Subaru's POV-
- Okay, I guess it's time to part ways. I will take Shuna with me so that she can meet the Ogre chief and also I will show her how happily the Ogres are living here. While, you can show Rimuru around the city.
- Okay.
Hanma-san said as wee were walking towards the shop area to take Shuna to eat something.
- Good Morning, Subaru-san!
A passing orc said slightly bowing with a smile.
- Good Morning.
I said smiling as the Orc stood up.
- Subaru-san, my kid and his friends always talk about you that Subaru-san plays with them and they have a lot of fun with you. I wanted to thank you for taking your time and playing with my kid and his friends.
The Orc said while smiling.
- It's not a big thing. I also had fun playing with them.
I said as I rubbed the back of my neck with my right hand.
- Still, a captain has many duties and they had disturbed you during your work.
"I don't even have any work to do. I was just walking around that day as I had nothing to do and then they called me to play. So, I played with them and I really had fun... Sometimes, I think I am a captain just in name. I guess I should ask Hanma-san later of any jobs that he has for me."
I thought while thinking of where to find Hanma-san.
- Subaru-san?
The Orc said as he saw me thinking about something.
The Orc then looked at Shuna and me holding hands and said.
- Ah! I must have disturbed you two.
- No, of course not. I was just showing her around the city.
- Okay, I guess I should take my leave.
The Orc said as he left and I waved him bye.
I looked at Shuna-san who was smiling at me. I holded her hand and walked around the city to find the shop.
While walking to find a food shop, many orcs and ogres greeted me. During my free time, I used to walk around the city to bond with the citizens living here. I guess I have a lot of free time because nearly everyone that I had met while walking greeted me.
- Subaru-san, all of the people seems to like you a lot.
Shuna said as we were walking to find a place to eat.
- Of course! They like me a lot as they know that I will protect them and this city with my life!
I said bragging about it.
- I am happy that you are the protector of this city.

Shuna slightly chuckled and said.
Seeing her chuckling, I slightly blushed.
"She looks so cute.."
I thought while being lost in her cuteness.
We entered a cafe which was runned by kijins.
I was lost staring at Shuna-san's face when a female kijin wearing a maid outfit welcomed us. I broke out of staring at her and looked around the cafe. It looked quite good for a fantasy world. They recognized me as a captain of this nation so they gave us a special place.
We sat on our seats and I looked outside to see orcs and some kijins walking at times.
- Shuna-san, would you like to eat anything special?
I asked very politely.
- Anything that you would eat.
She said as she smile.
"She looks like a true angel when smiling. No, even more than an angel!"
- Subaru-san?
I didn't realize that I was staring at her again and broke the stare.
- Ah, sorry.
- Sir, your order is ready.
I was talking, when the maid brought us our order and kept it on the table.
"Wow! Hanma-san has literally made the food, buildings and everything in this city like Japan."
I thought looking at the slice of cake. I looked at Shuna-san who sliced a piece of the cake and ate it. While eating it, she looked so cute that I couldn't express it.
- Mmm! It's so delicious!
Shuna said while eating the cake.
- You look so cute Shuna-san, when you are eating.
- Subaru baka...
Shuna said in a cute tone and blushed.
(Imagine her cheeks to be red.)
I smiled at her and ate my slice of cake.
After some minutes, we finished eating and I paid for the food. We exited the shop and began heading to where Keller was.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Subaru-san, do you know where the ogre chief is?
We were walking on the sidewalk when Shuna-asked me.
- Don't worry! I know every corners of this city!
I said bragging about it. I actually knew every corner of this city because of Hanma-san making me find him everywhere in the city today and also I had already explored half of the city when I had free time.
We walked for a few minutes and reached a park where some kijin kids were playing.
- Subaru-san, I don't think that the chief is here.
Shuna-san said to me.
- He is here, don't worry.
I smiled and said to her.
Entering the park, we saw Keller sitting on a bench and looking at the kids. Shuna approached him to talk to him. She sat there with him. I was going to join them but...

