"So why a 3 on 3 battle. Can't we battle using more pokemon " Kenta asked wanting to know why Erika is using less pokemon.

Well, It's not an issue she is using less pokemon when compared to anime. But Kenta wanted to know why she did. Kenta always wanted to gather information and he will deal with it accordingly. There is no such thing as useless information to him unless the information is illogical or irrational.

"The amount of pokemon I use for a gym battle is totally random. "Erika sighed.

She is clearly too tired from working and isn't in any mood for answering any questions. But Kenta intrigued Erika. So she pushes herself and pays at most attention in her current battle and she is finding any proof to prove her theory that Kenta is indeed the mysterious man who defeated the team rocket grunts.

Kenta sighed.

"Okay let's continue to our battle "Kenta exclaimed

"I am ready, "Kenta told the referee

"I am ready," Erika told the referee

"Go Tangela " Erika sent out a Pokeball revealing a Tangela

"Go Pidgeotto," Kenta said throwing out a Pokeball and the Pokeball opens up revealing a strong pidgeotto who is nicely groomed and tough.

The pidgeotto is giving a strong queen vibe. Which attracted Erika's eye and she is impressed by how regal-looking the pidgeotto is

"How wonderful, your pidgeotto has the same grace as you. You have nicely groomed it. "Erika said

"[I don't care. Just fight. I wanted to relieve some frustration by sitting in the same place every day. ]"Pidgeotto replied in disdain overstaying the Pokeball for too long

A/N: I think we can experience the same pain pidgeotto . Due to work from home conditions for over a year. And it's frustrating.

"[ERIKA YOU ARE MY TRAINER. And why is that bird is l-looking at me like I am sort of bug ]" Tangela said confused about what's happening here.

"[Racist]"Beedrill replied offended by the statement from Tangela

Kenta sent someone pokemon like Mankey to professor oak , while he got Beedrill Out just in case this battle doesn't go as he planned. So he planned to delay the battle by using beedrill as Beedrill has bug-poison advantage over grass types. And sleep powder is underrated and useful even if stun and poison powders don't work.

He let Beedrill out for a bit so it can experience some battle moves and so Beedrill can adjust himself for a quick stall if Beedrill can't fight for so long.

Even if Beedrill is not useful for battles. It can still be useful in battles for its stalling and status moves like powders and spores and staus moves are op the more the time goes on.

In a pokemon battle, you have to be prepared for every outcome that can occur. And cover your weakness. There is no such thing as weak pokemon, Even pokemon has its own role if it's trained well.

Sometimes even sledging and mind games are necessary for pokemon battles

"Thank you but can we please focus on the battle, "Kenta told her wanting to avoid her diversion tactic

"If only we can allow boys in this gym. You can easily stay inside our gym. Doesn't staying in the gym with full of girls excite you "Erika said with a playful smile on her face.

Kenta knows what she is doing. So he gathered his focus on the battle and said.

"No I would rather not stay with some feminists,"Kenta replied using Erika's own tactics against her.

"N-No we aren't f-feminists It's just a tradition in a gym. We aren't feminists I swear "Erika stuttered surprised with his words.She never expected someone to actually say that

"You want me to believe a gym with full of girls is anything but feminists. Get yourself some brain cells in the feministic brain of yours "Kenta said further irritating Erika

Erika is now furious at someone calling her gym feminist and she took 'feministic brain 'as an insult to her. She couldn't tolerate the insults towards her gym

"YOU.I will show you how good is this gym when I defeat you " Erika blurted out some angry words in rage.

"[Ironic sledging . Australian cricket team would be so proud especially Ricky pointing ]"Pikachu replied with a sly grin.

