《Unfair (Haikyuu X Male!Reader)》6

Everyone still stared at you, even Daichi who didn't knew if he should just eat the nikumans or look at you like you were an alien. A green frog alien with a yellow star on it.
"What?"Not receiving a response you shrugged the thing off and continued to nibble on your treat, successfully finishing it like it was nothing, while Daichi handed everyone a nikuman.
Suddenly you felt someone tug your left sleeve repeatedly.
"How did you do that?!" You looked at the orange haired boy.
"What do you mean...? Do what?" You stared at him, awaiting for an answer.
"T-that.." The action seemed to make him nervous so he looked away. "The r-running fast thing!"
"Okay, I'll tell you my secret." You bent down to his eye level and patted his head. Making him lightly squeak.*
"I'm fast, I guess. Always have been fast!" You smiled at his small figure.
"What kind of answer is it, munchkin?" Ops, he did it again. Now everyone's attention was on the two of you.
Gettin up and back to your normal height you looked at him with a dead serious look.
"Hey, listen! I know my argumentation wasn't the best but I tr- ... Wait. Wait a second." You pointed a finger at him, "Who are you calling a munchkin?!" You inched closer to the first year.
"I'm not even that shorter than you, c'mon!" You stood next to the male, showing that you in fact were one, three centimeters taller than Yamaguchi, thing that made you a max of 8 centimeters shorter than him.
"Still shorter than me, munchkin." He chuckled behind his hand.
"Ok, that's it. I refuse to continue this conversation. I refuse!" You whined, throwing a nikuman in his face.
Bad move. Definitely a bad move. A dark aura started to appear behind the scary first year and, as the courageous person you are, you did the most intelligent and easy thing you could think about:

You his behind Asahi. Bless his height. Sadly, said teen was surprised to say the less and started to slightly tremble, both from the fact that he was being used as a human shield and from the fact that you were so near him.
Trying to save yourself from his upcoming wrath you spoke,"U-Uh.. you know.. you actually are right! I'm a munchkin, so short! Just don't kill me, I want to live!"
You skipped from behind Asahi to behind Kageyama, meaning: further and further away from sure death.
"KAGEYAMA, HELLO!" You patted his shoulder with your free hand, trying to find a way to get away from the previous situation you were in, making everyone sweat-drop. "How are you?"
"I'm good." He answered trying to sound as calm as possible.
You smiled at the answer, "That's nice, I'm glad to hear that!" You said, looking at the now scarlet-like sky. You stood still for what seemed to be a second, even if in reality it was a minute. You completely forgot about a totally important thing.
'Now that I think about it, I forgot to inform Kai that I was going to buy some food on the way. Better text him before he burns his whole house down.'
You took opened your bag before placing the nikumans you saved for the two of you in a safe pocket of it and took out your phone.
Tapping on the message app you entered a chat with only you and said boy in it and proceeded to write the message.

Kai:

M/N:
Those scones could have killed me.
I was so glad I had water with me at the time..
And one mistake? You think you've done it only one?
Kai:

M/N:

You sighed as you left the chat and turned off your phone, ready to replace it in your pocket. Someone, though, stopped you from doing so, placing a hand on your shoulder to catch your attention.
"Hey.. uh.. L/N-" you turned yourself, looking at the gray haired setter.
"M/N!" The third year seemed confused by your interruption, so you had to explain what you meant.
"Feel free to call me M/N, I'm used to it." you grinned.
"Alright.. Then, M/N, I wanted to know if there was a way we could repay you for buying us the nikumans."He smiled kindly before continuing,"That was a really nice gesture and we truly appreciate it, even if some of us don't show it."
"It's okay, really. You don't have to repay me in any way!" You answered, "However, if there is anything I can do for you to repay all the kindness you showed me today please tell me. I'd be glad to be of help!"
He seemed to be in deep thought for a moment until he asked you something, "Well, actually.. there's something you could do."
Your eyes sparkled for a moment "What is it?!"
"Since you're now part of the team even if only as a coach.. I wanted to ask if you could give me your number? Just so I can inform you if anything important happens while you're not there." You nodded and gave him your phone.
"Just add your number in it!" He took it for your hands and typed his number, adding it to your contacts list
As he returned it you looked at the name he saved himself.
" 'Koushi' uh?" He seemed to get a little red.
"I call you by first name. So it only seems fair that you do the same with me, right?" You chuckled and laughed,
"Great logic, Koushi~" Looking at the digital clock in your phone you sadly noticed it was pretty late.
"I've gotta go now, feel free to give my number to the others too!" you started to get on your way towards your home.
"Bye guys!" you wave to them one last time.
Fact is, you didn't knew how hard it would have been to get home if you didn't know the road.(Genius.)
Nor did you know that a certain setter totally forgot, totally not on purpose, to give your number to his teammates.
How unlucky.

