"What?!?" the younger alpha gets up from the chair slamming it back on the ground, which lands with a very loud thud. It's been a month since the alpha couple returned from Christian's land.

The younger alpha did not ever think that he would lose someone so close to him like that. He was shaken up by the incident and so was Christopher. It was really hard bringing Blake out of his trauma.

And now that they did, he was greeted by mind-blasting news ever. "Haha... Nice try, Ezra but the birds aren't swimming yet"

"But few birds do swim, Blake" the older alpha adds with sarcasm yet he had the same confusion lazing his mind.

"Shut up, Easton" the younger alpha gives him away. He sits back on the chair with Easton landing on the armrest of his chair.

With Blake being all pre-occupied with his bad memories and Samael's health, Easton too did not pay attention to anything apart from his mate. Which also included his family.

And now with Ezra and Duncan sitting in their suite, beta being all nervous and fidgeting, the young alpha was dropping a slow bomb on them.

"It's not even April fools yet, Ezra. Stop it, and it's not funny" the younger alpha laughs it off. The young alpha sighs out loud and lifts his loose shirt showing his small yet round tummy.

"He's right" the older alpha nods sophisticatedly.

"HOLY-" Easton shuts his mate's mouth along with his, upon looking at the tummy. They both exchange looks and then stare back dumbfounded at the round belly.

Duncan jumps in covering his mate's body. "Enough," he says.

"H-How?" the younger alpha questions, with a "question mark" drawn on his face.

"Remember when I told you I had some bad food poisoning? It was this" he gestures towards his tummy. "I told Duncan right when he got back but you guys were already very stressed so....."

"I am so sorry" Blake goes to his friend for a hug. He gets on his knees, holds the alpha's hands, and smiles. "But that still doesn't explain HOW THE FUCK DID IT HAPPEN?!?" he whispers yells not to scare the baby but feeling guilty that he just used a bad word.

"Isn't it obvious, Blake? This man here fu- mmmhhh" Duncan closes his mate's mouth looking at the glaring eyes of the older alpha. He gulps loudly and avoids his eyes.

"He knows that, Ezra" the beta speaks with closed teeth. "You no need to explain the process. He wants to know how is this possible" he clarifies it to his mate.

"Oh," the young alpha eyes bulge with a signal that he understood and it was now safe for the beta to remove his hand. Duncan removes his hand and looks anywhere more interesting than his alpha.

"So, when the doctor came to the house with reports it also had pregnancy reports attached which he did the test just in case. And it turned out to be positive" Ezra says.

"Apparently when two males mate in our species, the one on the receiving end will have his body changed a bit after a few mating for conceiving.

It don't usually happen with all the male pairs but a few" he concludes.

Blake was silent all through the talk with his eyes falling out, on the ground. He bit his lips and then looked at his tummy and then back at the older alpha who had terror written on his face.

"HOLY-" he slaps a hand over his mouth to stop himself from cursing. "Does that mean I-"

"Uh-huh. There is a possibility that you are already.... you know " Blake gasps remembering the unsightly activities they did last night.

"How aren't you freaking out?" the younger alpha questions his friend who was explaining all these things like it was "normal".

"I FU-" he bites his lips, takes a deep breath, and then continues. "I almost killed Duncan right when he entered the house that day"

Duncan was sprinting towards the Knights' residence after completing all his work at the pack hospital and making sure everybody is getting what they needed. But now all he needed was his mate.

Ezra...

Leaving his other half in such a weak state was not so happening. As said and warned by the young alpha his Beta's duties come first and he did what was said. However, meeting his mate again was the only thing on his mind now.

He throws open the main door of the house making the little man watching a car auction flinch. "The hell, Duncan!?" Elias whines and yells at the Beta.

Duncan just ignores the boy and sprints inside towards the staircase.

"Hold on there, young man," Austin says which stops the Beta in his tracks. "You-"

"Austin, stop" Aurora gets in between the former alpha and the young Beta. "Don't go overboard on him" she scolds.

"But honey, he to our son-"

"They both are mates, Austin. It is their personal matter," she explains which makes the former alpha throw hands and walk to the kitchen.

"What is the matter? W-what was he talking about? What happened to Ezra??" he questioned the former luna with questions. He was very worried, to begin with, and now that Austin blamed him for something he did to his son, there was no way he could keep his calm.

"Relax... He's perfectly fine and in his room. Go meet him" the luna says enough and leaves to where her husband was.

"You screwed up though" Elias mumbles continuing on his show.

The bond of the mates was very stressed, even the mind link between them was blocked by the alpha. He could feel the snap of blocking as soon he stepped into the pack lands. The young alpha did not show at the packhouse which caused him to worry more.

"Ducky!" Elena runs around the corner with her arms open for a hug.

