《AN UNEXPECTED ENCOUNTER》CHAPTER 37

Aziel's front legs screeched on the water ground, raising the muddy dirt. He shakes off the water that coated his midnight black fur. It was raining very heavily in the woods and the wolf didn't want to stop as much as he hated rain or water.
He has been in the forest with the vampire for more than one hour now but not one trace of Blake was found. He did everything in his sense from using his nose all over the woods to using Tib's warlock spells to track the alpha.
The wolf felt the yearning to set fire upon the whole jungle and then stand on his ashes to find the clear whereabouts of his mate. His mind was lost and would not step down killing anyone who gets in the way. And that scared Tib.
The half-vampire was terrified to watch his friend turning into the ruthless wolf he was.
Aziel gets on the nearest high rock cry out in misery in a very loud way. The howl echoed the woodlands and bounced on the barks of the hard trees shaking the leaves of the tall greens. If only they weren't miles away from the pack, everyone would have got here bowing their heads to the terror of the black wolf.
Tiberius held his ground to the energy of anger and frustration surrounding him. It was taking everything in him to control his inside vampire to throw fully out upon the possible danger.
An angered werewolf was standing in front of him who would never in a sane mind hurt the vampire but now? That is why his vampire self sensed him as a danger. Tib closed his eyes and took a deep puff of breath before he prepared himself mentally to face the wolf.
"Aziel?"
*snarl*
The wolf grumbled at his friend which made Tib step back immediately. Aziel turned his way to Tib, his eyes glowing darker shades of the usual amber, his canines were sharp and long dripping with slobber while his nose flared.
He is losing it.
There have been times when a pair of mates were separated right after their "mating", without a prior understanding which led to one of them turning crazy just to track the other down while the other had no conception of the distance.
"Aziel, wait listen to me" Tib tried talking to the wolf but everything was going above his head. The vampire was turning pale from his usual dusk color, his eyes started shading from the beautiful purple tone to reddish. His fangs fell in front while he held a hand on his mouth, hiding them.
The emptiness from his mate started getting on Aziel's head involving the perks of the "full-moon" nearing, while Tib struggled with his vampire instinct.
The wolf attacked Tib lifting his front limbs and landing on his vampire's chest. Tib held his hand in front of his face and neck which were the primary areas for a wolf to attack.
Tib had his vampire woken up entirely with no trace of the warlock Tiberius. That vampire had only his body strength and few more abilities but no magic.
He shoved Aziel but not before the wolf grazed his canines on the vampire. The wolf fell far hitting hard to a tree and knock over into the bush behind. Tiberius moved in an inhuman strength and hid behind the huge bark of a tall tree. He needed to think this out before he attacks the wolf succumbing to his instinct.
"Stop, Bruyne" he scolded himself closing his bloodshot orbs and trying to bring back his usual neutral self. "He is still the little Easton, Bruyne" he recalls the little silent boy who he met in high school.

The big hooded glasses were only to hide his flaring eyes, full of insecurities and anxiety. When the glasses went off a ruthless, feared, and prideful Easton was found.
Tiberius saw a different of Easton when he got back and the reason behind it was Blake. He was finally at ease to find his disturbed friend settled but now the times were repeating themselves.
A snarl was heard near and then the wolf lunged forward to get the vampire, Tib dipped down and escalated to another tree to breathe to maintain his sanity. The vampire was now ten trees away from Aziel, the wolf snarled at now "enemy" and flared his nostrils to attack once for all.
The vampire took in a defense position to push off the wolf without hurting him. The wolf commenced his run towards the vampire and ran at the fastest speed he got. He was hungry for distraction to get his teeth in and forget about what he couldn't achieve.
His scramble was screeched again and was just a tree away from Tib. Aziel looked to his around in a hurry and then got to the highest point to smell what he get did. The whole area was covered with faint coffee beans scent which was strong enough to the wolf.
