《AN UNEXPECTED ENCOUNTER》CHAPTER 48

Have you ever thought about what the world would be if you were the last person to be alive? Or what would it be if you wake up like a superstar one day? And be the center of attraction? Or receive the "he is the father of the child!!!" kind of attention?

To put it short, too much recognition. Troublesome right?

All of those with a lot of other mixed feelings have been hanging on to the twins ever since they stepped in the pack lands. Samael tried ignoring everyone and it wasn't that hard for him. But, every next poking eye sent shudders down his spine.

Wow, we are famous.

"I hate it...."

I LOVE ATTENTION!

Griffen claimed.

"Of course you do, despo"

What did you just call me?? Me? What? Hey? Don't even think of bloc-

*sigh* *blocked*

The warlock for once thought of just teleporting from the spot he was standing at or just shield himself with an invisible wall. But, that would only create a roar which was the last thing he needed.

"I always knew I looked like a feast but please don't stare at me when my mate, your alpha, is right here" Blake gushed but loudly which made the eyes avert in an instant followed by Easton's glaring eyes.

"That was cool" Tib whispers from beside Samael, and the warlock couldn't disagree. His twin was indeed interesting.

"Was it?" Blake questioned with a twinkle in his eyes. The young alpha was just an eighteen-year-old high schooler. A simple compliment with the word "cool" can melt him into mush.

"Nope!" the older alpha comments, Blake glares at his mate with squinted eyes. The older alpha smirks and closes in towards the younger one and delivers the next words. "That was fucking hot" he breathes in Blake's ear.

"Fuck!" the younger alpha barely contained a moan biting his lower lip with his teeth.

"Why God, why" Tib groans, disgusted, and walks past the hot and bothered couple. The warlock clears his throat and follows the half-vampire. Having an identical twin had its own perks and cons.

Like the one now, Samael couldn't possibly look at the face that looks exactly like him being so desperate, hot, and lusty.

The group finally reached the packhouse and there greeted the Knight family. Elena ran in between the legs on Easton and hugged them and the older alpha scooped her in his arms, while Ezra and Zander walked to Blake. "You good, dude?" the younger alpha's beta asked, worriedly.

"I'm good. No harm" Blake grinned at Zander and Ezra reassuring them. The trio had their own kind of bond now, the trust ran deep in this newly built relationship and so did anxiousness. After the incident with Duncan, Ezra was always on edge about the well-being of his people and that did definitely count Blake and Zander now.

"Two Blakes in the room?!?" a voice calls from behind capturing the attention of everyone in the room. The eyes once again set on Samael. The warlock perked up at the little voice and turned towards it.

There stood Elias tapping his right leg and with folded arms with a sulky face. The young had his birthday ruined thanks to a grampy pants uncle. "Oh right!" Blake clapped his hands together. "This is Samael" he gestured towards the boy who was staring at the youngest male copy of Easton.

"You mean Samuel?" Elias tried correcting.

"No, I mean- Samael" Blake turned towards his twin, but the warlock was in his whole world his eyes directed towards the floor, and "Umm..... I will explain everything at dinner. Please..." the alpha's growling stomach spoke for him the next minute.

---------------------

"You can have this room or you can take any other room on this floor," Blake says as he shows his twin the room. Both of them were standing at the door, while Samael absentmindedly looked at the empty but furnished room. He passed looked through the mild green color of the walls that gave a very fresh vibe to the room, and the teak wood furniture brought the forest theme closer.

If only the warlock's mind wasn't in the clouds, he would have totally loved the room.

"I and Easton live right above. You can call us if you need-"

"No, you can't" the older alpha jumps in. "Don't you dare disturb us"

"Stop it, Easton!"

"What? He kidnapped you"

"He wanted to save me"

"By kidnapping you?"

*thud*

The door of the room shuts close in the face of the arguing couple.

"This asshole-" Easton lunges towards the closed door but Blake stops his mate.

"He is just on his period. Ignore him" the younger alpha drags the other one towards the meeting room downstairs. He somehow understood the warlock. Blake knew the feeling of not wanting to be involved with people, his alpha nature made him easily accessible to people around him, but that also included the ones who weren't easy to tame.

Guess, he had another challenge named "Samael" this time.

The alphas leave as Samael locks the door. He settles on the soft mattress of the huge bed in the middle of the room. The bed was bigger than the one at Christopher's place. But, that didn't please him like his rough bed with no comfort used to.

He sits on the floor instead and grabs the legs to his chest. The loneliness kicks in as the atmosphere around him dims.

Why did you avoid him, Sam?

"I don't need him"

But he is your brother.

"I do not need a brother"

Sam-

"I need no one to share my misfortune with. Not him, not you"

Misfortune? Hell, Nah dude!! If you think that's a misfortune, what does a wolf without his original form counts as?

The outbreak left Samael numb. This was the first time Griffen had said something other than his silly lines.

I don't know what that great of a goddess had thought before summing up two broken and incomplete souls like us together. That too a dominant warlock and a wolf?!?

A wolf who can't feel what all other wolves can. A wolf that can't even change into one. A wolf who..... who doesn't have a mate in his life. She is cruel and merciless to have fun with our lives like this.

But, I am sure she has a plan for you, for me.... for us. Trust me.

Samael for the first time felt reassured by someone's simple words. The words that were heard by his bare ears held so much emotion and meaning.

They weren't empty. They had what you call is "affection".

"You are so corny" Sam comments upon which the wolf goes mute for a second.

