Y/n woke up that night in a panic. Again... The same recurring nightmare every night; sometimes it wakes her, sometimes it doesn't. As she lay in bed, catching her breath she kept replaying her conversation with Luca, over and over again. Had she really ended it? What is he going to do now?

After struggling to fall back asleep for a couple of hours she decided to get up and eat. She couldn't wait for Charles and Arthur to get back, the house is too quiet... Once she was ready for the day and had settled on the couch she tuned into the race. They were still busy with the build-up and so she decided to phone Charles.

Charles: Hey y/n

Y/n: Hey Charles, are you able to talk?

Charles: To you? Always.

Y/n: How was Arthur's race?

Charles: P5, not bad when he started P20.

Y/n: Not bad?! That's flipping amazing!

Charles: Haha yeah, and how you?

Y/n: I'm alright. More importantly are you ready?

Charles: You know it.

Y/n: You got this! I'm seeing you right now, jeez maybe don't look so eager to race. Gotta stay intimidating.

Charles turned and saw a camera on him in the garage, he winked at it and then turned back around.

Charles: Yeah yeah. Alright well I gotta go.

Y/n: Good luck!

They ended the call and in no time at all the race was starting. It was an excellent race and Charles managed to get a P2. Y/n didn't really watch many other cars but couldn't help to notice how well the Alpha Tauri drivers did this race.

She quickly went onto Instagram to congratulate the two guys that had been her brothers:

Later that evening she decided to brave it and go out for dinner. She called Lorenzo so she wouldn't go alone and the two of them met up to go have dinner.

Lorenzo: I'm so glad you called hey. When you sent me to voicemail I was worried.

Y/n: Oh, yeah sorry about that. I just didn't want to talk.

Lorenzo: Is everything okay?

Y/n wondered just how much she should fill Lorenzo in on... hesitantly she answered:

Y/n: I- um- I ended things with Luca. *that was enough, more would've been too risky*

Lorenzo: Wh- why? I'm sorry.

Y/n: As if you need to ask, and I know you're happy...

Lorenzo: It was the polite thing to do, and you're right. Took you long enough, he was horrible to you.

Y/n: He was nice when I needed him to be... to an extent at least. And holy hell was he hot when we met.

Lorenzo and Y/n laughed at this; she felt so good to be laughing again...

Later that night when she was back home, y/n received a message. It was Luca.

Y/n stared at this message for a bit... He wouldn't actually come over. Would he? The thought alone made her get chills down her spine. He was capable of so much and she wasn't ready to see just how much yet.

It's okay, she thought, the guys are back in the morning.

Deciding it's just an empty threat meant to scare her, she turned her phone off and tried to get some sleep. Just as she fell asleep she was quickly woken by the shatter of glass...
