《The Secret Pack》Chapter Sixteen

Sometime later, I was shaken awake and he carried me down to the river to wash up. One thing led to another and things got heated and we ended up having to do it there. I was so tired that I slept when we were done. I don't know how he got me home, but I woke up in bed at the pack house.
It is strange having to wake up and not wrapped in his arms, just like how I woke up in the times we were visiting the packs. I sit up with my back to the bedroom door and pick up his pillow just to breathe in his scent. Gosh! He smells damn good and this pillow doesn't have much of his scent.
"Uh, what are you doing?" His voice breaks me out of my daydream and I hastily turn around falling down the bed. I fall on my butt and I immediately feel pain, reminding me of yesterday's activity. I groan as he picks me up and lay me back on the bed.
"Are you okay?" He asks and I look at him with a raised brow.
"Do I look like it?"
"No. You look like you're in pain."
"Thank you for figuring it out." I reply with sarcasm and he shakes his head at me and look at the wrist watch he's wearing.
"It's one in the afternoon, you sure slept a lot."
I scoff and cross my arms on my chest. "It's not my fault that someone couldn't get enough of me and tired me out to the point that I passed out."
He looks at me with a questioning look and I give him a bored look. Soon the wheels turn in his head and he gets what I am saying.
Stupid Elijah.
"Oh," he drawls out and then clears his throat. "So, the fall, the pain, I thought you will be okay by morning and since you slept in, I thought you are even better by now." He adds sheepishly.
"It's obvious I am not okay, so don't get any ideas."
"Uh, okay." He pauses and stares at me with an awe look. Getting frustrated with the looks he's been giving me, I mouth to him a 'what?', he clears his throat again and goes to the door.
"I already took a shower. Get ready; we are having lunch with my parents." With that said he walks out the door and close it behind him. I roll my eyes and stretch my body, ready to get this day going.
I take a shower, get dressed and look around the house for Elijah. I don't find him, so I grab an apple in our kitchen and walk out the room, going downstairs to have lunch. I'm so hungry, my stomach feels so empty and I sure need some food to fill me up.
Eli says and I shrug.

I cut the connection and go to the house's kitchen, where I'm sure Jemima will be. Sure enough, I find her there monitoring.
"Good mor- I mean good afternoon, Jemima." She turns to me and gives me a hug.
"Good morning to you too." She releases me and holds me at arm's length from her. "I missed you, Kacper. You two had a long journey and at a moment I was afraid we might not meet."
"What are you talking about? You live here, so why could we have not met?" I remove a tear that managed to drop on her face.
"He, um, so he didn't tell you?" She asks and now I start to worry.
"Who didn't tell me what?"
"Don't worry about it. I assure you it's nothing bad. We will talk about it during lunch." She brings me in a hug again then takes my hand in hers. "Let's go, the table is set."
We walk in the backyard, where a table is set under a huge tree which is shielding the table from the sun. Elijah and his father are already there and look like they are having a serious discussion. I wonder what it is about. When we reach them, the two pull out our chairs and we sit. Elijah gives me a brief kiss and takes his seat. I'm seated beside him and we are opposite Jemima and Darius.
"Welcome back, Kacper, I hope you had a nice journey. How are you?" I look at Darius and smile.
"Thank you, Darius and I really had a nice journey. I am fine, how are you?"
"I am fine, thank you." He smiles at me, then look at Jemima and she smile at him and turn to us.
"Well, let's eat." She state and we do exactly that. We eat and small talk here and there. Mostly; Jemima and Darius asking me how I liked it in the places where we went to, for the past two months. They tell me how happy they were when they heard about Michael and Cadmael. I really hope things work out between them.
"Where is Marah?" I ask once we are done eating, the table already cleared.
"She didn't call you? She said she would, anyway, she met her mate and moved in with him." Jemima replies to me.
"What?" I and Elijah exclaim.
"So you really didn't know? It happened at your ceremony. I guess she didn't want to bother you at that time."
"No mom, she could have still told us no matter what. I will invite him here any day this week." Elijah says.
"Do what you want, Elijah. Just don't scare him away."
"No promises." He grins, already setting his evil plans in motion.
"Um, what did you want to tell me about?" I curiously ask.
"Oh, about that. Well, we are moving from this pack this evening." Jemima responds.

