《His Unknown Child》Chapter 6: Days Gone By

Today's Saturday. Finally it's time for my date. Hayden's picking me up here and I still have to get ready.

I ran to the closet and looked through all the stuff I brought. What can I wear to a date?

A dress? Totally. Skirt? Sometimes. Jeans? No way. Shorts? No.

I decided to pick a dress.

I'm ready and I have everything I need. I have ten minutes to spare, which is perfect.

Suddenly I hear a knock on the door.

I ran up to it. Slip my hands on my hands just in case. Check my lipgloss quickly and open the door to see a very attractive man.

"Liking the view princess." His British accent covered the silence.

I forgot to tell you. Hayden's from England. If you didn't catch that.

"Yes, I am actually." I tried saying in a British accent.

"We can work on your accent. But for now, speak English. I like it when you do." I blushed and I grabbed his hand and we walked to his car. Let's see where he takes me, and where this night will end up.

"Aidan, where are you?" Right now I was playing hide and seek with the little monster. He's actually very good.

Ugh, this being a dad is frickin killing me. I'm so tired. But not tired enough where I just sleep without my son by me.

"Boo!!" I jumped and went over the couch. I hit my head on the floor and hit my toe on the coffee table. Which hurt like a mother trucker.

"Alright little man. You win." I got up but Aidan went on my back.

"Piggy back ride." He squealed and I chuckled.

"Fine." I then carefully got up with him on my back and zoomed through the place like an airplane.

Then I heard a knock on the door.

I zoomed past everything to the door and opened it only to catch eyes with someone I thought I would never see again.

"Hi Ashton." My eyes widen. Why would she be here? Last time I saw her was in highschool.

"Lilly?" She rolled her eyes.

"Yes Ashton. It's Lilly." I squinted again. This has to be a joke.

"Why are you here?" I asked. I felt Aidan rub my head.

"I decided to come see some old high school friends." I chuckled. There had to be a catch.

"We weren't ever friends." She nodded and looked at Aidan.

"Is this your brother?" I never had a brother.

"No, I've never had a brother." Her mouth dropped and she looked speechless. Good, she should be.

"Babysitting?" She tried saying. I don't think she wants to believe that this is my child.

"No, this is my son. Aidan." Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped even more. What's wrong? You wanted to have my children?

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize you have a son." I raised an eyebrow.

"I know you didn't. I didn't either?" Her face was full of confusion. "I'm so gonna regret this, come inside." She nodded her head and walked to the couch and sat down.

"I changed. I don't do what I use to anymore." I nodded, not believe half of it.

"When me and Charlie were dating. We did something that could or could not change out lives. One day Charlie came to my house to tell me something. But I was caught cheating. I never found out what she wanted to tell me. From that day on, Charlie moved and switched schools. She broke up with me and never talked to me ever again." I took a breath. "Awhile ago I saw Charlie at the store. And she had this little boy. She told me everything. That little boy was my son. The day she came over, was when she was gonna tell me about my child." I took Aidan from my shoulders and set him in my lap.

"So you were fifteen?" I nodded.

"Ya, but never found out until three years." But I'm just glad I get to see him now.

"Where's Charlie." Lilly does seem like she changed. But this is only half of what I see. There's a whole other wall to break down.

"She's went to a college trip. To check out if she likes it." I explained.

"Anywhere near here?" Sadly no.

"No, I think she went to Europe or France. I kind of forgot." I heard her giggle. Damn, never heard that sound in awhile.

"Daddy?" Aidan said and looked at Lilly.

"Yes bud?" I asked him, but already knowing what he's gonna ask.

"Who is this girl?" I grinned. Maybe he shouldn't know my friends or fellow high school people.

"This is Lilly." Lilly waved at him and he just stared at her then hid his face in my chest. "He's sometimes shy. Otherwise he's a total gentleman." Lilly nodded and check her gold watch that's on her wrist.

"I should head out. Maybe we can arch up sometime?" You know what?

"Ya, sure." I said and she left. That was actually kind of awkward and plain weird.

"Daddy, I'm hungry." I chuckled and walked to the kitchen with Aidan following me.

"What do you want?" He ran to the cabinet and handed me on spaghetti-o.

"Alright then." I grabbed two bowls and opened the can.

Putting a little bit in Aidan's, knowing that he'll be full after five bites. And the rest in my bowl.

I heated hem up in the microwave and handed Aidan's his.

"Here you go buddy." I handed him the bowl with a spoon.

"Thanks daddy." I smiled and started eating mine.

"We have to go grocery shopping buddy." He stared at me with those big eyes. They were just like mine. And yet, they still are.

"I'm full." Yep, takes five bites and says he's full. That means I get leftovers.

More food for daddy. Yay. You heard the sarcasm there.

After I finished mine and Aidan's, I put my shoes on and Aidan did the same. I grabbed my keys and wallet. Made see my phones with me and we headed out the door.

I buckled Aidan in and drove off to the store.

"Alright buddy, what do we need?" I said as I walked down the snack isle.

"Fruit snacks." I chuckle and grabbed some Scooby-Doo fruit snacks.

"Excuse me." An old women tapped on my shoulder.

"Sorry." I moved out of the way; but she shook her head.

"How old are you young man." Here we go again.

"Eighteen ma'am. Almost nineteen." She nodded and looked at Aidan. I hate it wen people do this.

"And who's this handsome young boy." I smiled at the thought. But remembered what she might say.

"This is Aidan. Also known as my son." She nodded and smiled. Aidan looked pretty shy. Sometimes he's always happy to see new people.

"What a lovely name for a handsome young man. He's so nice. You raised him well so far. Make sure you grow up just like your daddy." He nodded and the women left.

That went unexpectedly.

"Well then." I looked at Aidan who just shrugged.

We continued our little hunt for food. It was actually quite fun. Aidan had a blast. Maybe we should he grocery shopping more often.

We were at the check out line and I was waiting for the lady to give me my total.

All the bags were in the cart, along with Aidan.

"You're total is one-hundred dollars and seventy-three cents." I fished for a hundred dollar bill in my wallet and that's all I had.

I have her two one-hundred dollar bills and her ace went shock. She gave me my change and we left.

"Daddy?" Aidan asked as we were putting the groceries in the trunk of y car.

"Yes Aidan." I said.

"How much money did you give that lady?" I chuckled. He's too young to know. I would just be happy that I don't have to play. But I do, not

"Two-hundred dollars." His eyes widened and mouth dropped.

"That's a lot of money." I nodded and buckled him in.

"Yes, but that's part of life." You're probably wondering why I haven't been at work. I took a few weeks off. But I'll be starting up again in two weeks. I'll probably being Aidan with or have my mom see him.

Oh my Jinxx, my mother hasn't seen Aidan yet.

I quickly called her.

"Oh hi dear." Her sweet lovely voice said.

"Hey mom, come to my apparent right now. I have the best surprise ever for you. You'll love." She said ok and she's on her way.

Ten minutes later the door knocked.

"Ready to meet grandma?" Aidan jumped up and down and I picked him up. I then opened the door and my mom's face lite up.

"Is this Aidan?" I nodded and she took him from me.

And from this minutes my mom said she's staying over here for three nights. Just invite yourself mom.

At least she's the grandma. She can spoil the living shit out of Aidan. I know she's gonna.

I also wonder what Charlie would think if Aidan met his other grandma.

We will never know until Charlie calls tonight.
