Katsuki's POV:
Yawning loudly with the frying pan in my hand, I suddenly felt a pair of strong arms wrap around my waist.
"Morning, honey."
I heard the familiar voice of my mate from behind me.
"Mornin'. You're up quite early today? Even though it's your day off.."
He nuzzled his face into my neck, placing a soft kiss there.
"I woke up and noticed you weren't there, so I wasn't able to sleep. Also, I wanna spend as much time as I can with you today."
I chuckled and turned the omelette over.
Three weeks had passed since I moved in with Shōto.
We still kept my stay a secret from everyone except my mom and Shōto's older sister.
I wasn't nearly as awkward around Shōto as I was before. We lived just like any other couple.
I hadn't seen my mom's face even once during the past three weeks.
We had spoken a few times over the phone though, so I knew she was alright.
Feeling his head lean on my shoulder, a tender smile spread across my face. The sensation of Shōto's lips tracing their way up my neck had my knees weaken underneath me.
The fragrance of his cologne was stronger than usual.
"This cologne really fits you, Shōto."
His movements paused, and he lifted his head.
"I sprayed a little on yesterday for the meeting. I've taken a shower since then though?"
I moved the frying pan away from the stove and turned around.
"No way. It's too strong to be from yesterday. Am I goin' insane or something? Man.."
Rubbing my temples, I narrowed my eyes.
"Why don't you google it?" Shōto suggested.
Judging by the fleer on his face, he clearly mocked me.
Normally I'd just playfully hit him while trying to defend my words, but now I just faced him with a blank expression.
"Wow , you're such a genius. Never heard of a better solution."
The obvious irony in my voice came out stronger than I'd intended it to. I knew he had a good point in what he was saying though. It was actually a good idea to google it, since it didn't feel like anything I would have to go to the hospital for.

"Never mind, I think you're right. Imma google it, but first breakfast."
I stood up on my tippy-toes so that I'd be able to reach up to his face, leaving a quick kiss on his lips before turning my attention back to the omelette.
"Can you do me a favour and pick out two plates from the dishwasher, babe?"
I spoke with my back against him again, but even so I could imagine his grin from behind me.
"Of course honey."
He leaned down to my nape and brushed his lips over the deep scar left from his bite three weeks ago.
It was a scar that would never be able to fade, no matter how long time would pass.
He was proud over it; I knew that. The way he kissed it showed me he had no regrets or plans of throwing me away. He just seemed to treasure me with all his heart.
He removed his hands from my hips, walking off to grab the plates like I had asked him to.
I had learned about his kindness during the time we spent together.
How he just couldn't help but to worry about leaving me alone in the house while he was at work. He never missed out on paying me attention, no matter if it was early in the morning when going to work, or late in the evening when he got home. I was really happy, and nonetheless lucky, having him as my Alpha.
Splitting the omelette in half, I moved the pieces onto the plates as he returned with them.
I flashed him a grateful smile and quickly thanked him before putting the plates down at the smaller table inside the kitchen, feeling no need to have breakfast at the dining table.
"Do you want some tea, Katsuki?"
He asked using a soft, casual voice.
Even small details like the way he called my name, made my heartbeat pick up a quicker pace.
I tuned around to face him, my eyes settling on his slender body slightly angled towards me from profile.
His torso was exposed as he wore an unbuttoned cardigan. His muscles were well defined, yet slightly toned and hard as rocks, which I knew through experience.

"Holy sh-- I mean, yes thank you!"
I directed him an awkward smile, a loud gulp not making things easier for me.
He chuckled as he'd easily figured out exactly what I was being so awkward about and turned his attention back to making us tea.
My face was was burning up due to embarrassment while my mind kept going in a different direction, wanting to arouse him.
Once by the table, eating, I noticed him glancing at me with his eyes narrowed.
"What's wrong Shōto?"
My voice was tender, hinting at some kind of concern.
Why did he look at me like that? He seemed rather suspicious for some reason.
"Your scent, it has somehow changed since a few days ago. Can't really tell how, but something about it is strange. I've been telling myself it's only my imagination, but I'm really starting to get convinced about the fact that something's not right."
My lips slightly parted into a gasp, confused by his sudden confession. Lacking the words to reply, I blinked a couple of times.
He opened his mouth to speak, breaking the silence.
"I just want you to know you can always tell me if anything is wrong."
His voice was gentle and his expression sincere. I looked at him in confusion, yet I was flattered.
"'Course. I don't know what's going on myself, but I've also noticed some strange stuff with my body lately... It's.. changing. I've been feeling sick quite often and suddenly everything has a stronger scent as well. I can feel it."
He was silent for a while, probably lost in thought.
The concerned look on his face told me exactly what was going on inside his head, for once.
"You don't think..? It's not entirely impossible..."
His eyes was wide as he slowly moved his hand up to brush his hair back.
"What do you mean?"
My voice was shaking a bit watching him react that way. He normally kept his cool in all situations, but suddenly he looked rather shocked.
"During the mating.. It's extremely rare, but maybe you..."
Listening to his words, it hit me.
Don't tell me I was.. pregnant..?
"No way.. I- What should we do?"
"Take a test. I've got one or two upstairs." He paused as I looked at him with a suspicious glint. "Don't look at me like that. It's just in case something like this was to happen."
I couldn't help but to let a laughter slip past my lips. Shortly after Shōto also joined me in laughing at his awkwardness from earlier.
"Katsuki. We're going to work it out if it turns out that way."
He stood up from the chair and walked towards me with determined steps, crouching down before me.
Grabbing my hand, he gently stoked the back of it.
"I love you."
His gaze met mine and I exhaled in relief.
"Yeah, I'll go take the test after I've cleaned up here. Love you too."
I gently placed a kiss on his forehead, squeezing my eyes shut in nervousness before rising my head again.
"Leave the cleaning to me. Good luck, honey. Remember; whatever the result, we'll get through it."
His soothing words had my confidence grow a little.
He stood back up and grabbed my empty plate, giving me a supportive smile before I got up and walked towards the stairs.
Once up, the bathroom was just a few meters away. I nervously fiddled with the hem of my shirt as I slowly approached the door.
I clenched my fists and grabbed the handle, pushing it down.
Inside the bathroom was a cabinet that instantly caught my eye. Knowing Shōto, he'd definitely put the tests in there.
I closed in on it and opened the cabinet to see exactly what I expected, two pregnancy tests laying around.
Grabbing the closest one to me, I made my way to the toilet where the test would be taken.
"Okay Katsuki, you can do this..!"
I hesitantly followed the instructions written on the packet.
Not even a minute later, I sat staring at the test. My sight was blurry, but I tried my best to focus on the results.
Just a little more focus, and I'll be able to see the test result! Come on!