★★ THING: I wanted to do a speedy sketch of how Kai is, just to give you guys an idea of how this dude is. Would you mind me writing a special about how you met this totally not-normal anime-obsessed dude? Because I'm doing it anyway-- Orz

OUTLIERS
30 years ago brought the first superhumans, regular people given great power seemingly at random. 15 years ago brought the paranormals, stranger and often weaker in their abilities, but far more numerous. Today, the world holds its breath . . . Or at least, it should. Most people, though, are just trying to get on with their lives; some successfully, some less so. It's a sensible goal, but it can be hard when shadowy conspiracies and worldwide N.G.O.s are turning your city into a proxy battleground over world-shattering secrets. It’s bad enough when you’ve just woken up with superpowers and terrorists are holding your school hostage. It’s even worse if you’re an illegal vigilante stuck in the middle of the whole Charlie Foxtrot after a supervillain raid drops vital information in your lap. For Hannah Eiling-Kingsford and Flint Perez, life is about to get a lot harder to get on with. ----- Outliers is a superhero story. Okay, so not so much superhero as vaguely superhero-ish. It's about two teenagers dealing with, among other things, new powers, psycho exes, mysterious datapads and a giant, secret war between the foremost powers-that-be, over information that could forever change the world. Again. You know, normal teenage stuff. Outliers contains some foul language and mild sexual references. It is a complete story, and can also be read on its own website. If you enjoy the story, please consider writing a review, either here or on WebFictionGuide, or just drop a vote for it on Topwebfiction. Any and all support is appreciated, and comments, questions and critiques are all expected and encouraged.

Blair Nys: Blood and Benevolence
Blair is a young man and even of royal heritage. As such his life has followed a strict plan since birth. Only for it to suddenly, in the time span of a finger snipping, change. Connections to another world opened up. Humans with powers made of the wildest imaginations, stepped out of them, calling themselves cultivators. Naturally, earth’s population went into an uproar. One piece of information created an especially great stir. The cultivators were there to pick disciples. Millions rushed to them, and Blair wanted to be one of them. There was just one problem. His lord father was strictly against interaction with those magical beings. He always dreaded a foreign power gaining influence in his court. Well, the old man never changes, and now it was the same as ever. His sister wasn´t even allowed to study abroad. However, all his senses told Blair that the future lay in the cultivator's hands. His plan was to gain knowledge, power, and maybe influence. Then he would return. One night he simply vanished in the darkness, away from his father’s claws. Will he succeed? That is hard to tell. The immortal world is an unforgiving place, even worse than earth. It’s just that Blair doesn’t know that yet. Can he survive there, and gain a footing in the new era of qi and godly hermits? Only time will tell, and Blair has to fight for every minute. Authors note: Give the story a try. It’s my personal blend of qi, cultivation, and struggles of morality and power. If I can deliver on all that is another question, but I will give it my best. As a further note, I am not using any of the usual strict realms and extreme power differences. It’s more about gathering and refining qi. Whoever uses his chances, sneak attacks, intuitions, and skills in a better way wins. However, having more or better qi will help, but I am not at a point where I have written a lot of that, so I might promise too much. Thanks for reading so far and checking my synopsis out, now you might give the story a try. Have fun. The picture is from JCK5D (Pixabay)

Noble
"Then, let joyous news be delivered to those who pass their lives in peace, For it takes only one twist of fate to throw their lives upside down And for those who unfortunate enough to encounter the whims of fate, Let it be reminded to them, that even their lives repeat a hundred times..." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lys Ravenlicht was no hero, nor was he a brave man. He was someone who had the better things in life and figured that he'd tread upon the path his late father had prepared for him as an appointed noble and a politician in his home country and he had no business whatsoever of being a hero. And yet, it took only one twist, one twist of fate, before all plans he had laid out for the rest of his life went down the tubes. Join him as he traverse the lands of Fymia, where the arcane had faded into the annals of time and yet persist in the most mundane of things. And as he found himself dragged deeper into a catastrophic series of events that would change his perception of the world, and the course of history for the world itself... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Author's comments: The story was meant to be a satire of the Japanese animanga tropes.... until it got out of hand to the point I'm not sure it's a satire anymore. I hope you can find enjoyment in it nonetheless.