He forgot what he was doing then and ran towards the scent which gave Tib enough time to shift back from his vampire self. He was quick to follow the wolf knowing what just happened. The wolf was sharp but the half-warlock managed to get in front risking his immortal life again.
"Shift!" he commanded. Even if Aziel was in the right mind, commanding an alpha was not righteous. Aziel growled but the sassy vampire wasn't bothered as he repeated. "I said fucking shift! Now!" his eyes glowed the purple making the wolf do what he was told.
Aziel shifted back giving the charge to Easton. The eyes changed back to the brown ones which were static and blurred. "Listen to me, Easton" Tib grabbed the man by his shoulders. "He is near and since you are breathing he isn't dead," he said mercilessly.
The alpha needed to get this in the little head of his. He was here to find and protect his mate not to kill anyone he finds. Easton looked at his best friend with regret and then nodded without speaking a word.
He looked at the huge bleeding scratch at the half-vampire's arm and hated himself once again. He could only hurt people who get near him, he thought.
"Well, you weren't the only one who attacked, okay? I bet your back will go sore in the morning" Tib smiles. "I am a black belt in " Vampire's Karate League" "he continues with a laugh.
And now that he mentioned it, it did sting. "I can bet on how many bruises you will get" the vampire smirks before walking ahead. Easton smiles in pain and followed the man appreciating the moment he met him.
They both walked and searched according to Easton's talented nose. The scent of the beans was getting stronger and stronger as they got closer to where his mate was.
Their hunt came to an end in a place where again they were greeted by empty land. "This is it" Easton said with his nose flaring with the intoxicating of his mate's scent. Tiberius looks around to find any spot but there were empty land miles and miles away.
"Are you sure?"
"I am" the alpha replied without missing a beat. Tib nodded at the confidence and closes his eyes to sense the energy of the place. His closes orbs were filled with a clear image of an old rotten house to the left of their stand.

The house was disguised under a spell that blazed with bright green color. This was his first time watching a thing like this. Wasn't Cora's color blue? He thought.
Nonetheless, they did reach where they were running for. He snapped his fingers to destroy the cast of disguise but that did not reflect. He was stunned to watch his magic bounce back. He closes his eyes this time and opens them to throw another arrow which also missed his target.
What was going on? He again closed his orbs and ran a strong spell over his tongue shot it and this time it did work. Tib witness the house popping out of nowhere to their left. He was in a small cabin with his roof leaking on outside.
"He is here" Easton marches forward.
"Wait, we should be prepared," he says. Easton nods and prepares himself to take down anyone that gets in the way.
And surprisingly no one was there to fight them, the pair were alerted when a loud noise was heard from the direction of the thick scent. They both exchange looks before entering the house and then slamming the door of the first room that came into sight
------------------------
The water kept dripping from the corners of the underdeveloped roof. The shaky sounds of chains filled the old and dusty room muffling the thunders shooting outside. The floor was coated with bloodstains from place to place, some dried, some fresh. A shriek of cold chains was heard again followed by a low and vulnerable growl that could easily break one's heart but not the sphere of hatred. The growl was helpless, broke, needy, and was passed as unanswered. "East-" the voice was incapable of been heard and weak enough to get dissolved in the thin air.
Blake was tied in a standing position with the similar or rather the same heap of silver chains used on Duncan. He opened his eyes after such a painful and long sleep, just to find himself in this defenseless state. He had tried his best to beat the chains off but nothing helped. Instead, the movements only caused deeper wounds on his wrists, ankles, and bare chest.
It has been a long time since he opened his eyes yet the brown orbs haven't have met with any other in this dark possession. All he could hear from this place were the cries of agony and heavy rain.
Where was he? How did he even get here? The last thing he remembered was getting to his room after drinking up a glass of water. He didn't even trust Cora to eat the food. What did he do wrong then? His mind kept on turning its gears to conclude the situation but that only brought him first.
Where was he?
The darkness outside showed that it was still the night time but was it the same day? The same night of the day when he mated with Easton? Or how long has he been out for?
