《AN UNEXPECTED ENCOUNTER》CHAPTER 54

Having a werewolf be in its full form increases its power by three times. But, the rogue knew that Blake wouldn't let Kai out anytime soon, he needed to bring the wolf out at any cost, and he did what he was good at.

Bait.

There were a series of events that he noticed keenly. He was aware of Samael's change of behavior right when he let Blake go the first time. He knew that the boy had felt something for his brother that would land Christian in problems down the lane.

Yet he kept his mouth shut, observing the change of attitude which he knew will lead him here. He suspected the plan of Blake becoming the bait and what he did was just take inspiration from his loving nephews.

"" The scream breaks down the courage of any person standing before in the room and the growl that followed after was painful and hard, it shook the walls of the delusional house.

It was the growl of an angered and raged alpha wolf.

It was the first time ever Blake has called his twin by his entire name. Or was it Kai?

---------------------

"That was Kai!" the scream alerted the pack outside, the wolf stood upon the dead body of one of the rogues, with his mouth snarling and blood dripping teeth. Aziel felt uneasy with Kai's exposure and there was a painful burn through their bond. He shook his stained fur and got on one of the high rocks. "The troops?"

"Ready, alpha" Zander answered from the west where he was bundling the dead in the form of his big grey wolf.

"The gates?"

"Secured, alpha" Arion replied swiftly. The pack was spread out in each corner of the woods, focused and gripped. The weapons that were sharpened helped the members bring down the fierce rogues.

"Buckle up, we are going in" the alpha ordered and all the betas did was nod. The pack had almost cleared up the forest that was filled with rogues without any noise, thanks to the half-warlock. The team of warlocks was yet not here but they may be needed soon. Level one of the house had only rogues and no other supernaturals.

Once the sight of the pack was away, Easton back hit the bark of a tree, back to his human form, his legs giving away.

"Easton!" Tib neared the alpha. Breathing of the alpha was coming in short, his face was all sweaty and he had panic written on his face. "What's wrong?" his close friend enquired once he got on the ground from his seat.

"Kai is out there, Tib. Something is very off. I have signals of him being very triggered but there is also pain flowing through the bond" he explained. The tough alpha was at the mercy of his mate. He knew he had changed in these past months but he felt so helpless again. "And Samael's name... I just don't understand"

"He will be fine, he needs you right now, Easton" the half- warlock did not want to interfere with the house yet. If the rogue suspects anything, then the twins will pay the cost, not to forget Christopher and Cora.

------------------------

The growl and Blake's wild change shook everyone in the house except for Christian. He stood firm on his ground looking at the young and tough alpha of Crimson Borders, Kai Angus Jensen.

But, all did the wolf did was keep his eyes on the movement-less body of Samael. The twin had blood flowing from his spiked arms and neck, as he fell on the floor, unconscious.

All the rogue did was inject him with some poison through the spikes of the whip. Being a black warlock Samael owned more power over any other color, even over his mom's blue.

But, when you grow such a powerful creature in your house, you need to discipline him too. And for that all the rogue did was take down some portion of the warlock blood every day which ultimately made him weaker physically that a poisonous whip's lash onto his body, and especially throat was enough to take him down.

All this was completely vulnerable to any other being except for the rogue.

A whine in sorrow escapes Kai's lips, this wasn't anything like they planned. Why was his twin brother on the ground? He was here to protect him, then why?

The bulge in his body made the cuffs tighter, with the thick hair on his forearms and torn shirt it became impossible for the alpha to stay put. He growled louder than ever but every movement shook him through the nerves.

His canines were fully visible, his face, which was extended as a wolf's. It was a whole new version of transformation a werewolf would see or be exact, the very traditional one where a wolf would lose their calm and see blood.

His hair flew open, the locks curly and hitting the shoulder. His jaw ticked in anger, his nose flared while his orbs begged for the need of release. He was losing it, looking at his twin on the floor.

Regret and anger boiled through him. Tears swam in his eyes, but they weren't there for a release, Samael had gone nowhere. He will be up soon and they will take down Christian together.

"Blake!" Cora was the one to call, the wolf looked fiercely towards his mother and snarled. His eyes glowed icy blue which was as cold as the description suggested.

He recognized no one at the moment. All his mind screamed was that his brother was being hurt, countless times, right in front of him and he did nothing.

Kai looked at the parents one last time and then back to Christian who was smiling lovingly towards the alpha. "I knew you would come"

The smile was trying to hide a crack. Big and deep, a crack of fear.

The rogue was well aware that a wolf will not let its human self take pain for too long. They always pop out to protect their human. So did Kai.

The waves of shock through the chair made his task easy.

But, what did shock the man was the murderous look in the eyes of the wolf.

He stayed rigid, pretending to be all cool with the situation but it was far from okay. The anger in the wolf was breaking points, rattling was heard loud in the room with came as a surprise to the rogue.

Kai was trying to break the chains despite the shocks the chair gave.

"I told you, Christian. You will regret everything you did" the former alpha said with a smug face. He could clearly see that the tables were turning, his dear brother was going to lose everything soon.

