《His Unknown Child》Chapter 5: Father Like Son

The next morning I woke up without a jumping Aidan. That's strange, and it's very quite up here.

"I got out of bed, looked at the clock, ten-thirty, and walked to Aidan's room.

When I got in his room, he wasn't there. He's not here.

I ran downstairs yelling his name.

"Aidan!!" I shouted. "Aidan baby, where are you. Come on baby, you're scaring daddy." Once I reached the living room, I saw my mom and Aidan. Oh thank god. I sighed.

My mom looked up at me and smiled. "Don't worry daddy, Aidan's not going anywhere, anytime soon." He continued to play Legos with Aidan.

"It's just he usually jumps on me in the morning. I was scared because he wasn't jumping, and he wast in his room." I explained. I'm still a little freaked out. My heart is pounding. Literally.

"So, how come you never told me that you were keeping Aidan for three months while Charlie's in France?" I gulped. Oops...

"I forgot." It was the best excuse I had.

"You tend to forget lots of things. I bet you're gonna forget Aidan in the grocery store one day." My eyes widened. How dare she.

"I would never forget my son. Ever." Se put her hands up in surrender and stood up.

"Aidan let's go make breakfast." Aidan smiled and hugged me first then went in the kitchen with grandma.

"Oh, hey grandma." I mocked my mother.

"Don't you dare Ashton. Only Aidan can call me that." I smirked. How about, no.

"Grandma, grandma, grandma. You're a grandma." I teased. Hey, she scared me half to death when she took Aidan.

"Ashton James Burns." He yelled.

"Shhh, don't want to wake Mr. Sleepy." I pointed to a sleeping Aidan. He sat in a chair with his arms crossed on the table and his head on top of his arms.

"He was just awake minutes ago." Mom said.

"Not no more." I chuckled and picked him up carefully and quietly.

"You're just around the corner Ashton. Soon you'll be my age and this will be Aidan with his son or daughter." The one thing that she forgot, I'm not gonna be one if those really old parents when he's eighteen.

"Mom, when Aidan's eighteen, I'll be thirty-three." I smirked and she sighed.

"So young. I had you when I was twenty." She sighed again.

"That's still pretty young. You just got out of your teen years." She nodded and rubbed Aidan's head.

"I have to get going. I'll be back maybe tomorrow. You're a pretty good father for only just getting in his life. Three years of not knowing about your child, your a darn good father." I side hugged her because Aidan was in my arms, then I kissed her cheek.

"Thanks mom." She kissed my head and left. Nap time for this little one. He's gonna be up all night now.

It's been a few days, and I'm loving it here. Even though it's just a tour to see how much I love. It amazing here. Everything just beautiful and amazing. Everyone doesn't even care if you had a child at fifteen or so. They just care if you're yourself.

"Woah." I squealed and fell to the ground. I looked up to see a very attractive boy.

"I'm so sorry, here." He pulled out his hand and helped me back up.

"Hey, no, it's fine. It's my fault too." I rubbed by arm.

"I'm Hayden." He shook me hand.

"Charlie." I responded.

"Cool name for a beautiful girl like you." I blushed. Dammit.

"Thanks, and Hayden fits your looks too." He chuckled.

"Ya. So I was wondering. Would you like to hang out later today?" What should I say? The hell I say?

"Ya, sure. I'd like that." Just breathe. He's just a guy that wants to hang out. Maybe be friends. Calm down.

"Here's my number. How about we meet up at Paris Coffee?" His eyes are so dreamy- What wait?

"Uh, ya. How about at four?" Really? Four in the afternoon for coffee? What's wrong with me?

"That works for me. I'll see you at four Charlie." I smiled.

"You too Hayden." After that I walked back to my hotel, thinking about Hayden. He has brown hair that goes over his eyes a bit. His eyes are a piercing hazel. His lips are full, but not too big. His jawbone is straight as a pole. Ok, maybe not a pole. He's perfect. Hayden's kind, and hot. Damn.

