"Yahooo!~" I cheered while entering the school building. "Someone seems super excited" Jihoon commented while walking over to me with a bright smile. I nodded "Of course I am! you know how much I love sports!" "Yeah, not going to lie its scary how competitive you get sometimes" laughing at his comment we both made our way to the back of the school to help set up for the festival. After setting up we all went back to our classrooms where we waited for the students to arrive. As usual my students entered the classroom one by one wearing their athletic clothing. All their parents joined in since they wanted to watch the festival and film their child participate in different events.

While waiting for the rest of my students to enter the intercom turned on and I heard Mr.Chen (the principal) speak "Good morning everyone! today is the annual Athletics Festival, I hope you are all excited, in about 30 minutes I would like everyone to make their way to the back of the school to the field where we will be holding the opening ceremony! See you all there!"

Turning to the class I saw how they were all excited, all the children talking to each other while the parents talked to each other as well. "Miss Y/n!" a small voice chimed and I saw Leanne run in while Jongin followed after. Furrowing my brows I sent him a small glare before turning to Leanne with a smile "Good morning Leanne, are you excited for today?" she smiled and nodded her head "Yeah!! Im excited for the bread race! I hope they dont have the bread hanging too high! I cant jump that much!" laughing at her comment she went and joined the others. Feeling someone staring at me I knew it was Jongin. Meeting eyes with him he slowly walked over to me about to say something until another voice called out to me. "Miss Y/n! im here!! Appa is here too!!" looked behind Jongin a big smile plastered on my face seeing Taewoo and Jungkook.

"Miss Y/n! im here!! Appa is here too!!" Taewoo chimed while running into the classroom while I followed closely behind him. While Taewoo ran in and went straight to his friends, I walked in an immediately my smile dropped once seeing him standing there in front of Y/n. Jongin and I exchanged glares before he stormed his way towards his daughter. Walking up to Y/ns desk she sighed "Dont worry, he didnt do or say anything to me." shaking my head I glanced over to where Jongin was and saw him intensely staring at the two of us. "He better stay away... what he did to you back at the club was unacceptable." Before Y/n could reply to what I said the bell rang and all the students immediately lined up by the door with their parents. "Hey we'll talk once were outside okay?" she commented before walking away.

Y/n led the students and us parents down the hallway and outside towards the field where the festival was being held. All the other teachers and students from different grades were all in their groups. This brought back so many memories from when I was younger...

Sitting in the stands with the other parents we all watched as Y/n walked with the kids to their spot where she then handed them all a blue colored headband that they needed to wear so everyone knew what group they were in. Once everyone gathered I saw Jihoon stand beside Y/n, since he wasnt a homeroom teacher he joined Y/ns class. My attention was then on another male who walked onto the stage that was set up and towards the mic, he looked younger maybe around my age?

"Good morning everyone welcome to our annual Athletics Festival! I hope you are all excited. As you know both students and teachers will be participating in events!-" (Does that mean both Y/n and Jihoon will be participating?? I wonder what events their in...) I wondered while continuing to listen to the male speaking. "-If you didnt know my name is Ok Taecyeon and I am the athletics teacher! Now before we get started let me address that there is a board set up over there by the tent where each student must go to see what their event is! Now LETS ALL HAVE FUN!" Taecyeon bowed respectfully while everyone in the field cheered in excitement. "Now for the first event it will be the three-legged race for the students!"

We all watched as each grade raced until it was Taewoos class' turn. We all pulled out our cameras excited to see them all have fun and race. The whistle blew and there they go, Leanne and her partner were rather fast but I knew Taewoo was going to win, he was partnered with JB and they were the dream duo of the class. Not surprised Taewoo and JB won the race, we were all clapping and once that race was done it was the teachers turn.

Immediately scanning the track I spotted Y/n standing beside her partner who I was surprised wasnt Jihoon. It was another male teacher who I had never seen before. (Who is he???) thinking about who he was I then heard Kyungsoo (Minwoo dad) and Taemin (Minho dad) talking. "Who is Miss Min partnered with???" Taemin questioned while, Kyungsoo looked at the male and crossed his arms "Oh thats Mr. Kim Mingyu the culinary teacher... my wife cant stop eye molesting him whenever she comes to pick Minwoo up. "Lowkey Miss Min and Mr.Kim look kind of cute together." (WHat?!?!) eyes widening at their words they both then ended up laughing "Nah! Miss Min is way to good for him... I mean look at her"

Heaving a small sigh of relief I turned my attention back to the race. They were getting ready and once the starting pistol was shot they began to run. Into the race I couldnt help but notice how Mr.Kim wrapped his arm around Y/ns waist bringing her in towards him. I felt irritated... why did it have to be that good looking Mr.Kim dude.. why not Jihoon. Ugh. Surprised that they won the race Y/n and Mr.Kim high fived each other before untying their feet and walking their separate ways. Eyes still glued to her figure she looked towards the stands and once her eyes locked with mine she smiled and waved. "Oh look Miss Min is waving at us! lets all wave back!" Chanyeol (Haneul dad) chimed making us all wave to her but I knew she was waving at me.

