So less ppl read this book but it's okay bc I love this book anyways

The recording of the scene has been a success and everyone was praising the two actors for their magnificent work which made Taehyung smile brightly from happiness and Jungkook to bow at them before getting ready for the second scene of the day they had to shoot together.

They had yet to met the villain's actor and shoot individual beginning scenes, but this was only the first day of shooting and they were ecstatic. Even the other's presence could not halt their motivation to perform good and make the film director proud. Both hoped to shoot the next scene as a One Take.

Chris was at set too, now talking to Taehyung and praising him who smiled shyly up to him. Jimin has also sent him a message, telling him he was going to play a role in the movie too, what a surprise and Taehyung felt euphoric to play by his friend's side again. Everything could've been just perfect except for the presence of a certain dark-haired man who received just the comments Taehyung has been craving to receive.

But this was his life living in Jeon Jungkook's shadow, used to it by now, so he shot anyone praising him for his astonishing beauty a friendly smile, cursing Jungkook in his head because the man received praises over his handsome features and fit body, making the man smirk before shooting Taehyung a wink.

Once the break was over, Taehyung was called back on set, biding his goodbyes to Chris and making his way back over to Jungkook. They did not speak, Taehyung because he didn't want to and Jungkook because he wanted to be professional for once. He liked the movie, even though he didn't like the script's author. If he was honest with himself, he was a sucker for romantic movies and the fact that his arch nemesis/ secret crush was one of the main leads next to him, didn't really help his professional act.

But this was his life living in the presence of the most beautiful man he knew, loving him secretly while Taehyung hated him and he was used to it by now. Jungkook wanted to be mature for once. But upon seeing the defiant look in Taehyung's eyes when they got ready for the scene, the hot-tempered man couldn't control himself.

"Hey Babe... ready to fall into my arms like always?", Jungkook could kick his own ass for being so inconsistent with his promises but something about Taehyung always managed to rile him up. And Jungkook didn't mean his ass this time, thank you.

"You're an asshole, Jeon, I don't see what Korea sees in you", Taehyung bit back annoyed, but wrapped his arms around Jungkook as this was the needed position for the scene. Curse the script writers for doing this to him, really!

He didn't dare to flinch back, needed to hold his ground when Jungkook leaned forward to him. Laying his large hands on Taehyung's hips and pulling the male close until they were pressed together so tightly, not even a sheet of paper could fit in between them. Jungkook's hands wandered downwards until they were pressed right above Taehyung's plump butt. Oh, how much Jungkook wanted to explore that glorious ass and call him a needy little shit, but(t) it was the truth.

"Well, I see myself in you soon, Babyboy", Jungkook cursed himself, once more, in his head for speaking faster than his brain could process and everything inside of him screamed 'NO!', after he made that comment, nearly seeing how the curtains in front of Taehyung's eyes, in front of his soul, turned into steel as well as the look on his face.

"You will never, ever be this close to me. First my reputation, then my dignity?! Fuck you, Jungkook. Seriously fuck you", Taehyung spat, ripping Jungkook's hands away from his body and turning away. "I need a break", he told the film director before storming away, not even waiting for an answer.

Jungkook stared after him with hurt in his eyes before sighing loudly, leaning his head back and closing his eyes. A tear ran down his cheek and he quickly wiped it away. He fucked up, again. And still, he wondered what he did to make Taehyung hate him so badly.

Taehyung stormed to his own private trailer, wiping his eyes furiously, staring angrily down at the gorgeous makeup he has now removed with his fingertips. He hated it, hated how much he loved wearing makeup, to feel pretty. He was raised to be the man, to be manly, to be handsome. Yet this role has been striped away from him by a certain dark-haired male, reduced to the gorgeous sidekick by his side and Taehyung hated it.

Taehyung always had to work for what he had, he had to convince, work even harder than the rest and when he believed he did it, when he believed to have success and people finally listening to him and seeing him, Jungkook has come and swept everyone off their feet. It has always been easy for Jungkook, from the first moment on, and the rookie actor has been faking his kind facade before exposing his arrogant behavior.

He was a brat, but now Korea's favorite golden boy.

"Even though I hate you for stealing the spotlight... why can't I stop my heart from beating for you?", Taehyung whispered to himself, staring at his reflection in the mirror. He remembered the movie 'Mirror World' where he has been playing the role of both, the protagonist and his reflection. He felt like the reflection he saw in himself, was the version he so desperately desired to be. But he was himself, he was Kim Taehyung. He was soft, feminine and beautiful. The movie has taught him to accept his very own flaws that he hated so much.

Has he forgotten everything this movie taught him? That the outside showed nothing what was going on inside? Pretend, fake it until you make it, these have been Taehyung's motto for so long. He tried so hard to be a version of himself, that was locked away in the prison behind the mirror. It was not him, it was a different Taehyung staring right back at him.

By the desperate wish to become like Jungkook, Taehyung has forgotten about his original, so focused on pretending to be someone he wasn't that he forgot who he really was. "Who am I? Am I just the face of a pretty being? Korea's beauty?", Taehyung asked his reflection but of course, received no answer.

He had to find the answer in himself.

"Or am I just reflecting my insecurities on you?", the caramel-haired male asked, sudden sadness visible in his eyes. "I tried so hard to be like you, like I expected myself to be... only to realize, no one else is expecting me to be this way. They love me for being different, for being me. But I was so blinded by the wrong picture of me that I had in my mind... I forgot who I am", Taehyung whispered, recalling the first moment he and Jungkook met.

God, he has been a prick to the younger who has been so excited to meet his favorite idol that Taehyung forgot himself. Of course Jungkook was going to be rude to him too.

"I'm more than the picture I was forced to fulfill. And more than the pretty features", Taehyung spoke determined, staring at his reflection.

"And I will show everyone who Kim Taehyung really is."

A little inside of Taehyung's thoughts, I hope it wasn't too confusing :3 tell me your thoughts