When I reached my hotel room I went straight into my closet. What should I wear? It's one now, that gives me three hours. Is that even enough time?

I pulled out skirts, dresses, shorts, and pants. Tank tops, long sleeves, short sleeves, and blouses

Should I wear my short shorts with a red blouse? Nice blue jeans with a short sleeve and a jacket? Skirt with tank top? Dress? Ugh!

After like twenty minutes picking an outfit, I decided on nice blue jeans with a red blouse and golden sandals.

I painted my toes a light red color, along with my nails. I decided to straighten my hair and put on golden, smoky makeup. Clear lip gloss and a little bit of blush.

Ten minutes left, perfect timing. I grabbed my wallet and phone and stuffed them in my back pockets.

Paris Coffee is a few blocks away from the hotel. So I'm gonna walk.

I make it to the coffee place and find Hayden sitting outside with a coffee in his hand and another one across from him.

"Hey." I said and he jumped a bit.

"Dang, you scared me." He smiled and I smirked.

"Good." I said and sat across from him.

"You look beautiful." He winked.

"I know that's why I wore this."

"Aren't you all sassy." I blushed. Why do I always have to do this? "Aw, I made her blush again. Sweetheart, don't be nervous. I'm all yours." What did he mean by that?

"Ok, so..." I didn't know what to ask him. I was still thinking about what we said.

"How about twenty questions? I'll ask twenty first, then you." I nodded and he began.

"How old are you?"

"18." I said and he smirked.

"Your favorite color."

"Purple." He smirked again.

"Where are you from?"

"Ohio." What's with all the smirking?

"Are you single?"

"Yes." I think I know why he asked that one.

"Do you like long term relationships or short?" Tricky.

"Long." It depends on the guy.

"Favorite types of movie?" Easy.

"Horror." My favorite of all time. But I can't watch horror as often as I use to. Since I have Aidan- oh shit, he doesn't even know I have a son. Shit.

"Do you want any kids in the future, and if so, how many?" This is the moment where he's not gonna like me anymore.

"Actually, I have a kid." I mumbled and looked down.

"Hey, don't be ashamed. I'm not judging. I don't mind that you have a child. Next question. Tell me about your kid." I smiled and Hayden smiled back. I think he cares.

"My son's name is Aidan Darren Burns. He's three." He smiled even wider.

"Don't worry, I actually love children. I had four brothers and six sisters. I fight with them, but since I'm the second oldest, I had to help out with the other babies." He is such a kind person.

"Wow, and thank you for understanding." He nodded and continued.

He finished almost all of the questions but one. I wonder what he's gonna ask me.

"Last question. What do you want to know?" He took a deep breath.

"Will you go on a date with me?" I was shocked with his words. A guy like him wants to go on a date with the girl who had a baby when she was fifteen. Does he really want to?

"Are you sure?" He furrowed his eyebrows.

"I'm very sure. I don't care if you have a kid. I had a kid when I was sixteen." He stopped and I was confused.

"Hayden?" I asked/said.

"My daughter Emma Hazel Pierce died when she was two weeks old. Due to breathing problems." Tears were forming in my eyes now. That's horrible.

"Hayden, you didn't have to bring that up." He shook his head.

"I needed to get that out of my system. So, how about that date?" I smiled, but still was very sad about his daughter.

"Yes." He looked up and smiled.

"Great, how about Saturday? This coming up one. I can pick you up at your place?" I nodded and wrote down the hotel address and my room number.

"So-" He cut my off but kissing my cheek.

"Yes, I'll see you Saturday." I smiled and when I was about to turn around, he was gone. This is the most best times of my life, besides Aidan.

I hope this will work out. I really like Hayden. To think about it, his name rhymes his Aidan.

But if we do hit it off, the only problem I'll have is Ashton. I bet he wouldn't want any man besides him around Aidan. He won't want Aidan to call Hayden "dad" too.

Great, my life is perfect, but yet confusing.