The day went on and the sports festival was still going, earlier at lunch we had a break and we all ate with our kids while Y/n and Jihoon joined us as well. We were all having a good time enjoying the festival and happy to see that our kids were all having fun. Soon it was the final event of the festival while was the relay race for the teachers. We were all looking forward for this event since Y/n would the the anchor for her team. They all lined up and I saw that Y/ns team was herself, Taecyeon, Jihoon along with the female staff Lina.

All the other teachers lined up and they were all in place, all of us parents standing up in excitement the principal held the starting pistol high in the air before shooting it. Jihoon was the first to run and he was doing good, he was second place right now but not far behind from the first place runner. Exchanging the baton to Lina she began to sprint with all her might but it wasnt enough since the other runners began to pass her, currently in fourth place Lina gave the baton to Taecyeon who was surprisingly fast! Running like it was no big deal he easily passed the other runners going back to second place... our eyes all on Taecyeon and when neared Y/n he passed the baton to her and we all began to cheer as loud as possible. But I was left shocked.. once she had the baton in her hand she took off with such great speed... she was possibly faster than me...

(Shit.. were in second right now... and the other teams anchor is Mr.Kim Mingyu.. hes really fast....) I thought but quickly shook those thoughts off once I saw Taecyeon nearing me holding the baton out for the exchange. Grabbing the baton and quickly sprinting down the track I could see Mingyu not too far ahead of me. Picking up the pace I was now right behind him and all I could hear was the cheering from everyone in the area. But one voice stood out the most, taking a glance at the stands I could see all the parents cheering for me, quickly seeing Jungkook cheering the loudest for me that gave me motivation to push myself even more.

Focusing back to the track I could see the finishing line not too far ahead, pushing myself even harder I slowly began to catch up to Mr.Kim, both neck in neck sprinting side by side. I used the remaining strength I had left to pull through and cross the finish line a split second before Mr.Kim. "And Miss Y/n comes first! while Mr. Kim Minyu comes second place!" everyone cheered while Jihoon, Lina, and Taecyeon ran up to me before picking me up and throwing me up into the air. Placing me back down onto the ground Mingyu walked up to me with a bright smile "Who would have thought that you would be the first one to beat me at my own game?" he questioned while ruffling my hair playfully.

"I guess im just a natural athlete Mr.Kim" he chuckled at my response before quickly replying "Good job Miss Min.. until next year." I nodded and before he walked off he spoke "Lets grab some coffee next time" "Arasseo, Ill take you up on that offer Mr.Kim" Waving him goodbye we all began to group up with our classes for the closing ceremony. "Miss Y/n! you were so cool!!" my students chimed while all running up to me to give me hugs. "Miss Y/n! your faster than appa!" Taewoo yelled causing me to laugh.

We all walked back to our classes and got ready since it was the end of the school day. All the parents congratulated me for my wins before heading to their kids. "Y/n" looking up I saw Jungkook walking over to me, before I could say anything he grabbed my hand and brought me into a hug (?!?!?!) breaking the hug he looked at me with a huge bunny like smile "you were amazing! Im so proud of you!" he exclaimed while still holding my hand. Feeling my heart begin to race, I glanced down at our hands, realizing that he as still holding mine he quickly retracted his hands and awkwardly scratched the back of his neck "M-Mian, I-I was just excited" he commented making me giggle.

"M-Mian, I-I was just excited" I replied while awkwardly scratching the back of my neck. Hearing my phone notification go off I pulled my phone out from my back pocket and saw that I got a text message from Jin hyung...

Putting my phone away and seeing that Taewoo was making his way towards us I turned back to Y/n and saw her looking at me with her big doe eyes. (Should I??? hmm...) Nodding with my idea I then built up the courage to ask her what was on my mind. "Hey, are you by chance busy after??" "hmm? I dont think so why??" Fiddling with my fingers I took a deep breath

"Would you... uhmm.. would you by chance like to come over for dinner tonight?". Her eyes slightly widened at my sudden question but she soon smiled brightly while nodding.

"S-Sure!"
