《His Butterfly》Chapter 12

Richard wanted to drown in his sorrows. He cursed himself for coming to the event. With his drink in his hand, he stared at Amara longingly. He knew how much she loved dancing but watching her dance with the jerk was pure torture. Her fiancé didn't knew her rhythm, the steps and whatnot. Richard loved at how in the mafia world every one feared him but in front of Amara he always goes back to the person he was four years ago. All the deaths ,bloods and pains of the men he killed didn't affected him but the mere thought of her getting hurt make his heart freeze. Alas! She'll never now how much he loved her.
Richard was engrossed in his thoughts when he heard someone sitting beside his stool.
"Ric, why are you not dancing with Leah?"
"Really Amara, THAT is your fiancé. He fucking don't even know how to dance."
"I'll be the judge of what he knows and not. And who are you to complain about his dancing skills? When you yourself don't know how to dance."
"Well I know how to dance. I had a good teacher."
"I am sure in this four years you had forgotten every thing I had taught you."
"Are you challenging me?"
"Just stating facts."
Amara turned to leave when he caught her hands. Bringing her closer, he took her hand in his hands .
"May I have this dance?"
Amara nodded as he guided her to the dance floor. He had his one hand on her back, the touch making both of them forget the people present there. The music changed to a slow dance song making the environment romantic. Amara and Richard stared into each other's eyes reminiscing their old times together. Ric thought this will be the last time he gets to dance with his butterfly. He wanted to make each and every moment of this dance memorable.

The way their bodies swayed in coordination made everyone believe they had practiced this dance which was true but they had done it four years ago. Amara was amazed at how he remembered all the fine details of their dance.
"Amara."
"Yes."
"Do you remember how I used to sing the song, you choreographed it and then we use to practice it?"
"Yup. It was so hard to teach the steps."
They looked at each other and smiled as if the time took them back to moment they were talking about.
FOUR YEARS AGO....
"Ric, you are doing it wrong. You don't have to turn. I'll only turn. God help me."
"Babe, I am a photographer. I capture memories. I don't know how to dance."
"Then learn how to dance. Its my cousin's wedding. And I want us to be the best dancing couple."
"Amara my love, my sunshine. Our looks are enough to make us the best one out there."
"Richard."
"What I meant is if you want me to dance I'll dance. How about I sing a song and you choreograph it."
"What you are a singer now?"
"Well my muse is really marvelous."
" Okay. My boyfriend is also a singer but no he can't dance."
"Damn, now I know why the kids are so scared of you. You don't take no as an answer. Poor souls they got so strict teacher."
"RICHARD."
" Sorry love. I just love you angry expressions. Okay now listen to the song which I wrote for you."
" In the dark night,
I'll be there for you,
No matter what comes,
My heart will beat for you.
Never going to change,
Never going to replace,
I'll always find in you my place.

I feel you in my heartbeat,
Feel you in my blood,
No matter what comes,
We'll always be together.
Sun will rise and rest,
Seasons will come and go,
No matter what comes,
My heart will beat for you. "
"How was it?.. wait are you crying love?"
"I love you."
"I love you more."
"Okay. Whenever we'll get married, I want our wedding dance to be on this song. Promise me?"
"Promise love. I was hoping you'll say that. Cause as soon as we say I do I'll be taking you to the dance floor and then on our bed."
Amara laughed at his silliness. She always thanked her stars for meeting Ric. He was pure. His heart as innocent as a child. And he loved her more than anything in this entire world.

The Mystifying Diviner
Content warning, there is cursing in the story and there will be some pretty heavy sexual innuendos in it also. I don’t really plan to write gore, but there will be fight scenes. Fair warning to readers, it is a slow start. But hopefully it is enjoyable for you to read. Follow the story of an old chef who was lucky to be selected to become a system host. Well maybe not so lucky, because gaining the system killed him. He will be given a system that might not be the best match for him. While also having to deal with a snarky system monitor who might not be that helpful most of the time. He will also use his new found powers to enjoy life in a new younger body. What you can expect from this story is bad writing, poor grammar, and slow pacing maybe. Food, cooking, comedy, slice of life, fighting, exploring, tournaments, scamming and probably face slapping. I mean who doesn’t like a good face slapping? This is my take on a cultivation story, a lot of Eastern stuff will be crammed into with a mix of Western. This story started as a goal for myself to write 60,000 words in a month for NaNoWriMo. I was able to do it even with taking days off and not writing. I plan to keep writing the story, but at a slightly slower pace. I am aiming for 2-3 chapters a week now with about 4-7k words written. This is only posted on RoyalRoad currently, and I have no plans to change that for now. Mutation Era
That one fateful day, he showed up. The man in black. He who acted like this life was just another game. He appeared everywhere. Floating up in the sky. So naturally, but yet strangely eerie. He raised his hand and snapped then… Mutation. ... This is my first story that i've written, and with no education in story-writing, please don't expect anything of quality. I encourage you to give me feedback on my work. On that note, have fun reading! You can expect maybe 1 or 2 chapters per month because I'm really slow at writing. Chapter art courtesy of gej302
