《Annyeong, Soojin! [Ateez Fanfiction] ✓》28 - Epilogue

It's been long...

And it has been long since I came here on earth to serve my client and fulfil my duty as The Ninth Solitaire.

Throughout this journey, you've heard me complaining how much I wanted this mission to end faster so that I could retreat back home, haven't you? How much I was worked up at Soojin's or Ateez's impotent slothlikeness in progress that was debarring me from leaving.

But today I'm calm. Today I'm not complaining.

Because today's the day I am finally retreating. Finallyyyyy!

And no, my enthusiasm may make you think I was intently waiting for this day, but now it's not like that. I could actually have left a long time ago when I was still counting my days to leave. But I didn't want to. Even though I fulfilled the missions in my client's best interests, I wanted to stay for a while and watch things unfold further on. You could say I'm curious. I have actually done this on earth a few times before, but only on a very few clients.

And that is why it's been a while since you heard me again. I mean, my mission was complete, there wasn't anything I could report to you for your entertainment.

But a lot has changed in this time span, all for the better though. Ateez rose to even more success and fame. They're living a wonderful idol life with the praises, blessings, zeal to work and talent, with balancing out hardships of the same lifestyle. Nothing out of the ordinary. Their personal life, again, is balanced. Life was just as expected. Some found a new hobby, a new way of life to look forward to, or a new area of personal interest. Some found their love, some found new friends, some found a crush, and some still obsessively crush on their favourite other senior idols that they look up to. Some experienced physical pain, some mental pain, some heartbreak and some lost their family or friend.

Again, a lot has changed. But it's still constant.

Hongjoong would still break the promise to Seonghwa of coming back early to the dorms. He still is a work addict. Seonghwa found new friends that he can now hang out with when he's bored; he and Joshua are very good friends now and the younger would often go to eat Italian at the older's restaurant.

Yunho's the same energizer that everybody knows. Mingi had some personal ups and downs but the boy is strong and currently better and stronger than ever. Yeosang found new interests and stuff as he discovered he's impeccable at that he now shows off to Atiny. And Woosan changed at all? Wooyoung became close friends with Donghyuck and Jeno. And Sooyoung is now dating Jeno.

And then my client... She's doing well too. Graduated as the batch's ace student. Currently trying to save money from the family's restaurant business to invest in other food businesses. And fame had to come her way, of course, Fate's rewards as he rewrote her destiny again just after I completed my mission.

Jongho and Soojin are in a very healthy, pure relationship. Their personality types, lifestyles and differences complement each other. It's calming to see the two together. I'm glad that it worked this way.

And I stayed. To watch the rest of these young humans' earthly journey unfold for at least a while of time that I can. And to supervise any possible mishappenings. Which I do not have to. There were times I interfered or almost interfered when there was a risk of exposal of Jongho and Soojin's relationship. My magic had to prevent some of the sasaeng fans of Ateez and lowly media reporters from doing so. It was my last gift to the couple before Fate reciprocated his disinterest in my interference. I'd have to be responsible when I reach.

There was a time when Jongho and the rest of Ateez almost decided to break the news of the maknae's relationship to the public. But that didn't happen' the couple is still a secret to the public eye. It is when I was reminded that I should have trust in my master. There, of course, would be only majorly good and happy things in my client's written destiny, otherwise, what's the point of me and my mission.

Anyway...

I'm about to leave this place. I'm leaving earth until the next time I'd be expected to work again. Before I leave' there's always this one task that I have to necessarily complete. And the onset of that task starts.... 3...2...1... now. In the next two to three minutes, this task will be completed. Fate's waiting for me back home to ensure the completion of it.

And what is this type you may ask?

In simple words, to delete the memories of me and my statue form from these humans who came across or known of it. In minutes, the existence of my statue form and the memories and theories related to it shall be completely wiped out from the brains of the antique shop owner, his grandson, my clientele and the people related to them. The theories by Soojin and Ateez of the parallel world I created will dim to just a weird dream that they happened to simultaneously have. Anyone who would think about it, talk about or listen to it would never associate it with magic to unfold the exposure of our world to humans.

These memories and more that they didn't know would return to Soojin and the boys though, and maybe they'd even meet me face to face. But that will only happen once they'd leave earth' in their afterlife.

When Fate will summon me on my signal, the statue will be summoned too, disappearing from the shop and the earth in turn. But before I give my signal, I need to say my goodbyes. I was just in the Ateez dormitory where I watched them live and living in front of me one last time. And I now transported myself here to visualize my client one last time before I go. I'm in a bedroom where Jongho nervously stands by the bed with wet hair and a bathrobe tied around his bare form. He holds a pack of contraceptives in his hand and watches it intently, probably zoned out in nervousness. When the attached bathroom door opens, he immediately throws the pack on the bed. Soojin advances towards him slowly closing the bathroom door behind her. She wears a bathrobe and looks like she just took a shower just like Jongho.

"Are you nervous, baby?" she asks her boyfriend.

Jongho gulps, but mustering up courage, he firmly says opening his arms, "Come here." And Soojin runs into his arms that he wraps around her waist, both of them looking into each other's eyes filled with love, passion and lust.

It is the day, after eight busy months of their innocent, slow-paced relationship, that Soojin and Jongho decided to take it to next level and its completeness with the deepest physical intimacy that lovers share.

Soojin cups her boyfriend's cheek and kisses him passionately, then slipping her hands down to make his own place down and press on her hips.

I'm glad. And content.

Now is when I should give them their privacy, and complete privacy to all of them from here on onwards.

Annyeong, Soojin. You will be missed.

I look up.

Fate! Now!

I feel intense pain as darkness is all I see. I can feel pain because my body is forming around my soul slowly as I transport to . I feel pain everywhere now, all bodily parts, so every part must have been returned. And when the pain completely stops and I feel very heavy, so heavy that I can't stop myself from dragging down the form, and when I feel surface on my knees and pain on my knees when it hit the hard ground, I know I've reached back home.

I open my closed eyes. There's the ground beneath me as I can see with my eyes, and my knees and hands are on it as I'm crouching down.

"Ninth Solitaire!" I hear a sweet feminine voice followed by many others' that address or welcome me. I look up to see many beautiful feminine souls and many males, all subordinates and associates of Fate along with the other two solitaires who serve him as they stand outside the abode of my master carrying their work-related things of use.

I drag my eyes to land it to the centre of the crowd, feeling the most prestigious and divine energy so familiar to me hit me from that direction instantly. There stood my tall, intimidatingly visaged master with a calm, pleasant face as he now held my statue embodiment in his arms.

"MATE! I'M BACK!!!" And I finally use my voice again after this long span of the mission.
