"I still think we should kill him; we know Haydn's down." Blanca pointed out before eating another spoonful of her fried rice.
We were draped around my living room, eating Chinese food as a movie no one was paying attention to was on in the background. After Haydn had dropped me off and kissed me dizzy, my friends had come over and all together we were determined to figure out what to do about Wesley.
"No, we're not killing Wesley," Logan emphasized. "No matter how much we want to." She muttered.
"Yeah Blanca, we don't have the funds nor the connections to get you and Haydn out of a first-degree murder charge." Roxanne, the mom, argued and Blanca rolled her eyes.
"Personally, I think we would be doing humanity and all of the womankind a favor." Blanca huffed and I sighed, deciding to insert myself into the conversation.
"I agree with Blanca, we would be doing humanity and all of the womankind a favor but it's not practical." I shrugged as I pulled Haydn's flannel closer around me, the high of seeing her had already worn off and I felt the events of the day weigh down on me in the form of a headache.
"You're not practical." She mumbled before lying on her back to stare at my ceiling.
"So, if we can't kill him and we can't report him to the police, then what can we do?" Roxanne asked carefully and we all got really quiet for a few seconds.
"He could always be bluffing?" Logan suggested softly and I didn't miss the hopefulness in her voice as I shook my head.
"Wesley's not really the bluffing type." I sighed as I massaged my temples. "I can't believe I even dated that asshole."
"Yeah, well, I don't exactly blame you, he seemed okay in the beginning, but now he's just psycho." Blanca comforted me while I continued to hate myself for even getting involved with him.
"It's okay Cris, we all make mistakes." Logan smiled and I felt myself grow more disappointed with myself.
"But not ones that could potentially ruin the rest of my life," I murmured as I ignored the tears that threatened to sting my eyes.
"Hey," Roxanne whispered gently as I felt her hand reassuringly squeeze my knee, "we'll figure this out, I promise. Rather focus on your date with Haydn."
"You're right." I sighed, quickly pushing the anxious bad thoughts from my mind as I heard a door open.
"Cristina! We're home." My mom called out and I quickly wiped away the tear that threatened to fall.
"We're in here Mrs V." Blanca called out politely and I heard the footsteps of my parents grow louder before they appeared in the doorway. My mom was as beautiful as ever with her hair in a bun and a sophisticated black dress while my dad was in an all-black suit and shirt with no tie.

"Hello, girls!" My mom smiled. "It's nice to see you all here."
"Nice to see you too Mr and Mrs V." Logan replied before they walked up to their room, and I sighed in relief when they didn't ask any questions.
"I think that's a sign we should go before it gets too late." Roxanne sighed after she checked the time on her phone.
"You're right, it is pretty late. Thank you, guys, for coming." I said with a small smile and Blanca pouted.
"But we haven't figured out what we're gonna do yet." She groaned.
"Tomorrow is always a new day Blanca. Come on, I'll drop you off at home." Roxanne said in her "mom" voice and a disgruntled Blanca got up to go.
"Night Cris, see you at school." Blanca sighed as she hugged me, Roxanne and Logan quickly following.
"Bye Cris, see you tomorrow." They said with a crushing hug.
I walked them to their car, watching as they disappeared out my driveway and it wasn't long before I felt my mom's chin on my shoulder. Her warm hands rubbed my arms and I sighed heavily before she spoke.
"Anything you need to tell me mija?" She asked and I shook my head.
"Just teenage drama, nothing I can't handle." I shrugged and I hoped I wasn't lying to my mother.
"Okay, my baby." She smiled and I pretended not to see her look straight through me. "So, are you in the mood for chamomile and lavender or green tea and lemon?"
"It's definitely been a chamomile and lavender type of day," I explained and with a warm arm, she led me into the kitchen.
"Tell me all about it." My mom said comfortingly as we walked together and after such a shitty day it was nice to be reminded of all the people who cared about me.

For the rest of the school week, I made sure to keep my head down, silently moving from class to class to avoid Wesley and his friends at any cost. My friends even went as far as to change where we sat during lunch and after much nagging (from Blanca) we moved outside and soon Haydn, Jamal and their friends began to join us- which I definitely wasn't complaining about. Especially since I was learning that Haydns love language was touch, so whenever I was around her, I could always feel her wandering hands or a reassuring touch.
My thoughts of Haydn and her hands were interrupted by the sound of knocking on my bedroom door and I groggily sat up in my bed as I told whoever to come in and was greeted by my mom.
"Morning, how did you sleep?" She asked as she walked in and went straight to open the curtains and I winced against the light.

