"Hey Vi-oooh...who's your friend?" Chad asked as he walked over to our table. "Chad..this is Colby." I said as his eyebrows shot up to his hairline.
"Like...LA Colby?" He asked as Colby chuckled, "That's me. It's nice to meet you." Colby said and smiled at Chad. "Holy shit, Vi. You didn't mention the fact that he's hot as fuck." Chad said as I sucked in a breath and looked at him with wide eyes.
"I didn't have the chance to between all of the tears, now did I?" I asked as Colby frowned. "Guess not, anyways you want your regular?" He asked as I nodded.
"What's your regular?" Colby asked as I shrugged, "Crispy chicken salad with ranch." I said with a shrug. "I'll have that too." He said then smiled at me as Chad swooned. "Bye, Chad." I said as he chuckled and walked away.
"So you come here a lot?" Colby asked as I nodded, "Daisy and I would come all the time." I said quietly as he frowned. "She still hasn't talked to you?" He asked as I shook my head. "No. Not even a text..I keep meaning to go on her fan page just to make sure she's alive. I can't really go online still." I said with a sigh.
"I'm sorry about that..I know the fans are being ruthless still." Colby said as I nodded slowly. "It's okay, I don't appreciate the death threats, especially when I've been so low but I'm a big girl, I can take it." I said with a small smile.
"I'm gonna address it when the video comes out." He said as I nodded. "Do you mind looking up Daisy's account?" I asked quietly as he gave me a soft smile and pulled his phone out. "Do you know her @?" I asked as he nodded.
I watched as his face dropped, "Has she not posted?" I asked nervously as he shook his head. "She's alive." He said as I scrunched my brow and grabbed his phone from him. "Violet...I don't think-" Colby started but I didn't hear him finish as I zoned in on her tweets.

Violet is disgusting. We used to be friends but she stole Colby from me.
Colby and I were really hitting it off before Violet came in, she literally stole him.
Everyone sending Violet death threats gives me so much life.
I locked the phone and handed it back to him. "Violet, what she's saying isn't true. She's a shitty person." He said as I nodded. "I know." I said as Chad set our salads down.
"Do you want me to block her? I will." Colby said as I breathed a laugh. "No, that would just start more unnecessary drama. It's fine." I said and smiled reassuringly at him as I put my dressing on my salad.
"You're amazing." He said as I shrugged. "Far from it." I said with a laugh and started eating. "No, really. You're amazing." He said as I chuckled. "Well, thank you." I said as he smiled a brilliant smile.
We finished up dinner then made our way back to my apartment. "Did you want to stay here?" I asked quietly as I unlocked the door. "I have a hotel room, but I can stay here if you want." He said as I chewed my lip. "I don't like being alone." I said as he grinned. "I'll stay here, don't worry." He said then grabbed my wrist.
"Colby..." I mumbled as he pulled me into him, wrapping his arms around my waist, "What are we doing?" I asked as he swayed with me, dancing to imaginary music. "We're dancing." He said with a laugh as I rested my head on his chest.
"No, I mean..we know this isn't going to work..why are we setting ourselves up for heartbreak?" I asked as we danced in the living room. "We're not. You're coming with me to LA." He said as I pulled away.
"I never said that." I said then turned towards the drawer I kept my weed in. "I know, but I'm gonna convince you." He said as I grabbed a blunt and lighter. "Do you smoke weed?" I asked and gestured to the blunt in my hand. "Yeah." He said as I nodded. "Come on, then," I said and opened the door to the patio.

"It's so cold out here." Colby grumbled as he sat down in one of the chairs. "Oh yeah, LA boy isn't used to the cold." I said as I looked up at the snow flurries. "Shut up. How are you only in a sweater, you're insane." He said as I shook my head.
"I'm numb to the cold, dork." I said and lit the blunt. I loved how comfortable I was around him already. I didn't feel sad, I felt safe.
I chuckled as he shivered against the cold breeze.
I stood up and walked over to him, sitting on his lap. "Are you gonna warm me up?" He asked as I chuckled and put the blunt to his lips as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
We sat and smoked together as the snow started falling a little harder. "It really is beautiful out here." Colby said and looked up towards the mountains. "It is." I said quietly and rested my head on his shoulder.
"I've never really had a lot of snow like this." He said as I looked up. "Really? I grew up with it. I've always loved how silent it was when it snowed." I said and closed my eyes. "Does it make you happy?" Colby asked as I nodded.
"Do I make you happy?" He asked as I leaned up to look at him. "Yeah, you do." I said quietly. "Perfect." He said then grabbed my face and kissed me.
I melted into him, lacing my fingers through his hair as he deepened the kiss causing me to moan slightly.
I couldn't help the butterflies that were erupting in my stomach as he pulled me into him so my body would be flush against his.
We made out for a while before I pulled back. "Let's go inside." I said and yawned, then stood up. He stood up then followed me inside.
"Did you want to watch a movie or something?" Colby asked as I nodded, "Yeah. Let me just get changed." I said then turned towards my bedroom.
When I walked into the bedroom I walked towards the closet and grabbed a pair of sweats. As I got dressed I noticed something sticking out from under my desk.
There was a piece of paper that was sticking out of one of my drawers that I never noticed.
I finished getting dressed then walked over to the paper, pulling it out. A chill ran down my spine as I opened it.
It was a bank statement from the savings account I had that had the money my parents passed down to me. I hadn't touched that account since the died so there was still about $30,000 in it.
I didn't want to touch it because they worked hard for their money. I would feel horrible if I wasted it on something that I could just work hard to get myself.
Why would this paper show up randomly though? Was this a sign from my parents to go with Colby to LA.
We're they telling me to follow my heart again?
I shook my head then set the paper down and walked out to the living room. My heart skipped a beat seeing Colby sitting on my couch.
I still couldn't wrap my mind around him being here and him still wanting me. I couldn't figure out why he would choose me when there were thousands of people who would be happy with him.
"What did you want to watch?" Colby asked as he opened his arms for me to cuddle into him. "Whatever you want. I'll probably fall asleep 5 seconds into it." I admitted as he chuckled.
"You tired?" He asked as I nodded. "Exhausted." I mumbled as he sorted through Netflix. "I'll put on Nailed It so we can fall asleep and not miss anything important." Colby said then put it on and threw a blanket over us.
He held me tightly as we watched the show, but I only lasted one episode before I drifted off.
Before I fell asleep though I took in my surroundings, really enjoying this moment.
I wanted to savor it because I didn't know how long it would last.

We Weren't Acting
Warning this book is rough. Not edited. We wanted privacy. We wanted a normal relationship with no high expectations. But that's hard when you have a whole fan base keeping tabs on your relationship. With that comes no privacy and very high expectations.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "I know you weren't acting just then," his voice rumbles, as he whispers in my ear, making sure all the cameramen around us are distracted."I know you were thinking of me when 'Oliver' was rubbing your thigh," he says while kissing my earlobe quickly and secretly so no one can see. I let out a small gasp knowing he's right. I was supposed to be in character, acting in the moment with 'Oliver', not Chris. "I know you wish we weren't in this room, with all these damn people.
