The outskirts of the gym are filled with Volcanic dust, the ground feels very hot to step on, and the environment is hard and rough with no moisture in the atmosphere.

Absolute no humidity- that means water-type moves are weakened while fire-type moves are strengthened. As expected the gym leader doesn't make any effort to hide his terrain advantages.

All gym leaders improved their respective terrain up to their convenience. That's what makes gym leaders so tough to beat.

Despite having a disadvantage Kenta has decided to challenge the gym leader. the Cinnabar Gym is located in a chamber inside the Cinnabar Volcano, which is accessed from a secret entrance located next to a hot spring at Blaine's "Big Riddle Inn" and has a battlefield suspended over the lava.

Kenta was trying to locate the Gym so he could challenge the Cinnabar Gym Leader to a battle. He was informed by a man who liked telling riddles that the Gym was abandoned when Cinnabar Island became a tourist trap. However, Kenta eventually revealed that the Gym Leader, Blaine, had built another Gym in a secret location, and later gave him a hint of its location through a riddle. The riddles were basic puzzles for schoolkids and Kenta has already finished a lot of puzzles in his free time when he was a kid. So solving the riddles is not a huge task for him.

After accidentally discovering the Gym's secret entrance at the riddler's inn, Kenta entered the Gym

As he opened the gym door of the Cinnabar gym to be greeted by Blaine, the riddle-telling man himself, who revealed himself to have been Blaine in disguise all along.

"Yeah! We already knew it was you who had been the riddle man all along " Erika said.

"Impossible! How did you see through my perfect disguise? " Blaine questioned.

"Everyone knows how you like giving riddles to challengers so much, Blaine. There is no secret he found you so quickly. But I can't help but wonder how Kenta knew where your gym is and how you built it " Erika stated.

"I got this info from an information broker " Kenta lied.

"Can you name him? " Erika asked Kenta.

"No " Kenta replied to Erika

"Challenger Kenta, tell me... who are you about to battle?!" Blaine asked him ignoring their conversation.

"Yes, can we begin " Kenta replied?

Within a few minutes, a referee has arrived at the scene and the official gym battle has begun.

"Go Nine tails " Blaine threw his pokeball summouning Ninetails.

"Go Rhyhorn " Kenta threw a safari ball revealing Rhyhorn.

"[Yo baby want to have a good time with me] " Rhyhorn replied to Ninetails.

"[Creepy]" Blaine's ninetails said

"Nine tails use firespin " Blaine commanded.

"Rhyhorn there is a lot of volcanic dust here, so use bulldoze to take the dust along with you " Kenta told Rhyhorn.

Rhyhorn used bulldoze evading from the firespin through sheerspeed and collided with Nine tails knocking Nine tails who fell into the lava losing her balance.

"[Ring out finish- one point to Rhyhorn] " Pikachu commented thinking it was just a battle from beyblade burst.

"I don't think the match is over yet.....Fire pokemon are immune to Volacon's heat. So wait for Ninetails to arrive Rhyhorn" Kenta said.

"[Yeah and we will have good time~Having fun~] " Rhyhorn said.

"[Dude is really thirsty] " Pikachu replied.

Soon the volcano erupted, with it Ninetails rose from the volcano and jumped into the battle arena, and glared at Rhyhorn.

Rhyhorn glared back, with no intent to back off. Soon a fiery, staring contest begun between the two pokemon.

"Ninetails use Extrasensoary " Blaine said. Ninetails used Extrasensoary and lifted Rhyhorn in the air using psychic attack.

Rhyhorn struggled to break free from the psychic move untill

"Tough luck, Rhyhorn use rock blast " Kenta has decided to use rock blast.

First rock missed Ninetails, Second rock barely managed to graze the Ninetails, Third rock hit ninetailes in the critcal spot, Fourth rock hit rapidly damaging the ninetails who is in deep pain. Ninetails struggled for a while trying to relieve her pain.

"Rhyhorn finish this with a stone edge " Kenta said.

Rhyhorn summoned several stones floating towards ninetails continuously hitting the struggling ninetails stone by stone in her critical deeply breaking every bone within Ninetails body. The battle arena is filled with sheer brutality. It is hard for Blaine to digest seeing his pokemon in such a state

Erika closed her mouth of the sheer brutality of the battle. She couldn't bare to see the brutality people will go to lengths to just to prove their superiority towards others.

"Stop she had enough " Erika muttered with a naive soft tone.

"I decide when she has enough " Kenta responded to her weak tone.

"Anyone with a soft mind is seen as weak and naive to me...I don't want to repeat the same mistake of showing mercy again. " Kenta instinctively responded.

"Strike first.

Strike hard, and

No mercy " Kenta said.

Blaine has started to take Kenta seriously now, as he realized that Kenta is not the ordinary trainer he is facing right now. So he has to fight using whatever he has right now or else he would lose.

"Are you going to continue or withdraw your pokemon...Looks like it is in so much pain right now " Kenta taunted Blaine, which seems to have affected Blaine psychologically.

"Ninetails withdraw " Blaine took the tough decision to save his pokemon from further harm. As much competitive and strong trainer he is. He doesn't want to abuse his pokemon too much in the pokemon battles.

His old heart has weakened his resolve to be tough and cold. He can't help but feel sorry for Ninetails so he has withdrawn it.

"Ninetails can't battle. The winner is Kenta Kiyoshi and his rhyhorn...

Ready for the next round " The referee announced.

"Go Rhydon " Blaine used Rhydon as his next pokemon.

"Go Primape " Kenta said calling Primeape

"[It's as easy as breaking rocks during karate. I will rip him apart. NO mercy ]" Primeape said as he lunged towards Rhydon.