The beta smiles and scoops the girl in her arms. "Guess that my new nickname," he says to which the little her nods with a proud grin. With the baby girl in her arms, he walks to the young alpha's room.

He stands there recalling how he first stood in the same place after being apart for three years. He was the same as now. Nervous and worried.

You are making me nervous too, Duncan.

"I can't help it!"

The beta takes in a deep breath and holds the knob of the door. He opens the door with the least sound possible, getting into the room. His body felt heavier with the intense pheromones spread through the room.

The atmosphere was far from pleasant and was more on the worrisome side. "Ezra?" the beta called for his mate when all his eyes could see was an empty room. "Baby?"

"......"

"Ezra, see I am back," he said gently. The muffled sound of crying fills the room dragging the attention of the alpha. He lets Elena slide from his hands as he reads the room.

He gets on his knees to match the level of the little girl's height. "Elena, do you want to do some drawing today?"

The baby girl nods very enthusiastically. "Great, take out your stationery and wait for me. We will do a lot of drawing today" he says.

"Yes! You are the best, Ducky" she happily lets out before running off to her room.

Duncan walks to the sound of the cries as he finds his mate all curled up in a corner. He rushes to his side and embraces him tightly.

"Shh... I am here, everything gonna fall in place" he coos his mate even though he didn't even know the reason behind his little man's crying. All he wanted at the moment was to console his mate and help him let out all his worries.

The questions can wait.

Ezra cries harder clutching onto the shirt of his mate. He inhales the strawberries scent he had missed all past days. "D-duncan" he brokes down.

"Yeah, I am here. It's okay" he pats the man on the back. Once finding that his mate had let everything out and is now has calmed down, he pops the suspicious question.

"What's wrong, baby?" he holds the alpha at an arm's distance. Ezra sniffles and looks at his mate with shaky eyes.

"I-"

"Hm... I am listening" the beta cheers up with a smile.

"I- I wanted to eat some cheese Doritos dipped in sweet yogurt but mom didn't let me!!!" he starts crying again.

"Huh? Do- WHAT?!?" a confused look took over the beta's expression with a lot of disgust involved in it. "Why would you even think of eating that??"

The young alpha's eyes fill with water as he shakes with anger. "I WILL EAT WHATEVER THE HELL I WANT TO!" he yells standing on his legs and stomping them.

"I- Of course, you can, babe" the beta agrees without hesitation. "You want to me to get choc-"

"Ch-" the expression on the alpha's face change yet again.

"Yeah, cho-"

"Chalk!! I want to eat chalk!"

"WHAT?!?" if only Ezra brings out any other weird craving the beta would faint here and now.

"I WANT TO EAT CHALK, DUNCAN! NOW!"

"OH, GODDESS! What is wrong with you?". He checks the alpha's forehead for any temperature. The alpha slaps away his hand. "Why are you being so moody as you are pregnant?" he jokes about it and sits on the bed with a weird expression.

"It is because I am" the alpha mumbles very silently.

"Yeah, right...." the older one shakes his head at the possible joke. When no response comes from the alpha he whirls his head in a second. "Haha, it's a joke, right?" he enquires.

Ezra just stares at him with no expression for a minute before he opens his mouth with his eyes full of tears. "Do you not want a baby?"

"Wh-"

"W-will you give up on me if you found out that I-I was carrying your c-child?" He stutters, his voice cracking with teats forming in his eyes.

The beta's eyes bulge out in horror. "Cha-cha-cha-child?"

The young alpha wraps his arms around the belly and nods with tears flowing down his face.

"O-our child?"

He nods again.

"OH MY GODDESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!" he screams.

"He created quite a big scene that day, it was too much to handle him" the young alpha complains. "I sat on his chest with a knife for him to accept me and our child" the alpha laughs along with Blake.

"Right. Accept the ones I never said I would deny in the first place" the beta shakes his head remembering the torture he went through to understand the fact that his mate was pregnant.

"Nevertheless, we wanted to share it with you guys so you could be aware of the situation," Ezra says.

"No, no wait. So you are telling us even we, the "Alpha Mates'" can also get pregnant?" Easton enquires to which the younger alpha nods in curiosity.

"Let's not forget that even I am an alpha, brother. So there is always a possibility" the young alpha says.

The couple stays quiet wraps his head around the facts. "Anyways, we will see you guys later. Bye" with that the couple exits the suite leaving a stoned pair alone with a lot of information.

"Do you think we-" Blake starts

"Yeah, I think we should visit the doctor" the older alpha suggests.

Blake nods his head in agreement. They weren't sure about anything that was about to happen at the clinic. They never thought of being biological parents of their kids from the last few months.

The aspiration did rise but they knew there weren't any possibilities which made them bury all those hopes. What will this visit to the hospital bring them?
