"Woooah." Sam said as everyone came into the house. "Be careful, the floorboards are weak." I warned as Colby came up to me. "That was hot as fuck." He said as I grinned.
"That's me, the hottest girl you'll ever meet." I said with a laugh as he kissed me. "Damn straight." He said as I giggled and turned away so I could explore.
I made sure to keep mind of where Sam was with the camera so I wouldn't be caught. I walked towards the dining room, where there were plates set out as if someone was about to serve dinner.
A chill ran down my spine at the thought of someone setting the table but never serving it because they were murdered.
That's apparently what happened here. The son who lived here went crazy and shot his entire family one night. He was never caught which was scary to think about.
I turned and looked towards the china cabinet. The dishes inside of the dusty case were still in perfect condition which gave me an eerie vibe. As I turned to walk back to the main living room I saw Sam walking into this room with the camera.
I quickly dropped to the floor and crawled under the table so he could film the room without seeing me. I didn't like the feeling I was getting though as I watched the guys walk around, only seeing their feet.
It felt like I was in a movie and they were murderers looking for me as I hid under the table.
"Woah, this is so cool." Sam said as he walked up to the china cabinet. "It's crazy that the dishes look brand new." Colby said as a chill ran down my spine.
I felt someone next to me as the air shifted completely. I felt someone wrap their hand around my head to cover my mouth, "shhh..He's coming." I heard someone whisper next to me causing me to jerk and let out a short, muffled scream.
"Violet?! Where is she?" Colby asked frantically as I scurried out from under the table. "HOLY SHIT!" Jake yelled and held his chest as he heaved in a breath.
"Why were you under the table?" Sam asked as Colby came over to hug me as I trembled. "You guys were trying to film, I didn't want to be in the way." I said and closed my eyes, trying to get my heartbeat back to normal.

"You don't have to do that, V. We can just edit any parts that you're in out..why did you scream though?" Colby asked as he brushed my hair behind my ear.
"I heard something." I said quietly then crouched down to look under the table, expecting to see someone down there.
There was nobody though.
"What do you mean?" Sam asked as I sighed, "I was getting a little freaked out because it felt like a horror movie with you guys circling the table with me under it. Then it felt like someone wrapped their hand around my mouth and told me to be quiet because he was coming." I said as a chill ran down my spine.
"Dude, I just got chills." Corey said and held his arm up, showing us the goosebumps that riddled his arm.
"Who was coming though?" Sam asked as I shook my head. "No idea." I said then chewed on my lip. "It was probably just in my head though...let's just move on, I'll stay out of frame." I mumbled then walked towards the living room again.
Colby grabbed my arm, stopping me from walking. "Are you sure you're okay?" He asked as I nodded. "I'm fine, like I said, I was just freaking myself out I think." I said with a shrug as I smiled at him reassuringly.
"Alright..." Colby said apprehensively as I turned to go towards the living room. I wanted to look at the book case to see if I could find anything about what happened in this house.
The guys continued filming in the kitchen of the house as I ran my fingers along the dusty books. I decided on the rusty red colored one that was on the end.
The spine of the book crackled as I opened it, skimming the pages. It was an old book about plants, which might have been interesting but not what I was looking for. I huffed out a breath then put it back.
I repeated this process with each book until I pulled out the last one. It was a dictionary, which didn't mean much to me. I sighed then went to put it back but scrunched my brow as I saw a small leather book shoved in the back of the shelf.
I carefully set the dictionary on the ground as I reached for the book. There was no title on the withered book but it looked like it could have been a journal of some sort.

As I went to open it I felt someone behind me, "What are you looking at?" Colby asked as I jumped and gasped loudly.
"You scared me!" I yelled as my hand flew to my chest. "Sorry! I thought you would hear the creaky floorboards and know I was coming." He said and pointed to the book, "What's that?" He asked as I shrugged.
"I don't know..I think it's a journal." I said then went to go open it. Most of the pages were blank but there were a few with random words on each page, none of them really making sense.
"What does that mean?" I asked myself as I skimmed the pages. "You should show Sam...for the video." I said then handed him the book. "I'm sorry you can't be a part of it.." He said quietly as I smiled sadly.
"Some people just have to be mean, even when it's not necessary." I said then brought my hand to his cheek. "You're handling it like a champ though." He said as I smiled. "It's not the first time someone has been mean to me." I said with a laughed then turning him around.
"Go show Sam." I said then pushed him gently so he could go show Sam. Before he could walk away though the guys were walking back into the room. I backed up and hid against the wall as best as I could so it would be easier to edit me out.
"Hey man, look at this." Colby said and held the journal up. "Woah, what is that?" Sam asked as he came over to take the book from Colby. "V-I found it." He said as Sam skimmed through the pages.
"This doesn't make any sense." Sam said as Corey filmed the guys. I watched them as I tried to go through the words in my bed.
Three stairs.
Board.
622.
Key.
Roger.
What did that mean?
I quickly pulled my phone out and tried to google this house, to find out more about the murder.
After a couple minutes of searching I found an article with a picture of the house we were in. I let my eyes skim through the page as the guys walked off to a different room.
Three people were murdered in the house by Richard Derson. The victims were all asleep when Richard went insane and shot them. He started off with his parents, Nancy and Ron Derson. The gunshot was so loud it woke Suzy Dereon, causing her to hide in the kitchen. Richard however found her within minutes and brutally murdered her in the dining room. Nobody knows the whereabouts of Richard or of his brother Roger.
Roger.
"Holy shit." I mumbled then started making my way towards the guys. I suddenly didn't feel comfortable being alone as it felt like eyes were on me. I shivered then picked up the pace, as I trembled with fear.
I only took a couple steps before my foot fell through a weak part in the floor causing me to yelp in pain.
"Fuuuuck." I groaned and pulled my leg out, noticing it was cut up by the splintered wood. I hissed and pulled my shoe off so I could wrap the wound with my long sock.
"Violet, are you okay?" Corey asked as he came in, watching me fuck with my ankle. " I fell through." I said and pointed to the hole in the floor.
"Oh shit. Are you okay?" He asked and came over to help me. "Yeah, it just stings a little, no biggie." I said then reached up so he could help me up. "Alright..well we are going upstairs. Come on." He said and linked his arm through mine.
I walked with him towards the stairs as Sam, Colby, and Jake reviewed the footage. "There you are, what were you up to?" Colby asked as I shrugged, "Researching..can I see that book again?" I asked as held my hand out.
"Yeah." Sam said and handed it to me. I skimmed through the pages and reread each word carefully, trying to understand what they meant.
"What are you looking for?" Colby asked as I let out a breath, "The guy who murdered everyone had a brother that wasn't killed..Roger." I said and pointed to the scribbled writing that was in the book. "Where is he now?" Sam asked as I shrugged.
"I don't know...but I want to find out."
