For the first time in a really long time, Haydn found herself awake before Cristina, staring at the soft contours of her back as she reached out to trace the tattooed butterflies that fluttered up her spine. They were an impulsive decision on the night of Cristina's 21st birthday that stemmed from one too many drinks, a hype-man named Blanca and trusted tattoo artist Bones- Haydn held her hand the entire time.

"Mmm, that feels nice," Cristina murmured, pulling Haydn out of her thoughts as she leaned forward to kiss Cristina's shoulder.

"Good morning." She murmured against her warm skin before Cristina twisted to look at her, rubbing the sleep from her deep brown eyes.

"Morning." She murmured sleepily as she moved closer to a very warm Haydn. "What time is it?"

"Early," Haydn promised, shivers running down her spine as she felt Cristina's hand snake around her waist.

"That's perfect," Cristina whispered suggestively as she sat up, leaning over Haydn. Haydn's mouth went dry as she took Cristina in with her thick, messy curly hair and naked chest before she leaned down kissed her. "How much time do you think we have?" She murmured against Haydn's lips, her electric touch slipping behind her neck.

"Enough," Haydn whispered back, eyes darkening. "Are you sure you're not tired from last night?" Haydn asked carefully, caressing Cristina's smooth thighs to soften the blow of the question.

"Obviously not," Cristina replied a little breathlessly and with the element of surprise, Haydn gently flipped them over so that she was staring down at a naked version of the most beautiful girl in the world, her long black hair cascading around them.

"Then we have a few hours, the wedding doesn't start until two," Haydn whispered as she grabbed Cristina's hands, intertwining their fingers together before she pinned them above her

Haydn took a second to admire the way their gold wedding bands looked next to each other, a symbol of the promises they made to each other two years ago during a beautiful ceremony on Cristina's grandparents' farm in Spain. She was thankful Cristina insisted on doing a first look before the wedding because as soon as Haydn saw her walking towards her in a white dress, she cried.

"You look so fucking beautiful," Haydn murmured before leaning down to kiss her wife's throat, not missing the way her breath hitched under her touch.

"You're not going to be saying that when I get fat and I-" Cristina started on what was becoming a popular rant and Haydn quickly placed her lips on hers to get her to stop talking.

"You think I'm not going to find you beautiful when your boobs get bigger, you get thicker and become a M.I.L.F? You sound crazy," Haydn murmured before she went back to making her wife feel as beautiful as she was in her eyes, Cristina's 4-month bump arching into Haydn's stomach.

However, just as Cristina came crashing back down from a Haydn high there was a loud knocking at their hotel door and Cristina groaned, wishing whoever was there would leave them alone to remain their little cocoon.

But luck wasn't on their side that morning.

"CRISTINA!" Blanca yelled from outside. "YOU BETTER OPEN THIS GODDAMN DOOR!"

"Shh," Cristina whispered to her wife. "Maybe if we stay really quiet, she'll go away." Haydn laughed as she leaned down to place one last kiss on her lips before moving off her.

"Cris!" A calm Logan called out. "We need your help talking the bride off a ledge, she's freaking out a little."

"A LOT, SHES FREAKING OUT A LOT!" Blanca yelled and Haydn snorted.

"Sounds like she's not the only one." She pointed out as Cristina pouted.

"Duty calls." She said sadly, wishing they could just go back to what they were doing but instead she slipped out their bed and threw on a pair of pants and Haydn's shirt.

"I should go check on the groom." Haydn sighed as she too got out of bed and as she moved to the shower Cristina quickly kissed her, her still heart somersaulting in her chest after 10 years.

"I'll be right back," Cristina murmured before looking deep into Haydn's eyes. "I love you."

"I love you too," Haydn replied before Cristina left to talk to Roxanne, the bride, and as the door shut behind her Haydn could help but smile to herself.

She knew she didn't have the best start to life, but Cristina made it all worth it and seeing her beautiful wife, whom she loved more than life itself, pregnant and about to start their own little family, all she wanted to do was tell her younger, much angrier self that it gets better, things work out for her, and she's never been happier.
