Alpha Jordans pov

I stopped mid-sentence, when I heard my Beta's scream frantically for my mate to wake up. I stood up and almost ran through, my office door.

I ran a couple of doors to my room, pushing past some of my pack members. Almost topping them over, but I couldn't bring myself to care, my mate was in trouble.

I made it to our room to see, my mate, motionless in my Betas arms. I reached out to him, hinting that I wanted my mate. I had a strange sense of deja vu, seeing my mates body. Deathly still, almost close to not breathing.

"What happened!" I demanded moving my mate to the bed. I carefully placed her down, making sure none of her limbs were at an odd angle.

"Well A-alpha, I-i..."

"Spit it out darn it!" I shouted angrily.

I could tell that my eyes were changing, from the perspiration running down my betas face. My wolf was taking over, and that won't be pleasant for anyone.

"I-i had come to get her, as y-you asked Alpha. We spoke a bit, I-i called her Luna. Then she passed out, after complaining about being b-breathless."

"Where is Luke?" I questioned. I knew that Sandy would never forgive me, if Luke saw her like this or got hurt.

"With Michelle and the other caregivers. They are safe Alpha" he replied.

"Leave and tell everyone that the ceremony, It's being postponed"

"Yes Alpha" after that order, Chad took his leave. Looking our bedroom door.

I looked back to my mates petite frame she was beautiful, with her light brown skin and black hair. I brushed a few of those loss curls, and studied what my mate was dressed in.

Her figure was framed with a simple white dress and a gold belt. Her eyes her were closed and her long dark lashes, seemed to flirt with her skin.

And it was then that I realised just how much, this women has come to mean to me. Not because someone had picked her out for me, but because I, not just my wolf had fallen in love with her.

She was perfect not just for me, but for any man that would have ended up grabbing her attention, if I hadn't come first.

My wolf growled, he didn't like the idea of our mate being wit some other guy.

She prefect, she was sweet and caring, I held back a laugh, thinking back to all of my little mates antics.

At the field and in the kitchen, she was brilliant with kids not just Luke but all kids.

She was smart and patient not to mention very insightful.

She is light

"And that's why I need you to wake up beautiful. I can't live without you anymore. I don't ever want to be, in the dark place I was trapped in before. Now, I'm not promising to be all happy jappy..."

Of course I do, do you mind? I'm trying to talk my mate into, coming back to us.

" but I do promise to treasure you, and love you. Cause I do love yo by the way" I said, trying to say everything all at once. " come back to me, my little spitfire. I know this has happened to you before, it's time you explained, or don't if you don't want to."

I sighed, completely an utterly exhausted. I pushed my shoes off took, of my clothes. And set the covers aside.

I carefully took off her dress and heels and dressed my mate in my t-shirt, which reached her thighs even while laying down. I tried my best not to check her out. I really did, but how could I not. I have one hell of a mate, anyone would have done the same. I lay in besides her wearing only my boxes. I covered us both and pulled my mate, close to my side.

And as I succumbed to the darkness, I made one promise to myself. I wasn't going to let her go, not anytime soon. And certainly not without, a hell of a fight.
