Katsuki's pov

"Here she is, your baby girl! She's healthy and very beautiful!"

The midwife merrily handed our newborn daughter over to me after having dried her off, wrapped a towel around her and put a beanie on her head.

Suddenly, I'd just forgotten all about the pain.

Looking at her for the first time while holding her in my arms, I felt how the tears welled up in my eyes. Of course I couldn't hold them back, so I simply let them stream down my cheeks as I watched my daughter with the warmest smile that'd ever taken place on my lips.

"She's so lovely..!" I sobbed as I gestured for Shōto to come closer.

I closed the distance between our lips for a short moment before handing our daughter over to him.

He carefully held her in his arms, and for the second time, I got to see tears escaping his eyes.

"She really is..! She's absolutely perfect!"

A wide smile widened across his lips as he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"What should we name her? I think you might just already have a suggestion judging by the look on your face."

I could clearly see that he already had a name in mind.

"...Akatsuki." (Akatsuki means "dawn")

Akatsuki was a great name and it fit her perfectly, but..

"Doesn't that sound a bit too much like Katsuki though..?"

Shōto shook his head, disagreeing.

"It fits right in. Mitsuki, Katsuki and Akatsuki. Plus, I think her hair colour is that of a dawn. I managed to catch a glimpse of her hair before they put her beanie on."

He wasn't exactly right... Her hair was more crimson, but if I separated "Aka" and "Tsuki" it would make the word "red moon", so the name Akatsuki would work nevertheless. We'd just have to fight about the spelling later.

"Welcome to the family, Akatsuki..!"

~Eight months later~

Katsuki's POV:

"Akatsuki! Don't run away!"

I reached my hands out to pick our almost one year old up as she'd started running a week or so ago. Because of that, we couldn't even let her out of our sight for a minute as she was such a troublemaker already.

Something that had been on both my and Shōto's minds a lot was the fact that she learned way too quickly. She could run and say a few words at the age of eight months. Not only that though. We could already tell that she was an alpha. Normally, kids would show signs in their early teens. Some unlucky ones would show signs even earlier, but never younger than three years old. Sure, Shōto was apparently declared an alpha at the age of five, but I wasn't declared omega until I was 16. I was a pretty late bloomer, especially for being an omega.

Anyway, we had taken her to the doctor, who despite his shock could with certainty declare her an alpha. As parents we were both worried about why she was showing such strong signs so early. She wasn't even a year old...

"Akatsuki, mama and papa loves you the most!"

I gently wrapped my arms around my daughter.

"Mama! Luv!"

Suddenly she seemed to have realised something.

"Papa...? Papa? Papaaa!"

I noticed she was getting pretty worked up as Shōto wasn't home from work yet. She was definitely a daddy's girl.

"It's okay, honey. Papa will be back soon, but mama will have to do for now."

She clung to me with a somewhat unhappy expression on her face, her crimson eyes watering up a little.

"Mama..." She quietly whined as she wrapped her tiny arms around my neck.

She was too cute, always melting her parents' hearts like this!

"Why do you have to be so damn adorable?"

I was glad the past months had went by peacefully. With my dramatic ass life, you never knew what would happen and that scared the shit out of me. I was so afraid of any harm coming to Akatsuki because of me.

"Mama will protect you at any cost so you'll be able to live a great life with a safe upbringing, unlike me. I want you to be happy."

For some reason, my eyes started to tear up.

I no longer cared about my own safety; as long as Akatsuki, Shōto and mom were safe, I'd be fine.

Suddenly I started to miss Shōto a lot too, just like Akatsuki. I wanted to tell him I loved him and hug the living shit out of him. I'd become so clingy, huh?

"Shōto..." I impatiently whined.

"What is it, baby?"

Shōto's POV:

Katsuki was quick to turn around.

"When did you get home?!"

I'd simply sneaked in hoping to be able to surprise them, but I didn't expect to hear Katsuki call out my name like that.

"Just recently. Did you miss me that much? Call out my name again~"

A blush took shape on his cheeks as I teased him.

"No way, dumbass!"

With a chuckle, I leaned in and placed a kiss on his lips, then one on Akatsuki's forehead.

"I'm home."

Katsuki shyly averted his gaze.

"W- Welcome.. home..."

He was too adorable! I couldn't take it even though he did that every time I said "I'm home".

"Papa!" Akatsuki merrily exclaimed.

Katsuki handed her over to me with a smile on his lips.

"She's yours to handle now. I'll go take a shower."

He did right in doing that, as taking care of a child wasn't an easy task by far. Neither of us had expected parenting to be as hard as it was, but I did believe we were doing a pretty good job nevertheless.

Katsuki closed the distance between us and closed in on my ear.

"My heat will begin sometime today or tomorrow. I think you'll have to take a few days off to help me." He suggestively whispered before walking away to take his shower.

I bit my lower lip, trying to prevent myself from grinning before pulling my phone up, calling Midoriya.

"Hello, Todoroki-san?"

"Hi. I'm taking four days off. Katsuki is in heat and I have to help out with Akatsuki."

Midoriya sighed.

"Alright. Say hi to Kacchan from me and tell him to get better soon."

"Will do!"

With that I hung up and slid my phone back into my pocket.

"Papa is in a very good mood today, Aka-chan!" (Aka-chan is Akatsuki's nickname.)

I lifted her up in the air, making her laugh.

"How about we make some dinner so that mama can relax today?"

With that I made my way to the kitchen with Akatsuki in my arms.

Once there, I let her down so that I could start cooking, but I'd still keep an eye on her in the meantime.

"What should I cook..? I'm not very good at cooking..."

Suddenly, I got a text, so I picked my phone up again.

❤️: Don't u dare start cooking! I don't want the house to burn down. Also, I don't want to get poisoned.

I sighed as I read Katsuki's message.

How mean~ Was I really that awful at it? I guess I had no choice but to let Katsuki do it.

Sulking, I sat down next to Akatsuki, picked her up and placed her on my lap.

"Mama is mean, Aka-chan. He's so mean."

She observed my expression and wrapped her arms around my neck.

"Papa..."

She was so cute!

I ran my fingers through her silky, peach coloured hair.

"I love you so much, Akatsuki."

I wanted her to stay small forever! Time went by too quickly; I'd finally understood that, being a parent and all.

"You'll be an adult before I know it!"

I couldn't believe that I already wanted another baby. There was no way Katsuki would agree to have another one so soon as we had our hands full as it was, but Akatsuki was so cute, so how could I not want a second one?