"Ugh!!!!!!!!!!" a frustrating cry erupted from his hoarse throat doing nothing but hurting him.
Please don't strain yourself, Blake.
"Where are we, Kai?"
I do not remember either but we will figure it out.
Blake wasn't even sure whether to trust or not trust his wolf's supportive words. The words were doing nothing but elaborating the shitty status they were in. "Fuck" he slumps his head back on the wall which was wet from all the rain and weak enough to collapse with one kick.
The one-kick Blake wasn't capable of now.
The door of the dark room creaked open. Blake perked up upon the sound and found a figure dressed in a black gown with a hood, hands covered with thick gloves and black boots, walking towards him. Blake unconsciously grabbed on the chain held at his hands burning his palm. "Shit-" he cursed. The figure still took slow steps towards him and stood right in front.
"W-who are you? Why are you doing this to me? Where are we?" Questions after questions were asked by the alpha but none got answered. The figure that stood in front had a similar built to the young alpha just a bit more muscle, his height matched the man perfectly, and his face... his face was masked. The hood he was wearing covered his entire face.
The hood-man unclasped the chains one by one like he wasn't a big deal. He was careful of not touching Blake and waited until Blake stood still to avoid any accidental touch. The ease of his work explained to Blake that this man wasn't a werewolf or a vampire. Who was he?
As soon as the chains were removed the alpha slumped against the damp floor with his legs giving away. He was shocked he could actually utter words.
The mysterious man bent down and stared from inside the cloak. He was astonished to see a face that looked just like his. And now he was sent here to destroy this face, this man, this person who he could call a "brother".
Samael had his target right in front of him, rather more helpless than he thought which would make his work easy. All he had to do is draw out his blood and greet him with a peaceful goodbye with another injection.
But, that thought wasn't even crossing his mind. He couldn't think of killing this similar-looking werewolf, he did not want to end the life of a man who was the reason his family gave him away. The reason behind why he was considered an orphan despite having a family. But, a different set of reasons engraved in his brain by his "father" started popping up, giving away any kind of mercy.
He deserved to be dead because he was chosen, he was chosen because he was one of them. And Samael was abandoned because he was different, he was weird. Because he wasn't anything like them.
The nerves in his brain started beating hard the longer he stared at the man who was clueless about all his surreal thoughts. Samael decided to end this for once, he pulled out an empty syringe and removed the top. "Umm. E-Excuse me? Sir, what- what are you doing?" Blake asks now looking at the sharp object.
"Sir, I-I am extremely sorry but could you please- for goddess sake- take that thing a-away from me" he stutters. He was terrified of needles. But, who's gonna tell Samael?
Like always, Samael ignored the pleas and kept his mouth shut. It was not that he couldn't speak, he chose not to speak unless no choice left. And now he had a choice of ignorance, then why speak.
"Do-Don't just ignore me, Mr. No-name No-ID" Blake warns.
Samael moves his hand forward without any word to inject the syringe. "No! NO!!" The younger alpha yells. Now he can.
He gets up off his feet which should be considered a miracle watching his prior state. Samael lazily looks above to find the alpha mapping his steps back. He rolls his eyes inside and guards the door with magic first.
Blake runs towards the closed door and shrieks away when a shock followed by a sparkle emerges. "Damn, you asshole" he yells and looks at his hurt hand.
Samael sighs, getting overworked because of this little man. "You let me out from here and I-I will consider giving you a doctor position at our pack. Then you can use a-as many syringes as p-possible" he argues.
Samael does his usual ignoring as proceeds forward to get some blood. "Ah-" the alpha escapes and heads to the opposite side. "I-Imagine, an awesome career with a good salary. You, you will be so popular" he eyes the needle. "A-and people will die to m-marry you" he continues.
*Ignored*
"T-they will love you!" Blake yells before shutting his eyes as Samael's steps halt. The alpha peaks and find the movement of the strange robotic human has stopped.