The rogue stumbled on his legs with such a surprising encounter. He never did expect that a month-year-old werewolf will showcase such a power.

He underestimated the alpha.

It was too many alpha pheromones in the room making it overwhelming to the rogue. The cuffs cracked and rattled a little before the pieces of hard steel broke and flew open in the face of the rogue.

Christian hid behind his hands while the sharp pieces hit his palms.

"A little too late to regret" Christopher snickered with a proud look as an enormous growl shakes up the house. "There comes my son-in-law"

--------------------

Aziel was on his fours again, he leaped from the rocks and entered the main doors of the house. The smell of blood was thick in the air but what triggered him the most was the aura, getting dominated by alpha pheromones.

And those were Kai's. Aziel howled loudly signaling his mate that he was here. The pack ran into the door, spreading throughout the house. Few sprinted straight to the rooms that were to their right and life while the others followed the alpha.

"Grrrrrrr......" Kai was unable to get a hold of himself and that was very much being heard through the mind link, now that the alpha had arrived in the house.

Three big wolves jumped in front of the alpha, snarling with saliva dripping from their teeth. It was clearly visible that these were the wolves that lived their entire life without a pack.

The alpha's canines grew out from his mouth, red in color, blood oozing from each. Aziel growled loudly, his eyes piercing orange, which were almost red with rage.

He leaped at the first wolf, taking him down with his front paws while the rear ones hit the last rogue. The second one got hit by the bodyweight of the huge wolf.

Aziel stood on the chest of one while the other recover from the attack. He snarled into the face of the wolf who was fighting back with clouded eyes.

"I see..."

He lifted his paw off the chest and slit the throat of the wolf in a go with his extended claws.

"They are high, be ready for mindless attacks," he says through the pack link while taking down the recovered wolves who looked more furious than before yet their eyes in a daze.

The older alpha took two steps back, distancing himself from the rogues. His eyes glowed as he mapped the length, with his canines out and a growl echoing his chest he lunges towards the rogues, with each of his front claws hitting their face and tearing away the skin.

The rogues whine in pain, blood seeping out from the cut. The older alpha takes a chance and injects his canines into the wolves one after the other. Their body trembles as life sneak out.

He lifts his head, turning it in the direction of the pheromones. They were getting thicker with time passing by. He sprints towards the path and there encounters a few more supernaturals.

He lunges at the first person but Tib stops the alpha. "Don't" the alpha gets offended by the sudden action and growls towards the half-warlock.

*sigh*

"Dude, I know you want to get to your mate asap. But, don't harm the other supernatural in this. You will have to face their wrath if that happens" he explains.

"I, Bellamy, and Cassius will handle them. You just go get the younger one. I miss him" he butters up with a wink.

Not paying much attention to the last comment the alpha dodges the attacks of the drugged people and leaves them in the warlock's care.

As his fours hit the ground towards the room, the more his heart got down with worry. Their bond was shaking with all the pressure the younger alpha was going through.

Aziel was not aware of what will he see once he breaks down the door but he was sure it would be something that Blake or Kai never wanted to do.

That pair was of souls were very definite. If Blake acts mindlessly, Kai would always keep him in place. And when Kai loses control of himself, Blake would take an initiative to handle everything smoothly.

But, now they were at a point where their anger together would burn out this entire house. And this is what Christian had brought to himself.

-----------------------

Christian snaps his fingers as his feet work backward. His posture trembles resembling his past self. Kai walking towards rogue reminded the rogue of his father when he was angered, same piercing eyes with a tight jaw and his steps heavy and firm.

Christopher's heart ached to look at the child-like self of his brother. He saw little scared Christian in the man who was standing in front of the younger alpha.

The former alpha had a lot of regrets after his brother ran away from the house. Their mother then struggled with the loss of a son while the father didn't change a bit. Instead, his expectations with Christopher increased by four.

The former alpha blamed himself for his brother's outbreak. That he wasn't a good twin that could protect his little one from his sick father. All he did was do what his father said, be overwhelmed by his kind words, and completely overlook his brother's problems.

Even after their death, Christopher's and Cora's relationship walked itself on the edge of the cliff. And that night when Cora met Christian again, the relationship shattered.

His younger brother manipulated his wife for the loss of their younger son and that worked quite well on the witch as she was already confronting the former alpha for her son's death.

It was a similar situation wherein a thirsty vampire was tempted down with blood. And when that woman walked out of his life, it gave rise to a new regret. Not properly upbringing Brianna and Blake was also added to the bundle.

But, that now brings us to a part where a question arises of whether or not Blake's attack on Christian will bring him any regret. Though the person behind the mask was his brother, he was also the one who took several lives just to snatch away something he could've easily asked for.

The snap of fingers finally worked chaining the alpha's feet to nearby furniture. "L-listen Kai, I am your uncle" the rogue stammered.

On the other hand, Kai was out of his mind, nothing seemed right or wrong to him at this point. All he could see was Samael on the floor, blood and Christian's inviting throat.

The wolf tipped his head to the side and dragged his chained legs along the furniture. The walk moved the piece of table and one strong tug broke the chain apart and also the leg of the table, shattering the furniture on the floor.

