Richard has been punching the bag for the past two hours. His gang members present in the gym knew that it was his way of dealing with frustration. Something must have happened. Though he was a merciless man, he held lot of compassion. Everybody here knew that. He was punching the bag with such force and hatred it was scary to watch. Even his best friend and right-hand man Noah stood at a distance. When the bag cracked open, spreading out grains and sand everywhere Noah went to pacify him.
“Hey man. Its enough your hand is all bloodied. “
“When does bloodied hands stops me?”
“Ric, what’s wrong?”
“Huh..”
“Talk to me man. What’s wrong?”
“WHATS WRONG? YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT’S FUCKING WRONG. ITS EVERYTHING. FUCKING EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE IS WRONG. EVERYTHING.”
Noah asked the other men to leave the room as they stared at the sight in front of them. Something was disturbing the most powerful man they knew and it was enough reason for them to help him at any cost.
“Ric, calm down mate. I know it must’ve be hard seeing Amara after so many years. Man just remember you’re doing everything to keep her safe.”
“I.. I’ve lost her. She is getting married. She… she loves someone else. I knew she would have moved on but it hurts so damn bad Noah. It feels like someone has ripped my heart out.”
“Richard.”
“She’ll get married. She’ll have kids. I want to be happy for her but this pain is making it hard. She wasn’t just my girlfriend, but also my queen. She is my world Noah and someone else will be hers. Its just too much.”
Richard sat on the floor in Indian style. Holding his head in his arms, he tried to talk himself up. It was fucking heartbreaking to watch him breaking all over again.

“ You are not alone Ric. You have me, your family and now Leah plus all these men respects you and will do anything for you.”
“My only family is getting married to someone else. But I’m fucking thankful for you being in my life. And please don’t take Leah name.”
And with her name ,his anger was back. He was angry on his family, his fiancé and that father of her, he was angry on everything beside his butterfly. He stood and walked angrily towards the bar in the mansion. Pouring himself the a glass of bourbon whiskey he drank all in one go. He poured one after another, his mind got hazed after his 4th strong drink. His speech slurred as he ranted about how much he hated the Gods and Heavens as they took his beloved from him.
As he was drowning himself in alcohol his brother and his family entered the drawing room. The bar was interconnected with that room. Richard saw his brother and stumbled upon the room. Noah rushed behind him to stop him from making a scene.
“You I hate yyouuuuu. I hate you also. I hate even you. I hate the Blacks.”
“Brother are you drunk?”
“I am not your brother. You are a selfish prick. You gave me your burdens and here you are roaming freely. Having babies after baby. I fucking hate you.”
“Richard is this any way to talk to your brother.”
“Ohh..Papa Black is defending his favorite son. You always do this. In order to let him have his happily ever after you took away my happiness. You are the biggest bastard of all.”
“Son, calm down. Don’t talk to your brother and father in this manner.”
“Look who is teaching me manners.. who herself only have table manners. Mother, oh no.. Victoria Black you only care about your manicure and pedicures so stop acting like a mother.”

“Noah take him upstairs. He is out of his mind.”
“Why daddy dearest not loving your true descriptions.”
“I did it for everyone’s happiness.”
Richard laughed but his laugh was mocking everyone in this room.
“ No. Old man you did it for Arthur’s happiness. The ones that are happy are you, your fucking wife because she doesn’t care anyway and your only son Arthur.”
“You took away the reason of my happiness. You made me lose the only person who loved me. You took away my happiness to save your own happiness. You guys destroyed my life. My father died the day he forced me to take up this job and marry some dumbfuck keeping my girlfriend at gunpoint. I hate all of you..”
He collapsed on the floor before he could utter anything more. Noah and Arthur rushed to help him. They both picked him up and moved on to his room. Placing him on his bed, Arthur brushed the locks of his face. He was totally astonished at what his brother felt. He knew his father had blackmailed him but he never probed into the matter more. He went fucking selfish once in his life and it costed him his brother’s happiness. He was brought up with one aim in his life to become the next mafia Lord of his father’s clan. He was deadly in every fighting techniques. He had a practice of twenty years. But he was knocked out of his breath when he saw his wife for the first time.
“Its not your fault. Don’t blame yourself.”
“We both know Noah that it was me who fucking ruined everything.”
“ It was Henry’s approach to the situation that turned everything negative. He could talk but he his mind was already dead set on negative outcomes.”
“I never knew my brother liked a girl.”
“Loved.”
“What?”
“He didn’t liked her, he loved her more than his dreams. He smiled when she smiled, cried when she cried. It was as if some magic was involved. I never believed in true love until I saw them.”
“ Do you know where she is now?”
“No. We didn’t had any contact with her in the past four years.”
“Okay.”
“Its already late. Go have some sleep. I’ll be here.”

Re-Ordaining of the Chosen
Alea cheerfully hummed as she descended the steps, brimming in upbeat while her colleague, Quarren Leos, shot her a look of skepticism. “So… were you right about him?” he asked doubtfully. She came to a stop for a moment, her humming falling silent before she shook her head, waving her medium length light-blonde hair from side to side. “I was wrong about him.” Quarren raised an eyebrow in confusion at the convoluted response.“But you seem quite happy?” he asked again. “Because I am. But I was wrong about him. He was… so much more than I ever expected.” Alea looked at the sky overhead with a smile. “That boy… no, that man, is amazing. I firmly believe he will come to stand on top of any adversary he faces. He is destined. He is Chosen.” Quarren snorted as he stepped past, shaking his head. “Okay. Each to their own beliefs but you’re sounding like a nutjob. That skinny twig? Everyone calls him a cripple, you know,” he shook his head.“Rumours are always false, Leos,” Alea answered with a disapproving shake of her head. “You wouldn’t know. He is so, so much more.” “I saw him with my own two eyes. I didn’t see anything redeeming,” Quarren rebutted. “Well…” Alea chuckled. “You haven’t seen what I’ve seen.” In the year 917 of the Imperial Calendar, the Great War had just ended between dozens of nations.
