《Moving On || Jungkook x Reader》°Ch.7°

"You sure this looks good???" I questioned while checking myself out in the mirror. After we left work Jihoon came over to my apartment room and helped me get ready by picking out my outfit along with doing my hair. I applied a small amount of makeup and stood up. "So how do I look??" I asked while showing him the final product. He smiled and gave me a thumbs up "If his heart doest skip a beat then he either has horrible taste in women or hes just doesnt have a heart, or maybe both... but honestly, you look amazing no matter what you wear" "ugh your such a sweet talker Jihoon." "I've bee told" he smirked while handing me my purse and heels that went with my outfit.
Checking the time I noticed that I had to be at the restaurant in 30 minutes! "Oh my goodness Im going to be late!" I exclaimed while running to the front door. "Hey dont worry I'll drop you off. If we take my car it would only take me 10 minutes to drive you there. Come on" Leaving the apartment building I hopped into his car and we drove off. After a few minutes the car pulled to the side of road and stopped in front of the restaurant. "Go on now!" opening the car door and stepping out I turned back to Jihoon and sent him a smile "Thank you so much!" he shook his head "Its nothing! Im your best friend.... just bring me back some dessert! Now go have fun"
Once he drove off I turned on my heels and slowly entered the restaurant shyly. "Hello ma'am do you have a table reserved???" the host asked. (Oh no... I dont know!) I began to panic and worriedly looked around in hopes I could spot Jungkook and luckily I did, he was sitting at a table by himself. I saw him glance around and once his eyes locked with mine he waved me over. The host noticed and soon gave me the okay to enter. As I was nearing the table Jungkook stood and walked around.. I noticed that his shirt was the same color as my dress... or well similar.
I got up and walked around the table pulling the chair out for her. As she was now standing in front of me I couldnt help but stare at what she was wearing. She was stunning. "Thank you" she spoke softly as she took a seat, walking back to my chair I sat across from her. "You look... stunning" I complimented wondering what her reaction would be. She smiled shyly as her cheeks slowly flushed. (cute...) "You look rather handsome." she complimented me back. Glancing down at what I was wearing I then commented "haha what a coincidence... were both wearing similar colors"

Y/n giggled "it must be fate~" she said jokingly making me laugh as well. After a few minutes of talking we finally ordered our dinner and ate while having some small talk in between. "Who is looking after Taewoo????" she suddenly asked while sipping on her glass of water. "Oh my hyungs are looking after him right now" "hyungs?? you have siblings??"
I shook my head and explained "Ani, just my best friends. Their all older than me but their basically my family as well." She nodded. Continuing to eat and talk our date was soon coming to an end. It only felt as if we were together for such a short amount of time but it was almost midnight. Receiving the bill from the waiter, I noticed Y/n pulling out her wallet. "I'll pay" she offered while extending her hand wanting me to give her the bill. I shook my head "Ani, its a mans job to pay for dinner." She giggled but still continued to offer but in the end I still paid.
Leaving the restaurant we decided to head over to the park which was right across the street. Taking a stroll beside each other we just enjoyed each others company. It was dark and quiet outside but peaceful. Stopping and sitting at a bench I then asked her the question thats been on my mind. "Im sorry if this might come off as rude... but ever since you told me that Jongin was your ex fiance... I couldnt help but be curious to why you both ended things. Its alright if you dont want to answer, this is your personal life... and I know we dont know each other that well" Y/n looked at me a bit surprised by the sudden question, she leaned back and looked up at the starry sky before speaking.
"I never talked to anyone about my personal life except for Jihoon... I was scared to tell anyone why because I didnt want anyone to pity me. Jongin was my world! my eveything... the person I wanted to be with for the rest of my life. I thought that our relationship was going well that nothing bad would happen, but I didnt know he was cheating on me... And on our wedding day he left me at the altar..." I looked at her with furrowed brows (he left her?!?) She heaved a heavy sigh before continuing "- I-I have PCOS also known as PolyCystic Ovary Syndrome... meaning im infertile, I have a low chance of getting pregnant. Because of that, he left me... saying that he couldnt start a family with someone who cant even conceive. I was crushed by his words and was left broken.. After that I isolated myself from others... I didnt want to get too close or too attached to someone because I was scared to ever fall in love again."

