《The Owl House: Wolfwalkers on the Boiling Isles》Part 1: The Guest Speaker

About a week or two after rescuing Eda from Emperor Belos's clutches, and Lillith officially living at the Owl House, Luz has now become a teacher for both the Clawthorne sisters, after Eda had lost all use of her magic.
And that's what she is doing right now, teaching both Eda and Lillith how to use Glyph Magic. Which turns out to be difficult for Eda. "Man kid, the more you do this, the more it feels like I'm in school." She complained. "Aww, come on, Eda. Don't be like that. Here," Luz shows her mentor a plant glyph, "Which glyph is this one?" "I don't know kid. A wired looking arrow?" "Plant glyph." "Luz, maybe we should stop for awhile." said Lillith. "We'll get back to it later." "I guess a little break won't hurt." Luz agreed, while Eda was relieved. "Finally. I don't think I could bare another lesson of this paper magic." "Look on the bright side, at least it's a type of magic you can use, since your bike sac is basically... Out of fuel." King pointed out. "For once, the demon is right." Lillith replied. Luz was checking the time on her phone. It was that time to be heading to school. "Oh, look at the time. Gotta go. Don't wanna be late." "Since, when did you decided not to be late for school?" asked King. "Since my friends told me yesterday that there's gonna be a guest speaker today. Anyways, gotta run!" And with that, Luz was off.
As Eda turned to her sister, she noticed something. Lillith had a couple of feathers in her hair. "Hey Lilly, is it just me, or do I see feathers in your hair." Lillith notices the feathers too, and covers them up in her hair. "What. No, you're seeing things." "Are you sure you're not hiding something from me?" Lillith gave a stare back at her. "Okay then, suit yourself." As Eda left the room.

A few minutes after Luz and her friends met up, they were already in class, as they are now in history. That's when the teacher spoke, "Alright class. Today, we're gonna have a guest speaker here to talk about a specific being that is rumored to lurk in the deepest forests of the Isles. Everyone, I present you, The Demon Hunters." The group of demon hunters then entered the door, with a good expression on their faces. Luz, Gus, and Willow however, seem to be surprised. As their last encounter with them, didn't go so well "Hello there, children. We are glad to be here today, to talk about the most rumored being on the Boiling Isles. A being so rare, and so dangerous, that no one really talks about them at all. And they are known as the dreaded... Wolfwalkers!" "Wolfwalkers?" Willow said. " I heard about them once." "What's a Wolfwalker?" Luz asked. Just as one of the Demon Hunters starts speaking again. "These beasts are known as Wolfwalkers. A being that has the ability to talk to wolves, and can heal anything with some wild magic!" Luz seems to be intrigued by this, and continues listening. "There are even rumors that they can turn into wolves when they are asleep." "They don't sound so bad." said Gus. "Not bad, huh. Well, let me answer that for ya. Beware you all, never try to get bitten by one. If so, you become a Wolfwalker yourself." Gus immediately gulped and sat back down in fear. "They really do sound dangerous." "But like everyone says, it's just a myth. No one has even seen a Wolfwalker. And that's all the time we have." The class then gave a round of applause, as the hunters bowed.

Awhile later, Luz and the gang, including Amity, were in the cafeteria having lunch. "So... Wolfwalkers, huh?" questioned Amity. "Yea, their basically these people who can turn to wolves when they sleep. Cool, huh?" said Luz. "Yea." Amity replied. "So, what are your plans for after school on Friday?" Gus asked. "Well, Eda and Lillith are gonna go sister bonding all weekend." said Luz. "So, if you want, you could come over and hang out." "Sorry Luz, I'm all full on my schedule." Willow mentioned. "Me too." followed up Gus. "Amity? What about you?" Amity was blushing a little bit. "Ummm. Uhhh... Sure, I guess." "Okay then, see ya then, girlfriend!" That made Amity's face brighten up red. "It was an expression. In a cool way." said Luz, which made Amity's face go back to her normal color.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

Human in a Demon's Hide
I had recently enrolled in the military as a lowly footsoldier. Oh, before you could proceed any further, let me tell you about myself. I ain’t some patriotic soldier that’ll lay down my life for the sake of my country. Hell no! That shit is for the people with loose screws! I had only a few goals when I joined the army: March into battle, kick ass, and earn me some cash! Achieving glory on the way wouldn’t hurt. I just need the money to feed my little brother and sister. Their world is all I want to protect. The glory is for washing clean the stains that my father left on the family name. We became such a joke in the country that our mother abandoned us. I don’t know if he really did betray the country, but I don’t care. For my little siblings to suffer the same mockery and humiliation that I did is unacceptable! To protect the smiles of my only family, I would do anything. Yet, life knows to shit on you when things are just getting good. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, author-san here! This is my first story, set up in a fantasy world. It's based on the medieval and steam era where magic is rare and alchemy is used widely used as a weapon by people. There would be lots of action, adventure, betrayal, tragedy, romance, etc. ahead. Warnings-The mc is a bit mean and foul-mouthed, introvert. There would be strong language and lots of monologue narration by the MC. The stories are fast-paced and progressing faster. The chapters update would be unstable, depending on my daily life. You would get fast updates... or slow. Also, English isn't my first language. So don't expect perfect grammar :( P.S. - I would like some constructive critique and feedback! It fills my motivation gauge and increases that rate of chapter/week. (/>3