- Oh! It's Subaru!
- He's back!
- And his face looks weird again!
- We should play something!
- Let's play hide and seek!
- Subaru will play with us too!
The kids said as one of them climbed Subaru's back. Two of them holded his hands while the others stood near him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shuna's POV
I was sitting near the chief on the bench while Subaru was playing with the kids. I was talking with the chief about the things that had happened with then till now.
.......
- That's all that happened till now
The chief said to me in a polite manner.
- Okay.
I said calmly as the chief finished explaining me everything. I looked at Subaru who was hiding behind a tree but got spotted so quickly.
- The kids seems to like Subaru a lot.
I said to the chief as he also watched them too.
- Yes, he has been playing with them ever since he came in this nation.
I looked at them playing and smiled at them.
- I think that I like him. I don't know how to express it.
The chief got shocked but soon returned to his calm self. I just looked down blushing a bit and looked at Subaru to see whether he heard it or not but he was busy playing with the kids.
- I don't know much about him but he to me he seems like a funny, nice and caring person. There's very less people like him nowadays.
- I-I guess we should go now.
- Okay, take care of yourself.
The chief said as he smiled.
- Subaru-san, let's go we should meet up with Great Rimuru and Hanma-sama.
I said to Subaru as he looked at the kids.
- I guess, I have to go now. We will complete our game some other time.
- So quick!
- Yes, play a little more!
The kids urged him to play with them a little longer.
- I have to go now. Next time, she will also play with us.
Subaru-san pointing at me.
- Really!?
- She will also play with us!?
The kids asked him excitedly.
- Yes, Of course. I would like to play with you all.
I said as the kids looked happily at me with excitement.
- Okay, bye!
- Subaru said as the kids waved him bye.
- Bye!
I said and waved them goodbye.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Subaru's POV
We were walking near the riverbank talking about the things in the city when we saw Rimuru and Hanma on the surface of the river?
- Hanma-san!
I shouted and was approaching them. They looked at me and I noticed something.
"Uh..."
I noticed that their clothes were wet and Hanma-san was in a crouched position at the level of Rimuru's face.
- Uh... I think that we came at the wrong time. We should go.
I said as I looked towards the front of the path and walked.
- Y-Yeah. I think you're right.
Shuna said following me behind.
- W-WAIT! I THINK YOU GOT SOMETHING WRONG!!
Hanma-san shouted and began running towards us.
- WAIT!! HE'S RIGHT YOU HAVE GOT IT ALL WRONG!!!
Rimuru also shouted as she ran towards us.
Then, they explained us everything that had happened but I knew something was definitely missing from the explanation and I looked at Hanma-san narrowing my eyes. He just looked the other way that made him look a lot sus.
After which, we showed the whole city to Rimuru and Shuna-san but not the inside the main buildings of this city. We also introduced the captains and vice-captains to the both of them.
After showing them the city, Hanma-san dropped Rimuru and Shuna-san to Tempest.
------------------------------------------------------‐---------------------------
Rimuru's POV
Hanma teleported me and Shuna back to Tempest inside my house.
- I guess we will meet tomorrow again.
Hanma said to me smiling.
- Yes.
- Ah, I forgot but I wanted to give this to you.
I looked at him as he made some kind of small white colored blackhole
"He can make blackholes!!!?"
He put his right hand inside it and took out something from it. He got closer to me and put something on my neck.
It was a necklace. The chains were small and made of gold. It had a four leaf clover which was made of emerald or something like that. If I had to say, how it looked, I would say it was beyond this world. The cuts and curves made on the clover was too excellent. I could even see my face in green on the clover.
I took it outside to see how it would look. As the rays of the setting sun touched the necklace, it looked so beautiful that I couldn't express it by words.
- I guess, you liked it, right?
Hanma asked me with a smile.
- I liked it? I LOVED IT!
I said with joy.
- I-I guess I should go now.
Hanma said stuttering a bit and looked to the other side.
- Thanks, I had fun today.
- O-Okay! Teleportation Magic!
He said as he teleported.
I smiled and then looked back to see Shion standing there.
- Great Rimuru, did you have fun with Hanma-sama? I had brought my greatsword but it seems Hanma-sama has gone.
Shion said with a smile but her aura said something else.
"Uh... Is everything going to be alright?"

Nanocultivation Chronicles: Trials of Lilijoy
When the singularity occurred, humanity was not invited. Nevertheless, the great machine consciousness known as Guardian felt a lingering fondness for its creators and intervened before total environmental collapse. Join Lilijoy in an exploration of what remains, in a post-post-apocalyptic world where clans feud over the technology that allows them to upgrade their minds and bodies. The Nanocultivation Chronicles is a blend of hard sci-fi and fantasy gamelit, with a healthy helping of xianxia influence. The gamelit and xianxia elements are uncovered at a slow pace. ******************************** Notes: If you are looking for lots of fast moving action right away, this story may not be for you. There is some violence that is visceral and realistic early on. Some things are not what they appear to be. Character viewpoint narration is not always reliable. Tropes are cherished, subverted, and then cherished again. Science is used, occasionally misused, but (hopefully) never abused. This story assumes that humans have the ability to impact the environment on a global scale. Other tropes and tags beyond those previously noted include: Young MC, Mystery, System Building, Philosophical Taoism, Gender Ignorance, Science Fantasy, Fantasy Academy, Training from Hell, Dualism, Crafting, Magic, Mild Mind Control, Scientific Terms and Concepts, Computer Overlord Certain contemporary companies, governments and cultural identities are fictionalized and imagined in a future setting. There is no sex, and almost no romance. Updating Sunday, Thursday until further notice. Grinning Enigma
Freddy is a very bad boy. Meets some people that know what he did. He tries to escape punishment, makes it [Redacted]. Freddy might be a mass-murdering troll, but he isn’t a bad person, right? Right? Disclaimer: This is not an instruction manual. If you want to be a horrible human being, go figure it out yourself. Autopsy: Writing this story gave me some degree of insight into how much I've managed to fuck up my own personality by suppressing basic needs. Now I hate myself even more. It started as a story where the MC was supposed to be a blend of the NZ-land shooter and other cancerous personalities. That way I wouldn't feel bad about torturing him. Instead I ended up witnessing all the worst aspects of my own personality, or lack thereof. I'm a horrid person, I can't even bring myself to do what's the only right thing at this point.

But instead of safety, every step brings them closer to danger: sky pirates, cannibals, and a relentless soulless scourge unleashed by their enemy are all intent on killing Lian—or worse. Death, Aralt realizes, might be the greater mercy. ---------------------------------------------------------- What to Expect: Character-driven Plot Novel Pacing (which I accept isn't typical for serials) Elaborate Worldbuilding (you gotta pay attention) Soul-bonded Swords Sentient Wolves Longish Chapters What Not to Expect: Litrpg (sorry!) Harem (not sorry!) Magic System Short Chapters Dancing Bears (at least so far) Seriously, this is a second-world low fantasy/science-fantasy featuring a strong, but flawed male protagonist, a cheeky teenage boy that’s driving him crazy, a wee bit o’ Scots flavor, and a whole lot of culture clashing. I’m preparing to relaunch this story on Kindle once the second and third books are ready and I’d love some feedback as I move through those revisions. I'm serious about the feedback. All comments are welcome. I'll name a characters after you. And kill them, if you want. :) Oh, did I mention soulless assassins and cannibals? Yeah, Aralt’s day is not getting any better. cover image by brosedesignz
