It was now a few days before summer break ends and Y/n couldn't believe how perfect these past weeks have been. Today she was actually meeting up with Max and Daniel to catch up. She was happy about getting the invite from Max because she hasn't really had a big circle until now. They spoke about silly things for a while until Max asked something in a more serious manner.

Max: So Y/n, forgive me if I am overstepping, but what's your family situation? Like you've never mentioned them, there were no pictures at the house and Charles said once that they were it for you.

Y/n: You're forgiven because it's a valid question. Charles is right, they're it for me. I lost my mom a couple years back, had no siblings and my drunk asshole of a dad lives somewhere in Nice last I heard. I ran away from him because social workers wouldn't have been helpful as I was almost too old for support from them. That's when I moved in with Jules... until the accident... then I ended up with the Leclercs.

Daniel: Shit y/n. I'm sorry.

Max: Yeah that's kind of crap.

Y/n: I'm okay, it sucked but Jules and now the Leclercs saved me.

Max: Well now you got us too.

Y/n: Oh no really? Is it too late to leave lunch?

Daniel: Haha, wow Y/n. Feeling is mutual.*

* The three of them spoke and laughed for ages and eventually went home. On her way home Y/n received a text that stopped her dead in her tracks.

Miss me?

"What the hell? How's he out?"

She left it and walked home, praying it was a sick prank from Luca.

Charles: Hey, how was lunch?

Y/n: Fine. I'm in my room.

Pierre: What the heck? That was short.

Charles: I'm gonna ask Max if something happened.

After a couple minutes Charles came back.

Charles: Nothing happened, apparently they had a great time.

Pierre: Strange... I'll um go ask her?

Charles: No, let's let her breathe a bit.

Pierre looked concerned in the direction of Y/n's room before answering "okay" to Charles. He knows she's gone through a lot, more than Charles even knows but he wouldn't know how well she would handle something more...