"What?" I gasp at the news and Elijah somehow holds my left hand in his. I look at him and he gives me a sad smile. "No, no, no." I shake my head in disbelief and turn to the couple before me. "Why? Where?"
"We are going to her pack." Darius pause and looks at me. "We are no longer needed here, our duty here is over and she wished we went back to her pack to live there." He explains.
"But I still need you guys. I mean, I know we haven't been together that long but I always look up to you guys. I can't be alone." A hand squeezes my own and I turn to Elijah and then back to them. "I may have Elijah with me but it's different having you around too. What if I mess up, who will collect me. You have to teach me more." I quickly add.
"You and Elijah will be fine and together you make a team. You will help each other when necessary and if you need me, you can always call me or link me."
I feel a tear slide down my face and Jemima stands and come to me. She holds my head in her hands and dries the tears on my face and comforts me.
"Can you guys leave us?" She whispers and both men stand up and leave. Elijah gives my hand a squeeze and I return the gesture before he leaves.
"Tell me what you are really afraid of."
I sigh and look at her. She gives me an assuring smile and I sigh again.
"What if I am not a good Luna like you? What if things go wrong between us again? I will be alone, Jemima. Cad is not with me anymore, Marah left too, Keziah has a family to look after and now you are also leaving me. Chris is busy these days, we don't talk much." I voice out my worries.
"Things will be fine between you an-"
"You don't know that! I hate to say it, but just because he's my mate don't mean things will always be shining. There will be a time that the rains will come and it may even be accompanied by the storm. The bright day won't last forever because eventually the night has to come in with its darkness. I won't sit here and let you give me false hope." I grit out.
"That is why I'm sure you will make a great Luna than me. I like your words and they are true, but Kacper, you should always be ready to face whatever life throws in your way. Enjoy it while you can and don't waste it by a mere 'what if' consideration. The storm doesn't last forever and neither does the night. You just have to look forward to the calm after the storm and be strong enough to mend the things the storm destroyed. Look forward to the bright day that will come after the night's darkness. There is also a possibility that you won't face the storm in your life, so stop your wondering mind and deal with the present. Be happy with your mate." She calmly concludes and I throw my arms around her.
We spend the rest of the day talking random things, until it was time for them to leave. I say my farewells and with a last hug, they pull out of the drive way and drive to wherever they are going. I asked Jemima about where her pack is but didn't get a solid explanation. I know there was something she was hiding but I didn't push it.
We, Elijah and I, go up to our room and in a second, I'm being pushed against the locked door once we are inside. He leans down, tracing his wet tongue on my lips and then kisses me. He moves his hips on me and feeling his hard member, I moan and he deepens the kiss. After some time, the kiss ends and we just stare at each other while breathing heavily.
"You will see them soon, babe." I just nod to him and he gives me a smile. "Did I tell you we will be in the library tomorrow?"
"What for?"
"Babe, you have books to read. Remember?" He smirks at me and I jump on him happily. He catches me and wraps my leg around his waist while my arms are already secured around his neck.
"I get to read the mysterious books? OMG! I can't wait for tomorrow." I happily wiggle in his arms and he laughs, walking us to the bedroom and lay me down. He hovers above me and pecks my lips.
"I love you, Kacy"
"Always and forever, Elijah."
"Definitely." He trails kisses on my neck and I tilt my head to give him better access. "Are you still sore?"
"Uh, no." I hesitantly reply.
"Good. The big guy wants to play." He grinds on me and I feel his hard member on mine. I start to get aroused too and bring my hips to his retreating ones, moaning when our members get in contact again.
We end up doing it more than once and he blames it on me for holding him off for a long time. I pass out again, letting my body rest for the night.
***
I wake up early, my curiosity getting the best of me. I leave a note on the desk in our room and ran down to the library to quench my curiosity. It was a bit difficult to walk around with a sore butt, but I somehow managed to get here. This is a big library and I hope I find the books fast or else I might wait for Elijah and I don't know when he will be here.