"Like the dead." I joked as I stretched a little, Logan had been working us extremely hard during our practices since we had to get ready for the games that were coming up.
"Well, I came to ask if you want to come to the studio with me today since I'm about to leave." My mom smiled and I blushed sheepishly.
"No, it's okay, I'm still a little sore from practice and I've actually got plans later," I said, trying desperately not to make eye contact with my mom because then she'd probably ask too many questions I didn't want to answer.
"Oh okay, I'll see you later tonight then?" She asked and I chose to get out of bed in an attempt to look busy.
"Umm, I actually made plans tonight to see a movie with Haydn so I might be home a little later if that's okay?" I said, making occasional eye contact as I made my bed.
"Yeah, that shouldn't be a problem, just as long as you don't stay out too late." My mom said giving me a knowing smirk. "I'll see you later, bye." She smiled before heading out of my room.
I waited a few minutes before I headed downstairs and once, I had a bowl loaded with cereal I sat down in front of the tv to watch The Walking Dead- one of Haydn's favourite shows. I'm not gonna lie, sitting on the couch with no thoughts, just vibes, was relieving after the incredibly stressful and emotionally draining week but the thought of spending the night with my girl was enough to have a stupid smile permanently on my face.
My attention was quickly drawn away from Rick Grimes and his team as my phone vibrated next to me and that stupid fucking smile made its way into my face again as I read the message.
: damn baby we have a problem 😔 i haven't been able to get you out my mind the whole day
: that doesn't sound like a problem me 👀
: it is when i'm working with heavy machinery with my boss
: don't worry, it's only a few more hours until i come and get you
: and then i get to see you
and kiss you
and hold you
: i would like to see that
: and I would like to taste you
anyways i've gotta go back to work now, i can't wait to see you later
My cheeks went red as I read her text and I felt my whole-body tingle, the thought she put in my head was borderline torturous- especially since she was so far away, and it would be hours until I see her. To take my mind off the NSFW thoughts my girlfriend had put in my head I decided to continue watching her favourite series but after a few minutes of repetitive thoughts, I went upstairs to take a shower.
I spent the next few hours wandering around my house and watching tv, counting down the minutes until I could go get Haydn. Unfortunately, she was working, as she did many weekends, and would only finish later in the afternoon but the extra time was enough for me to consult my friends on what I should wear. After going back and forth with them, with Blanca trying to convince me to wear my "birthday suit", I settled on a short cotton slip dress- it was strappy, soft, a little sexy and blue.
I tamed my hair and left it down before deciding to do my makeup on the more natural side while I kept the dress casual with white sneakers. Even though I see Haydn often, both in person and on my screen, I still felt butterflies every time I thought about her and now that I was about to go on a date, I couldn't contain the smile on my face. All I could do was count down the numbers on the clock until it was time for me to leave and I grabbed my jacket before climbing into my car.
As I drove to her house I was amazed by my lack of anxiousness, which was surprising but ever since my panic attack my anxiety was at an all-time high- now with the thought of seeing her (and only her) I was the calmest I'd been in days. Although, listening to Jhene Aiko helped too and within a few minutes I was pulling up next to her driveway and I leaned back as I sent her a text.
: I'm outside
: okay, i'm coming
It didn't take long until I saw Haydn bound down her stairs in white sneakers, black cargo pants, an oversized black shirt with her hair half-up, half-down. I climbed out of my car to greet her and was met with a strong hug as she wrapped her arms around my waist and pulled me against her, forcing me to lean up, on my toes. I felt her face burrow into my neck as her one hand rested on my ass and I blushed as I wrapped my arms around her neck.
"I missed you." She murmured as squeezed me a little.
"Bad day today?" I asked as she pulled away and she nodded sadly. "You wanna talk about it?"
"No, it's okay, I just wanna be with you." She sighed and I smiled. "So, are where are you taking me?"
"You'll see." I whispered and I gently pushed her to the other side of my car before I got into the driver's seat.
