《His Butterfly》Chapter 8

Whole night Amara was awake formulating a plan to find out the truth. After making few calls, she smirked. She had already wasted four years wallowing over the false claims. Although his words were painful his intentions were innocent. But from whom he was saving her? Her father or mother were decent people. They don’t have any enemies that could hurt her. Who was blackmailing him? Richard Black was tougher than any man she knew. It was ironic how he was her strength but he got weakened because of her. She smiled at the memory of the day they first met.
PAST
“Amara the photographer is ready, bring your models now.”
“Yes Marcus.”
Amara entered the hall where all the interns where projecting their designs. She positioned all her three models as she explained the photographer the sequences she wanted to be captured. But unfortunately the person whom she explained was busy checking her out.
Richard Black had plenty of girls craving for his attention. Being the child of a mafia king, he knew the looks of genuine disinterest and pretending to be disinterested. This girl in front of him was solely focused on her design and model. It wasn’t about his ego getting bruised, it was the sincerity in her eyes for her work that blew him away. With six feet four inches and dark green eyes, he was quite the charmer. His jeans and tight fitted t-shirt defined his abs and biceps more appealing.
The photoshoot finished early as he followed her instructions accordingly. Richard was mesmerized by her golden locks. She had bangs adorning her face. She had introduced herself as Amara Wesley. Her blue eyes widening when anything went wrong , she joined her eyebrows when in confusion, he studied her expression as if preparing for an exam. Her eyelashes were naturally bigger. She was wearing a white shirt with blue jeans short shaping her rear. She had a firm and lean body. Her lips widening in a smile when she looked the final pictures.

“Thank you so much Mr. Black. you have some amazing shooting skills.”
“ And you are an amazing designer.”
“ That I am. So I’ll get going.”
“Amara.”
“Yes.”
“Go on a date with me.”
“ I don’t even know you.”
“Myself Richard Black. Father’s name Henry Black. I’m 26 years old. Got my degree in journalism from Yale. But chose my hobby as a profession. So I’m a full time photographer. I live in One West street. And I even write a blog.”
“Now you know me more than a stranger. So Miss Amara Wesley will you have a dinner with me?”
Amara laughed at his antics. She had noticed him the moment she entered the room but was so nervous and concern about her dresses she didn’t gave it more thought.
“Okay.”
“Give me your phone number . I’ll text you the time and place.”
She gave him her phone number and he ringed her. Although Richard told her he will drop her, declining his offer she took a cab. All the ride back home she smiled like a fool. He was fours years older than her. She had dated in her high school years but remained single during college.
PRESENT
Amara phone rang bringing her back to her planning. It was an unknown number.
“Hello.”
“ Stay away from Leah and my family. What’s all with the invitation? We will not be coming.”
“ Okay.”
“What do you mean by okay?”
“I said if you don’t want to come then don’t. I just thought you’ll be happy to meet my fiancé.”
“Your fiancé? What the hell do you mean Amara?”
Amara smirked at the anger she heard in his voice.
“It means the person who’ll marry me, make love to me and have kids with me. My future husband.”

“Oh.”
“Yeah. Is this your number?”
“ Yeah.”
There was silence for a ten long seconds when Richard asked a question in small voice.
“Do you love him?”
“More than myself.”
“I have to go and Amara…”
“Yes.”
“We’ll come.”
He disconnected the call. Amara looked up a large grin splitting her face. She just prayed everything goes as planned. She will fight for her love. She was already four years late. She’ll do everything in her power to save her hero. Its high time the hero gets saved by his heroine.

Pillars Between Us
It started with the dent left by the Forest Sprite; A small crack in the ice that encased his memories. Curtis knew that something was off, realizing that he wasn’t who he thought he was and— perhaps Ellis wasn’t the one meant for him. --It's a fantasy novel set in a world where people inhabit on pillars-- (think of m*necaft sky block, you'll get what I mean) -- then give it a hint of action, mystery and (twisted) romance-- and it's influenced by Japanese fantasy light novels (cuz I read a lot of em'). But I'm sure it's a weird one cuz the style of writing isn't the Japanese to English translated kind of style but rather the orthodox English novel kind of writing (which includes a bunch of errors and broken English thanks to me!). In any case, if you're up for it, just beware the story starts out pretty slow.. I mean-- back then, I was still inexperienced ok! I'm gettin' better along the way, Hmmph!