The older alpha halts his steps upon the noise, he then speeds up towards the room where he knows Blake/Kai was. The younger alpha growls, his right corner of the lips lifting in a warning.

"B-Blake" the rogue shivers. Kai maps his steps matching to his uncle who was mapping them backward. "I-I" the younger alpha was very prudent in nature. And the scene unfolding in front of him was completely opposite to his personality.

"Blake, don't dirty your hands, son. Leave him for the elders" the former alpha puts in words. The wolf pays zero attention to the man and continues his slow walk. "Blake"

*

The sound echoed through the entire house, shaking the surroundings as the wolf initiated his first attack. The big claws of the alpha tear up the shirt the rogue was wearing and the skin beneath.

"Ah!!!!" the long nails were dug in the chest and then passed to the other corner of the man, giving him a huge imprint across the chest.

"BLAKE!!!" the door of the room falls apart and the older alpha stands there in his human form. Kai turns his head to the man and his anger melts slightly.

"E-Easton" he starts, his eyes going soft. Kai melts bit by bit, turning back to the normal self. His emotional bridge broke when his orbs landed on the person he was wanting to tell all his worries to. As soon as the older alpha stepped in, the weight upon the younger alpha's shoulder lifted and it felt so right.

His eyes pooled with water as he wanted to walk towards the older alpha. On the other hand, Easton stood there with shock written all over his face. He had only heard but never seen a scenario on wolves taking over the complete body of any werewolf in a human form.

The younger alpha turned towards the older one to walk and drown himself into his mate's embrace but the face of his movement less brother popped up in his mind.

Easton's eyes fell on the bleeding wrists and the ankles of the younger alpha which neither in the room had yet noticed nor did the alpha himself feel.

The nerves in his forehead started beating so did his jaw. The rogue did hurt his mate. He did once think of capturing the rogue for his sins and then assassinating him according to the rules of the pack, like an ideal alpha.

But, the red that was dripping through his alpha's body made his mind go wild. He sprinted towards the rogue who was taken by surprise by the older alpha's arrival.

The alpha changed into a big black wolf in the mid-air, this was the end got the rogue he thought. Kai notices the action and lifts his hand to stop his mate as this was his chance to end the game. But, before he could stop, Cora did.

"Stop, Easton," she says standing out of the cell, legs apart and straight, very fresh compared to when she was in. The couple stares at her in awe as she walks next to Christian. She lifts him from the ground and supports him.

Christopher finds himself staring at the change in his ex-wife's behavior. It was not so long ago where she was crying over all her mistakes in life. Aziel growls at the woman while she looks him right in the eyes for a minute.

"You okay, honey?" the witch dusts the dirt from the rogue's clothes. Christian nods at the woman with deepened brows, a hiss escapes his lips upon the injury but a question irritated him the most at this moment.

What was this woman even doing?

"Cora!" the former alpha, from the cell, exclaims.

"What?" she questions innocently. "Oh... After being watching you all ganging up on my poor partner, I decided to take a stand" she says.

"He might have done some terrible things like locking me up in the cell and all that stuff... But-" she looks in between the alphas.

"But, he did love me..." she then turned to look lovingly in the eyes of the rogue. The dark red eyes of the rogue searched for an act in his Cora's eyes but there was none. "Which is why I decided I would save my life and his, through returned powers"

The witch put all her strength in getting contact with her long-lost convent while she was in the cell, it took away all her energy but that somehow worked giving her the original powers she lost when she left.

Everyone in the room watches the blabbering of the woman.

"Mom, stop." Blake was back to his form. He at some point thought his mother would give up on all this stuff and they will find peace just like old times, but here she was playing another set of mind games.

"Oh honey, I know what I am doing," she says with sass. "This man here... " she turns back to her partner and looks him in the eyes. "... gave me love when not even my convent wanted me. He bought me in the pack, gave me shelter, food, and whatnot.

And they're all I did was mate his brother. Destiny played us, but now that Goddess's gave reached its end, I would like to take chances" she drapes her hands over the shoulders of the rogue who was completely dazed in the woman's eyes.

"Christian..." she begins. The lock of the former alpha's cell falls off without any sound and escapes out of it with a clueless face. "I am sorry...."

Easton shakes up Blake who was worried about his mother's behavior. "I know how much you loved me..." the younger alpha notices his mate's change of expressions.

"We need to get out of here, this is our chance. She got this, just don't talk"

He links.

The younger alpha gets the clue and finds his father standing next to them. Blake sends his weak father out of the room first and then rushes to his twin.

The warlock was still lying there but there were movements.

"I should've noticed your love for me earlier than when I did. You were always the better option..." she continues, the words making the warlock go under a spell. It did work like magic.

Soon, Blake came across the unstable black orbs. The blood flowing through the neck was now on hold, while the warlock regained consciousness. He shook a bit but stood with the help of his twin.

Easton stood at the door to escort the rest of them out.

"Blake, fast!"

He urges. Flames rise through the corners of the house, filling it with smoke little by little.

"Even then I couldn't have loved you, Christian. It was always the Goddess who made these shitty rules. But I was always Christopher's" she chuckled making that sound like music to the rogue's ear.