What did you say?!?

Griffen huff's feeling offended by the comment. But, he knew it by the way their bond shined for the first time, Samael was accepting this new change in his life.

The wolf's first step towards a great partnership is been conquered.

Listen here, Sam!

*block* But this time Samael had a smile slowly crawling on his lips.

------------------------

The alpha couple arrives in a room flooded with pack members. Austin, Aurora, and Ezra were seated on the other end of the table followed by the elders of the pack, the officials, and everyone else rank-wise. Elena and Elias were put to sleep before the former leaders walked into the meeting.

Zander and Duncan stood left and right, on another side of the table living space in between for their alphas. On the other hand, Derek leads the big team of warriors covering the entire oval-shaped table. The team was all standing stiff with their legs apart and hands at the back, their chest bulging out, and to kill in their eyes.

The group of warriors had members with their own kind of specialties. Some were good with their swords, few played with knives like toys, and few others could stop the passage of your breath with just a touch.

Crimson Borders never did discriminate between any warrior based on their wolves or genders. A warrior wolf is never inclined to be rank-specific which gave omegas equal freedom to join the army of the pack if they will and succeeds the tests.

The other side of the room was just gushed with the rest of the curious pack members who were just overcoming the attack from last evening.

"Okay!" Blake begins by clapping his hands together to gain attention. "Are you guys aware of the reason why we have gathered here?"

"To find the culprit behind the attack," one from the crowd said.

"Wrong. We already know who that is"

"Then why isn't he been caught yet?!?" Another voice from the crowd demanded. Blake understood the frustration of the pack but Kai didn't like the tone of the man.

He growled loudly at the disrespect which made the guy shrink and hide in the crowd. Easton held a smirk on his face at the hotness spread by his mate and barely managed Aziel to leap out.

The wolves have been anxious ever since the attack. They have been on edge to leap over the head of the rouge and end him for once but then again the safety of their people.

But, when their own people question their loyalty towards the pack, it hit them beyond words. Controlling his anger, Blake just gazed at the crowd and pulled a smile on his face.

"That is the sole reason why you all are here" he answered which caused murmurs to spread through the people.

Easton takes over the talk with a raise of his hand. The crowd goes silent in a second and then the alpha drops the hand to continue. "We never wanted to involve you all in this, but what happened last evening already dragged you in"

"Like Blake already mentioned, we know the whereabouts of the man behind this. His name is Christian and...." Easton peaks at Blake for the continuation.

"And.... he is my uncle" the younger alpha proceeds as gasps spread through the room.

"How much ever dramatic it sounds, he has been chasing to be powerful and be an alpha all through these years. And my father, the former alpha, Christopher Jensen is under his custody for days now.

.......and the guy who walked in with me earlier is "supposed" to my brother"

"Great word you used there," Samael says as he stood leaning against the wall in a corner of the room, away from any living thing.

After his wolf's lecture or if you call it an outbreak, Samael understood that Blake indeed meant no harm. Also, his time with Blake all these past days made his lifeless heart warm for a human or a werewolf in this case.

Blake Jensen was the first person to crack the concrete wall around his heart. But, he will never let his twin know that.

"There he is! That's Samuel" the younger alpha gestures towards the boy in the corner.

"Samael!" the warlock corrects.

"Sam it is" the younger alpha shortens. "There is another dramatic story about us twins, but I will leave that part for my auto-biography" Blake gushes.

Ezra chuckles at the stupid comment while the whole pack stares at the younger alpha in awe. He was one hell of a person who can joke in such a serious situation.

"Now that you guys know the needed details, we have something else to announce"

"The pack borders on this side are closer to the woods which gives them the advantage to attack" the older alpha states.

"Which is why we are shifting towards the East this night" an outrage carry over the pack.

"We know it's all of a sudden but it's important for your security" the alphas step back for few minutes until the murmurs slow down and die in the end. They knew that this decision will not slip without a conflict and they were ready for it.

"Do any of you have any questions?" Easton asks with his voice high and proud as usual.

A hand raises from the pack, and the alphas notice a young lady. "Go ahead please" the younger alpha urges.

"C-Can-" she stutters.

"Take a deep breath, calm down and ask away" this time it was the Knight who spoke and ended it with a smile. The words made shock run through the pack at the soft tone.

They heard of the rumor that Easton Knight was changing but to witness it... they definitely needed a warning.

"Ca-n people wit-with good s-skill set participate? I-In the war?" The words pulled a huge smile on the younger alpha's face.

"Can you please come to us, Darlene?" the invitation made an anxious wave run down the spine of the young lady.

She hesitated for a bit, must gather up her courage to walk over to the alphas. "Did I get your name right?" Blake asks gently.

"Y-yes, alpha" she words, nodding her head.

"Great!" Blake turns his way to the pack. "Darlene has great skills in sword fighting and I was expecting her to be one of all those other hidden gems of the pack" the younger lady just gasps wide-eyed at the alpha.

How did he know?

"Like Jacob here," the younger alpha turns to his right. "this man's blades can cut through the trees in seconds" he compliments making the tough and tall guy shudder.

"And Neil?" he says. "When are we supposed to enjoy the view of great your archery?"

"Now is the time, alpha!" Neil replies with confidence bulging through his chest.

"Yes, alpha!" Jacob follows.

"YES, ALPHA!" a few more from the crowd and then a few more.

'Tomorrow will bring different innings of Crimson Borders' Easton thought looking proudly at his mate.
