《His Unknown Child》Chapter 36: Not Possible

I unlocked the door to Ashton's apartment and quietly walked in. It was dark so I pulled out my phone and put on flashlight.
I shut the door and locked it, took off my shoes and looked around. "Ashton?" I whispered. I walked up some stairs and down a hall. This must be Aidan's room. I looked inside but he wasn't there. I went into worry mood.
I walked further down to the last door and opened it very quietly. I then saw Ashton, with Aidan sleeping beside him. Ashton must of fallen back asleep.
I walked back downstairs and debated whether or not if I should go. Do I really want to tell him the truth? After everything?
This may be kinda creepy, but I'm gonna stay. I'll just sit on the couch and stay awake until he wakes. I won't fall asleep.
6:31 am
I stirred, rolled over and got up. I looked over my shoulder to see if Aidan was still asleep and to my knowledge, he was.
I dragged my feet down the stairs to wake myself up a bit, but when I got down there, there was a sleeping Charlie laying on my couch.
Oh shit! I must of fallen back asleep. I totally forgot she was coming over to talk. Fuck.
"Charlie, wake up." I shook her.
"Ashton? Ashton! Oh my god, I'm so sorry. Jeez, I must of fallen asleep. I was gonna stay up, but I closed my eyes for two seconds and I must of just knocked out.
"That's usually all it takes. So what did you need to take to me about in the middle of the night?"
"I'm pregnant." She said. It didn't really bother me, but yet it did, since I still care for her.
"Okay? That's fantastic? I don't really know why you telling me this was so important. But congratulations."
"No Ashton, it's more complicated than that."
"What do you mean? You and Twan are having a baby together, that's fantastic." My heart was shattered inside, but I sucked it up.
"It's not Twan's Ashton, it's yours." I froze.
I stared at her in confusion. "Not possible. We haven't had sex since the day, since the week before I cheated." I was quiet but I also didn't believe her. It's not possible.

"I'm telling you the truth. Here." She handed me a folder. "I didn't know it was possible. Neither did the doctors, they did so many tests. They said that it's only happened once, to a women in San Juan, but when she was giving birth, she and the baby died. It has never happened since." I looked at the papers and pictures.
"No, this isn't possible. I'm dreaming. This isn't real." The papers showed that the egg that was trapped inside her, which is now growing into a baby has O negative blood. And I have O negative blood.
"I'm telling the truth Ashton. The baby is yours."
"How are you sure? Maybe Twan is O negative? Maybe he has family members who do. What about your family? How can the doctors even know what the baby's blood is? It's still an egg yet, the only way to know is when it's born."
"I'm not one-hundred percent sure, but I do know the baby is yours. And no, Twan doesn't have O negative, none of his family does, neither does mine. I've done my research. You're the only one I know that has it."
"So Aidan was suppose to be a twin or what happened?" I was still in shock, I still don't really believe her. It's not possible. Maybe all this is fake, including the papers and stuff.
"Yes, Aidan was suppose to be a twin. But one of the eggs got stuck. It got trapped somewhere and stayed there until it found away out. The doctors said I need to come back in a few days so they can do more tests."
"Does Twan even know?" She shook here head.
"No, but I'll just tell him it's his." Well, it's his alright. No possible way it's mine.
"I think you should go." I led her to the door.
"Ashton." She grabbed my hand and looked into my eyes. "You have to believe me on this." I looked back at her. "I don't think I can. It just doesn't seem real." I closed my door and locked it. Rubbing my eyes I went back to bed to think on it.

It's not real. Maybe this is all a dream. No she's just lying. She's good at that. She's very good at lying and getting her way.
I knew he wasn't going to believe me. I mean, how is it possible? It's not, that's why. It's can't be real. Maybe it's not a baby. Maybe is something else. I hope it's something else.
"Charlie, it that you?" Twan walked into the room.
"Yeah. I have something to tell you." I bit my lip and looked away, afraid.
"Did you get the test results back?" He jumped up and smiled.
"Yeah." I am so scared. Maybe it is Twan's. Yeah, there's a new thought to put in my mind. I smiled, "We're having a baby." He looked straight into my eyes.
"Oh my god? OH MY GOD! We're having a baby!" He picked me up and twirled me but that only made me fell dizzy and sick.
"Twan please put me down. I'm going to vomit on you if you don't." He put me down, I got back my balance, and then Twan hugged me.
"I am so happy." He smiled but every time he would smile, it made me feel so bad. But yet happy.
"Yay." I sat down and just stared at the tv.
"Is something wrong?" He sat next to me and put his musclier arm over my shoulder. "Are you happy?"
"Of course I'm happy. I'm happier than ever. It's just can we handle a baby and Aidan?" Our eyes connected and I was just waiting for an answer.
"Of course we can. And besides, we're not going to have Aidan twenty-four-seven. When he goes to Ashton's, we'll have plenty of time for the baby." I just smiled.
"Okay, yeah you're right. It's just shocking that we're having a baby. We haven't been dating for so long where we think about children you know."
"I get it, but we are, so we need to step up our game for this."
"Yeah."
"So, I like the name Kathiana for a girl." (Kath-thigh-ana)("Ana" pronounced like from Frozen)
"Kathiana? Is that French?" I laughed.
"It's beautiful French girl name. And don't laugh. I think it's perfect for our baby girl."
"What makes you so sure it's a girl?" We giggled together.
"I'm not, but I hoping it is."
"Okay, how about this. If it's a girl, we name her Kathiana Melenia DePoll. And for a boy we name him Enzo-"
"Enzo Bastien DePoll." He finished my sentence.
"I like. I just love the name Enzo." I smiled and imagined.
"I come to think that The Vampire Diaries is taking you away from me. Enzo is like more your boyfriend than me." I laughed and pushed his chest a bit.
"What? Are you jealous of a fictional character?"
"No, no way. I was just saying that-"
"That you're jealous of a fictional character. Just admit it Twan. You're jealous." I poked him and annoyed with him.
"I'm not jealous. I am not." He pecked my lips. "You know, this child is going to be the most beautiful baby of the planet. She or he." He started me dead in the eyes. "It's going to be talking French right off the bat. Their first word is going to be in French. I just know it."
"Yeah sure. Maybe we should just move to France where it can speak fully French and then learn English along the way." I said sarcastically.
"That's a fantastic idea! But we can't move to France. Aidan's here. So I'll teach our baby to speak French. Don't need school for them. It has me. I'll be the teacher."
"Oh will you now? You're going to be a stay at home teacher dad now?"
"Yeah, why not." He joked.
"You're too funny." I kissed him. "I'm going to take a shower."
"Am I invited?" He winked.
"No, I'm going to take a nice quiet shower to myself. But you can get the bed ready if you want. Maybe we can watch a movie tonight."
"Fine, but I get to pick the movie." He shouted.