When she was done telling me her story I was left speechless. I obviously didnt know about this because we just met recently. "I-Im so sorry" She looked at me but she had a smile on her face "Its alright, It feels nice to talk about this with someone other than Jihoon... now since I told you that... tell me something about you?" she asked. I nodded and decided to tell her about Minji... "Taewoos mother... Minji. She was everything I ever looked for in a girl. She was basically my first love and I loved her with all my heart. One thing led to another and she got pregnant... it was definitely not planned but we still went through with it. The pregnancy went well but what I didnt know was that she was seeing another guy during that time.... After she gave birth to Taewoo she just left. Disappeared without telling me where she was going. All she told me was that she wasnt ready to be a mom and confessing that she was seeing someone else. I was still young at that time and I thought that we would go through this together but I was wrong... oh so wrong. Everything from there went downhill.. I had constant breakdowns and I didnt know what to do. My head was filled with only Minji...-" Pausing for a moment I glanced at Y/n while continuing "- but.. I think its safe to say that recently I've been starting to move on from what happened.. slowly.."
Once I finished I looked over at her, she stayed quiet while still looking up at the sky but as usual she still held a smile on her face. (What is she thinking??) I wondered. It looked as if she was deep in though about something... "Are you alright??" I suddenly asked. Glancing over at me she nodded "Im just thinking about how we both went through so much in the past... and seeing how much we had to overcome to be here" "yeah..." I cleared my throat after and stood up "Its getting rather late..." She got up from the bench as well and agreed. She then bowed and soon locked eyes with me before smiling "Thank you for tonight Jungkook. I had a lot of fun, I'll see you tomorrow" she turned on the heels of her shoes and began to walk.
Smiling as I watched her walk away I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, taking it out I opened text message Hoseok hyung sent me.
(Bring her back home???) Realizing what he meant I put my phone away and ran after Y/n, finally catching up to her I reached out and grabbed her hand stopping her. "Jungkoo-" "L-Let me drive you home...."
"Thank you for the ride Jungkook" "Thank you for having dinner with me..." I shyly commented. She stepped out of the car and waved goodbye to me and I watched as she entered her apartment building disappearing from my sight. Putting the gear in drive I went back home. Arriving home I got out of the car and walked up to the door unlocking it and opening it slowly in case everyone was sleeping. "Hey the manknae is home!" A voice exclaimed, taking my shoes off I walked into the living room to see all my hyungs sitting around watching tv while. "Dont worry Taewoo is sleeping" Hobi hyung commented before turning his attention back to the screen.
"So how did the date go??" Taehyung popped the question making everyone turn their head towards me. I smiled once remembering how much fun I had with Y/n. "I-It was good" I replied walking over to them."OoooOoooOooo it sounds like the maknae really hit it off with his date! Is she pretty!?" Jimin questioned. I nodded showing my signature bunny smile "shes... beautiful..." I sighed while shyly rubbing the back of my neck.
"We had dinner and after we went to the park and talked... I told her about Minji as well" low gasps came from everyones mouths. "You told her?! w-what did she say?" "She was so understanding about it hyung... I dont know why but when im with her I just feel so comfortable and I dont know what this feeling is but my chest feels tight when I see her. I have this urge to just want to protect her all the time... and I just, I-I dont know why but I just want to see her smile!" I confessed while plopping down onto the couch beside Yoongi. Closing my eyes all I could think about was her.... How beautiful she looked tonight, and how her smile just somehow made my night. "I want to see her again...." I whispered to myself but didnt realize that everyone overheard me.
Everyones eyes widening at the words that left his mouth I looked over at the others and saw them smiling at the maknae. Its been long since we've seen him this happy before... no fake or forced smiles. The smile he showed us tonight was pure and seemed genuine. It got me thinking about how much hes been through in the past when Minji left him and Taewoo... Honestly if he didnt meet this girl Y/n I dont think he would be smiling the way he is right now. (Hes in love....) I thought with a big smile on my face. I dont think Jungkook realizes that he loves her but maybe with more time...
....something will blossom between the two.

Children of Danu, People of Skill Book 1. (LitRPG/Gamelit)
Hi all, this is my first attempt at fiction ever. I'm sure it's awful, first attempts at new things usually are. Hopefully you can find something you like in it. I had a great deal of fun writing it. It's a basic Litrpg/Game, God sends you to a new world to do their bidding plot. I Know I did too much telling and not enough showing. I'm working on that. The underlying system is one haven't seen or done much. a full Point Buy system, like Gurps, Champions or the Hero system. After writing it a while, I see why folks don't do it. The record keeping is tedious. And once you start doing math in subsequent chapters, you can't go back and add more action, just because you dread redoing all the math. I've got about 80k words written in two "books" on the novel so far. I'm going to edit chapters and try to drop a couple a week till it's finished. Hopefully that will work for folks. I need to punch up the amount of action. I'll be working on that as well. Thanks, Cal-P.S> The cover art is one of the two CIrce Paintings By Waterhouse.
