Your phone rang upstairs.
"...aren't you gonna get that?" Jeff asked.
"To get to my room I'd need to walk past three killers on stairs, no I'm not gonna get it" You said.
"Plus, I'm pretty sure he can move through any sort of technology" You nodded your head towards BEN.
"I prefer computers, but if I need to I can go through phones or t.v's" He said.
"Creepster" You leaned back and rested your head on the wall.
"...p-pasta" Toby said.
"Don't be Italy...wait what?" You shook yourself.
"nothing" He slouched.
"Alright then" You leaned back again.
"Mabye I should try coffee again?"
"But you hate coffee"
"But I need to stay awake"
"...I'm talking to myself...in my head" You got up and went to the kitchen.
"Uhhh let's try...this" You pulled out some cream from the fridge and put some in your coffee.
"How much do I put in?" You looked at the labels, you didn't see anything.
"Whatever" You poured more in and took a sip.
"Hmmm...sugar, I've seem my parents put sugar in their coffee" You put a tea spoon of sugar and stirred, you took another sip.
"Woah, okay, few more cups of this and I'll be good for a week" You walked back to the stairs.
You sat down and looked at your laptop again, it was turned on.
"Oh cool, guess it rebooted or something" You woke it up and was surprised to see that you were connected to someone through Skype.
"what the hell? Who's Mr.Sexy666?" You mumbled and looked at the screen. Suddenly a white face appeared and the computer crashed.
"SHIT!" You slammed it shut and put it on the floor, you placed a hand over your mouth and worked to control your breathing.

"What?!" Jeff jumped.
"Is she dying?" Jack asked a little too eagerly.
"I hate jumpscares" You mumbled through your fingers.
Something cracked in another room.
"Perfect timing" You thought as you grabbed your tazer, unfortunately due to SOMEONE needing four darts you were out of tranquilizers.
You peaked around a wall and saw two people; one in a mask, the other a hood. You watched as the masked one pulled glass out of their shoe as the hooded one stood with a gun at the ready.
"Okay, take out hood first then use the gun on mask if necessary" You planned in your head. One of them whispered something, you looked again and saw the hooded one coming your way.
"Perfect" You waited until they were close enough and tazed them in the chest. This surprised him and he fired his gun, making a hole near your head and alerting their partner before collapsing. You picked up the gun just as the other one showed up, you pointed the gun at them and they ran for the broken window.
"IF YOU LEAVE YOUR PARTNER DIES!" You pointed the gun at hoods head, sure you could never pull the trigger knowing it would kill someone but it made a good bluff. Slowly mask walked towards you with their hands in their pockets.
"Hold on, empty your pockets" They didn't move.
"NOW!" You shot near hoods head, mask jumped and pulled out a pocket knife.
"This time I won't miss" You crouched and put the gun against hoods head. Mask turned out all their pockets, showing that they didn't have anything else.
"...you gonna come quietly?" They walked towards you with their hands in the air, you moved so they were in front of you. One they were facing away from you, you tazed the middle of their back and they fell.

"Hoodie?" The man without the mask mumbled.
"Yeah?" The hoodless man mumbled back.
"I think we failed"
"Yep"
*??? POV*
"This is ludicrous!" You slammed a fist on your desk.
"What's wrong?" A little girl tugged on your pant leg.
"...get ready to leave, we're taking a little field trip" You watched the screen as the girl cuffed Masky and Hoodie to a railing.
"Who is she?" The little girl asked.
"She is Y/N L/N, and this will be the last day of her life"

Recruit - An Infinite Labyrinth prequel
A prequel to The Infinite Labyrinth. The year is 1816. The British Empire is in full swing, under the auspices of King George III. The Infinite Labyrinth has been pouring out its product from beyond our reality and fostered a new industrial revolution. Times are changing, and the people of London are feeling the winds of the revolution while British Professionals push into the Labyrinth. The newly formed Artefact Hunting Company is looking for recruits, and they have new technology to help them. From the slums of London, they aim to recruit a new wave of Professionals. And make Zacharias and the Earl of Carnavon lots of money. So, for Rowan Rivers and a handful of lucky ones, it's time to head into the Labyrinth, and discover what makes it different from England. And what makes THEM different? Recruit is a bunch of chapters I wrote to create to the setting, mood, and game systems of the Infinite Labyrinth. It is NOT a complete story in the classic sense. It's more of a slice of life view of early days of a normal Professional from the Infinite Labyrinth, and it's heavy on info-dump. It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. It can be considered a spoiler, as the characters in the Infinite Labyrinth are going to need to figure out all that, on their own. But if you like a much deeper exposition in the mechanics, here it is. The entire prequel is about 80 pages long.

Mhaieiyu - Arc 1: The Syndicate
Time stood still when all the cogs of society meshed well enough. There were those who tolerated less, but still, life and work were monotonous for the most part in the gruelling megapolis of the Hub. Those who stood opposed would be met with an unpleasant visit from the no-nonsense authorities of the country's overruling, tyrannical Syndicate. And so, where there was law, there was simplicity. But every decade, this grey atmosphere would crash as hell itself came to bang on their door. Join the awkward Tokken, a strangely unknowing teenager who's finally getting the reality check he needs, as well as the rowdy and reckless Emris, the alcoholic military mess that sees no grey lines between life and death, as they try to abide by the hailstorm that looms over them. Mhaieiyu - Arco 1: El Sindicato [Spanish]

Grim Beginnings
For most, ghosts and monsters were fantasy. For Tessa Byrne-Reyes, they were a constant in her daily life as a reaper. The legendary gods and creatures of mythology were, to her, historical figures. From a young age, she carried the weight of the world on her shoulders, possessing what she saw as a curse but what her family considered a gift. It was her birthright, to use her abilities to guide the deceased to the afterlife of an eternity in peace or in torment. Her classmates viewed her as "the fainting girl" who would pass out in the middle of a lesson with inexplicable injuries. She experienced each death in the town of Belmont Falls, from the mundane to the gruesome. A gunshot wound in the gut, broken ribs, her heart ceasing to beat for several minutes. No one understood what caused these incidents but over the years, she gained a reputation for being abnormal. While Tessa is the freak of Belmont Falls, Fin Belmont, the charming rebel and son of the richest man in town, is her polar opposite. Knowing each other for years but never saying more than a dozen words between them, one night changes everything, thrusting them into each other's unfamiliar and daunting worlds. Together, with the help of her best friend/his ex-girlfriend Elena, they begin to unravel secrets about their town and their pasts, learning that some secrets are better left buried and grudges can be held for centuries.