It seems like Pikachu released himself out of the Pokeball and chilling in the gym with coco cola

"Tangela show him what we are capable of. Bind that Pidgeotto with your vine whips. Bind " Erika Replied to Tangela

"[All you could have said is to use bind. Why humans use such complex statements is beyond my understanding ]"Tangela said

"Pidgeotto use agility " Kenta commanded Pidgeotto

Pidgeotto Dodged using agility to be fast and escaped from Tangela's vines . Once again agility is good in dodging times

"[Very good . Now all you have to do is to teach Gohan to how actually dodge from attacks]"Pikachu replied while Preparing a sleeping bed to sleep on it.

"[Good thing she dodged it or else some freak would use rule 34 on it ]" Pikachu replied with a horrific face and slept.

"Pidgeotto use Wing attack " Kenta commanded pidgeotto

PIdgeotto flew fast and struck Tangela with her wings dealing huge damage against Tangela.

"Ergh Tangela try to bind pidgeotto " Erika replied in frustration

Little did erika know .That she is slowly falling into Kenta's plan to her downfall .

Tangela tried to caught pidgeotto several times but luckily Tangela managed to catch Pidepttp after several tries.

"Good Tangela, Now defeat it and show him what we are capable of, "Erika said with pride

"Now since your pidgeotto doesn't have any long-ranged attack. How will you manage to win? Announce your defeat already " Erika said with a prideful smile

"[I don't like the smile of this arrogant bitch ]"Pidgeotto said with a fierce grin.

But little did Erika know

"Pidgeotto use hyper beam " Kenta commanded with a monotone expression

"W-What," Erika said in reply

Before Erika could compose herself and get her grip and could command Tangela.

Pigeotto unleashed the hyper beam with her mouth and hits the Tangela who is unable to escape in time.Due to unable to dodge in proper time

The beam hit Tangela and it turned into a small explosion which created some smoke

After some time the smoke cleared out to reveal Tangela has indeed fainted by the hyper beam

"Tangela has fainted . Pidgeotto wins the match . Kenta Kiyoshi has defeated the first pokemon of Erika " The referee announced the match results.

"How " Erika muttered

"'Tm's .Do you know that they exist in shops and can be used to teach new moves to pokemon ? And hyper beam, despite Pidgeotto not having a lot of special attack, still has a huge total power of 225 with a stab bonus.It's like a focus punch for fighting type.Imagine Pidgeotto learning Giga impact "Kenta Explained the details

"Too many details . But I am aware of the existence of TMs but I don't prefer to use them as I don't use anything so artificial on pokemon.I only use the items that mother nature has produced " Erika declared to Kenta

"I don't care about the choices of the way you battle. But remember not everyone will battle the way you will . You should be prepared to fight with all kinds of trainers if you want to become a proper gym leader " Kenta said to Erika

"Hmph! You are telling me how to become a gym leader when I am already one. Just because you have one round doesn't mean you won the match. I still have my stronger pokemon left " Erika sighed.

"Well . Well, Knowledge is knowledge, and don't blame me if you didn't win. Fine, then I will do what I came for here. I will defeat you and take the badge from you " Kenta declared to Erika

"Confident and arrogant. You are somewhat attractive and charming in the way you behave but don't think for a second I will go easy on you " Erika told Kenta

"I might have lost my grip on the first battle due to My lack of control over the situation but this time I will be prepared to defeat you with everything I have " Erika declared to Kenta

Soon, Erika found new determination over herself as completely ignored herself and began focusing on only battle . It's the time she has entered into adrelaine mode and she completely lost any grace she had and turned into her battle mode.

Who can blame her it's been a while she had been into a great and interesting battle. After all she had never faced such opponents like Kenta who focused on sheer domination.

Erika deduced that Kenta wanted to have complete domination over her opponents.So the thing he tries to do is to clean sweep her pokemon.

So Erika as a result thought to use his confidence against him. She will prove to him that she herself is not a pushover.

It's a battle that is the honor of the gym . She doesn't want someone to insult her gym that her family has huge pride in her being Celadon gym leader.

gym Leader did huge work to maintain a gym. So naturally, Erika will get irrated when someone belittles her gym.

Well, only the battle will tell how the outcomes go off.
