. Destroyed by conspiracy and betrayal, all that remains of that secretive order is one nameless man on a trek though the West seeking revenge on the woman he blames for the Marshals' fall and his disgrace. When a visitor from our world joins him on his journey, they together must confront the horrors of a strange land, the mysteries of the past and the real meaning of their quest for justice. The world of Tellus is what 19th Century Earth would have looked like if the stories of Poe, Ambrose Bierce, Lovecraft and William Hope Hodgeson were real. History in this world moves slower. The old faiths persist and civilization never conquered the dark corners of the map, at least not without being inextricably changed. Technology and culture takes a little longer to evolve in this land, as people here tend to spend more time pursuing their elaborate revenge plots or trying to avoid being the next sacrifice to the Outer Gods rather than advancing science or statecraft. Imagine Cormac McCarthy by way of Edgar Rice Burroughs, though a little less testosterone-drenched than that description would imply. Three caveats: First, there are deep mysteries here, including how such a world came to be and who controls it. Second, this world is not wholly unconnected from our own. There is a historical point of divergence, but in the distant past. To paraphrase Twain: history in this world is not a repeat of our own, but it does often rhyme. And finally, this is not a setting that lends itself to happy endings.

Arching Choices
This is a story I used to do with people in an afterschool club, where I would make up a story, that the user/player would have options to choose from no matter how creative. There will be multiple polls, and I will read comments for the actions of the player, any one can play, because the charater will be gender neutral, but the choices will affect the story, whether it be your companions, and items you acquire. I'm a newbie writer but I just want to have some fun making a story. The chapters will be short so that the viewers can make choices. Longer chapters will be made once this has some good choice options. I thought it would be fun for the readers to develop the character's personality. Critisism welcome, because I have no idea how to write stories. P.S, Once the Character's personality is fleshed out the Synopsis will probably change

A magical fox Stole my body and gave me its
The story talks about a normal guy named Ivo having a near-death experience and having a bodyswap with a magical fox in another world. My attempt at mixing isekai with magical foxes and other beasts. English is not my main language, and my choice of trying to write in 1st person might not be the best, but that's how I could bring myself to write it so I'll cope with it.Updating is gonna be sporadic, but I try to aim at one chapter (1-2 pages) per week

Deliverance : an adaption of Jane Eyre
This is one of those 'what if' adaptations. I've always wondered why Mr Rochester had to be broken so thoroughly before he could be happy with Jane Eyre. What if she had not been able to get away, what if he had been waiting by her door a second time, pleading her to stay? Would she indeed have lost herself and been made his mistress?
