Prerna was in opd ... many patients came for antenatal checkup's.. tere was one case of nipple discharge... she did the clinical examination.. hard lump found ..the patient for USG suggestive of Tumor and trucut was done and Ductal carcinoma in situ was diagnosed ... patient was terrified by listening word cancer ... it was very hard for Prerna to console her and explain her that this cancer has very good prognosis and chances of metastasis is very less since it is in situ the tumor cells cannot cross basement membrane.. she explained her that she had to go for a simple breast conservative surgery ... patient was transferred to surgery department ...

nivi was in labor today, nivi and Anupam,diya (Prerna best friend who had recently transferred ... she is in medicine department)meet Prerna at lunch time ... Anurag couldn't join them because he had lined up surgery's and barely had time to eat . Nivi was cautious and did not tease Prerna in college and had fun chat with them at lunch

Anurag was in ot and has 3 cesarean in which one was emergence case of twin delivery, section, 2 cases of hysterectomy and damm boy was really exhausted .he didn't have time for lunch so have chocopie in break between surgery..his duties were over by 6 and ... he went directly at home to freshen up and messaged Prerna

Her reply came after half and hour

He freshen up and wore simple white shirt and blue jeans and went to her house

Prerna was ready and waiting for him .. and was wearing black Dress with black and white sneakers ..she rarely wore heels

Anurag came and said hi and was mesmerised by looking her ... suddenly grumbling sound came which was from his stomach begging him to eat .. his ears turn red by embarrassment

Prerna asked "did you have lunch?"raising her eyebrow looking amused

He replied "no there were lined up surgeries today so got carried away "

By now amused look was gone and Prerna was glaring him .. nevertheless asked him to come inside and sit and went to kitchen and gave him mango desert which she made for her midnight snack and ordered him to eat

He took it and was devouring the taste of milk coconut mango's and loved it ..he never has such amazing desert .. and was really happy that Prerna care for him

After he finished she asked him what he will eat for dinner .. he said we should go out for it and winked

She smiled and told him "you should have lunch on time to work efficiently ... if you don't have time to go to canteen inform me or nivi ... I have food stocked in locker .. how could you work without food.. I can't even concentrate without food "and she suddenly realised what she blurted

Anurag mumbled cute which she heard it and blushed slightly

The ride was with comfortable silence with music playing on radio

They went to garden restaurant where Anurag has reservations

They ordered sweet corn soup, noodles and spring rolls

He cleared his throat suddenly feeling awkward to start

He started "Prerna I want you to be comfortable with me as my companion... I want you to be my best friend first and to share everything with you .."

"Yes Anurag I understand we are really good friends it won't be difficult for us I guess.. i don't know what future holds we trust me I have agreed to this relationship with means I will be completely honest with you and trust you and will expect same from you "

"I know Prerna I promise to be honest with you and I really trust you..I know we don't love each other yet ... but I ...like you... you know what is love ?"

She stared at him , indicating him to continue

"Yes Prerna , suppose I am light and you are rainbow... tell me what is rainbow "

Prerna-"rainbow is from from reflection ,refraction and dispersion effect of light in rain droplets resulting in spectrum of light "

"Which means you agree rainbow is light, right"

"Which means love is like light when two people with different bodies but share Same emotions, feelings and experiences and which means it doesn't happen suddenly it takes years to love someone .. and people says na love at fist side is not really love it is infatuation "

His words really touched her heart... she was admiring him .. how deep his thoughts are and she today understood meaning of true love where people in love can't hurt each because kudko kon hurt karta hai (no one does self destruction )

Respect for him was incredibly increased

She blushed and dramatically said taking a rose from the flower vase and giving him"will be be my light "

He accepted the Rose , and can't help blushing his cheeks were flushed ...