Did he make a successful bait? Of course, he did, he was Blake Jensen after all.
"Great, right?" Blake asks upon getting a positive response of his deal.
"I do not need any love" he bitterly states. His voice was very rough like it hasn't been used in very long. Blake just took in the words and was so not satisfied. Why would someone deny love?
Leave the needle aside, this was a more concerning matter. Though he met this strange man for the first time, Blake was surprisingly comfortable. It was like he knew this man for so long. And when he heard those bitter words from the hood-man, he suddenly felt the urge to protect him.
"Listen Mr. No name No ID, I don't know who you are but-" for the first time, Blake takes a step forward. "why would you-" Samael perks up and moves away from the alpha.
He closes his eyes to sense an extra presence in the territory. He takes out the needle he was supposed to use and jab it into Blake's arm at lightning speed without any warning.
"What-?" the alpha questions before falling to the ground with a loud thud unconscious. Samael hears the hurried steps towards the room and soon removes the spell on the door. He feels the energy of two dominant figures one of them being a werewolf and the other confused him.
He disappears into the thin air exactly when the door slams open.
---------------------
"Blake!!" Easton rushes to his mate's side while Tib looks around the room for any traces of someone else. Well, the scent did promise that there was someone here. Someone not ordinary.
"Blake, talk to me. Blake" Easton hugs the slumped body while his eyes couldn't stop pouring. "Tib, Blake" the half-vampire nods while his eyes dance through the entire one last time.
There was definitely someone here.
The trio disappears from the place before anything worse could happen.
They reach the packhouse and Easton lays his mate gently on the bed. His hands were sweating while his throat went dry he looked much more miserable than before. Watching his mate unconscious and covered in bruises gave him a sick feeling.
Tib puts a hand on his friend's shoulder asking him permission to check. Easton clears the way for the vampire to get to the other side of the bed, close to the younger alpha. Blake looked very pale, while his chest, wrists, and ankles had several cut wounds.
The half-warlock checks the boy for a time of fifteen minutes before giving any conclusion. "W-what is it?" Easton questions while holding his mate's hand.
"The wounds were caused by silver, he might have struggled against them. I did find them in that room" Tib explains. "Apart from that, he wasn't taken advantage of" he continues.
"Then why is he-?"
"He was drugged" Tib explains. "A rare injection was passed in his body which would do nothing but put him to a long sleep. So, there is nothing to be worried about" he declares excusing himself from the room.
He thought of the odds of such a powerful warlock killing a tied-up werewolf. And it was was high, even at the last moment, he had a chance to inject something dangerous or snap the alpha's neck.
Yet he chose a sleep inducer?
--------------------
"You injected a sleep inducer instead of drawing his blood and killing him!?" Christian yelled.
"I am sorry, father" Samael apologizes quickly.
"And you let that alpha go?" the rogue was furious.
"I am sorry, father"
"Will that bring back the alpha?" he fumes. All his effort went in vain.
"No, father" Samael kept his head down like always.
"Was your love for your family bred upon seeing your brother?" he questions.
"...No, father" he hesitates but still answers.
"Have you-" Christian grabs the man by his hair and held his face inches away from him. "-forgotten how they threw you out because they didn't need you?" he lets out with gritted teeth.
"I remember, f-father" he tightens his grip on his hand.
"Then have you forgotten it was because they needed Blake and not you? You were useless in front of Blake" he instructs the words as he has always been.
"Yes, father" Samael holds the edge of the shirt he was wearing from the terror of his father.
"Then how did you let him go" Christian pushes away the man which makes him hit his head hard on the brick wall.
He closes his eyes tightly and bites his lips not to make any noise no matter how much it hurt. He knew how much his father hated noise. "Do you still promise me your loyalty, Samael?" Christian questions sitting on the chair and opening a bottle of wine.
"I do, father" Samael answers without hesitation after composing himself immediately.
"Very well, then"
