《The Secret Pack》Chapter Six

I just stand there watching the scene before me as Elijah greets the people around, with the woman still plastered to his side. To say I'm angry is an understatement because I feel like I've surpassed that. I've never felt this rage before but I love it. If he thought he was going to embarrass me then he has another thing coming.
"Kacy..." Cad whispers
"Yes."
"What are you going to do now?"
What am I going to do?
Well, that's a perfect question but I'm afraid I don't have an answer to that. I frankly don't know what to do but right now, I'm not one to think but act what comes to mind and right now, there's something cooking. I will just show him what I am going to do rather than explain.
"Get me a drink."
The order is carried out by Cad who brings a bottle and a tumbler which he goes to hand me but I grab the bottle and drink from it. I definitely need this drink. When the bottle is halfway done, I stop drinking and look back at Elijah. He still has the girl at his side.
That stupid bitch.
I make my way to Elijah and stop right in front of them. Elijah avoids eye contact once I look up to him. Then my eyes set on the brown eyes belonging to the woman.
"Is this one of your relative again, Elijah?" She asks. Too bad he doesn't give her a response.
I smirk.
I bring up the bottle and slowly drop its contents on the girls head. Loud gasps reaches my ear but I don't mind them. She looks at me, her mouth opening and closing at loss of words to say. I don't know when they separated but I'm glad to see her not attached to Elijah's side any longer.
"W-w-what are y-you doing?" She whispers slowly.
"I'm supposed to be asking you that. What do you think you are doing?"
"I-i w-was just....."
"Is he your mate?"
"No b-but-"
"Good. Then what are you doing with your hands all over him? Do you think he doesn't have a mate?"
"I d-do, its ju-"
"Great. Now listen to me bitch." I growl at her menacingly, and look her straight in the eyes. "This time I will be forgiving but I will not be, next time. So I hope we won't have a next time."
"What are you talking about?" She asks looking confused.

"What I'm saying is, next time I see you put your filthy hands on my mate you will find yourself six feet under." I state with a smile. I watch as the news finally hits home in her head. Eyes wide she looks between me and Elijah. Her head low, she starts fidgeting. Good.
"I-I a-am s-sorry I didn't know-"
"Shut! Up!" I give her the nastiest glare I could master. "You and me both know that's a lie. There is no Alpha without a mate. This should be the last time I see the likes of you. Now leave!" I yell out
She looks at me, not even believing what I said. I feel my hands forming into claws as my body starts changing forms and ready to strike. I raise my hand to do just that when I feel it blocked by Elijah. I look up at him and this time he meets my gaze. He doesn't even look away.
"Leave!" He growls to Joyce, his wannabe girlfriend, and she runs out the hall. I forgot he was still here and wonder why he didn't interfere all that time I've been here. He looks at me and moves getting too near for comfort.
"Kacper." I shake my head and snatch my hand from his. I take a step back, away from him. I can't believe he even knows my name after all those times he treated me like I'm nothing. Did he have to embarrass me in front of all these people? I shake my head and turn away to leave but he grabs my shoulder, not letting me leave. Angrily, I turn around and slap him hard making his head turn from the force of it. He looks back at me and I see some blood on his face due to my fingers that has claws now. The scratches heal before long and I wish it took ages for him to heal.
"Kacper, I jus-"
"Don't!" I cut him off.
I've spent time thinking of how it will be, hearing my name being called by him. How I worked so hard to get a glance from him. All my life, everything I've been taught and done, was to please this man. I have respect for this man and I've figured he lacks some for me because if he respected me, I'd have never known Joyce existed. He embarrassed me in front of so many people and now looking in his green eyes, I could feel my heart finally breaking in pieces.

"Don't say my name. I'm done, Elijah."
"You don't mean that." He argues and I roll my eyes.
"Oh, trust me. I mean every word I say and I'm done with you. Done playing house and waiting for the time you will acknowledge me as your mate. You ignore me and everything I do for you. I gave you your space only for you to find yourself a girlfriend. Done being stupid thinking you will give me your time to just be with me. I am done playing your stupid games. From now own, I will do what's best for me. Don't even think of standing in my way." I turn to leave only for him to hold me back again now grabbing my arm.
"Kacper, listen to me." He pleads and I scoff. As if there's anything to listen to.
I shake myself out of his hold and look back at him with a glare.
"Don't ever touch me without me saying so." I warn and leave him standing there and meet up with Cad. I hand him the bottle and make my way out of the hall, leaving Cadmael behind. I should have just smashed the bottle on him, stupid Elijah.
I cut off the connection and make my way down the road from the Pack house. I need time to myself.

I don't know how long I've been walking but I'm starting to get tired. During the walk, I managed to calm myself and tried to keep my mind blank. But now I need to think about all that happened tonight.
I don't even know why he got himself a girlfriend. What does she have that I don't? Well, except the obvious different between us but still, why her?
Aargh! This is so frustrating.
I stop walking and sit down. I look around, trying to figure out where I am and how far I did go. I look for my phone in my pocket only to find it empty. Great! I left without my phone. It's really late and here I am stranded in the middle of nowhere. I could always go back but I'm tired. I must have walked a long distance and thanks to the full moon I didn't have to deal with the darkness. Wait a minute! The full moon! I will be able to talk to Kelvin. Just the right person I need to talk to now.
I make myself more comfortable and close my eyes. I concentrate on Kelvin and slowly I can feel the connection. Him being my blood family makes a full moon link all the more easier than to a non-blood relative.
He shouts.
Yes, I did it! I smile hearing the voice of my brother. I miss him.
I can't help it but to voice my thoughts out loud.
He rants.
I say and he grumbles out a 'fine'I add and he lets out a growl, obviously not satisfied with my answer.
He demands and that's what I do.
I tell him all about Elijah and how I've been living here. I tell him about Elijah's parents and siblings. Then it comes the hard part of explaining the party. I tell him everything that happened and I'm sure he is pissed off now.
He growls.
Yes, he sure is pissed. Very.
I assure him but then add I ask.
He pauses and I wait for him to finish his words. He voice out sounding defeated.
A child? Is this really all about a child? I just don't understand. Jemima said, us being mates will make him see over this. That's why I didn't even think of it as something to make him act this way. Aargh! Must it really be something I am not able to give him? But for an heir, that would have later been arranged with his and my consent on a way to have a baby. Then why did he have to get a girlfriend?
I yell, suddenly feeling angry again.
Kel decides.
He responds.
I state firmly.
This was something I learned from TV shows I love watching. There is always the owner of the home, which is me, and the mistress who have no power to come in it. If the owner leaves and then the mistress find a way to come in, she can totally take over the house. It simply advise on not making rush decisions when you are hurt, especially leaving.
His explanation is valid. I got nothing to lose by leaving for a bit. I have to trust the bond available with me and Elijah that he will not let anyone in my home while I'm away. And I know just where to go.
We finish our talk with the promise of linking again during the full moon. With that done, I stand and make my way back. I just need few clothes to last me a week and I hope I don't run in anyone. It's a secret I and Kel only need to know.
