We won the game, 34-24 and the whole school was practically buzzing with excitement- specifically for the stupid party. I wasn't exactly excited about it though, especially since I could possibly run into a drunk Wesley. He didn't exactly have the best track record at parties and the thing worse than a sober Wesley was a drunk one.
"How much time do we have left before we have to leave?" Logan asked as she compared two skirts against her body.
"About forty-five minutes," Roxanne answered before she went back to doing her makeup.
After the game, we all raced back to my house to shower and get ready, and even though I wasn't really in the mood my friends were trying their best to hype me up. Our playlist consisted of Meg The Stallion, Flo Milli and Nicki Minaj as Blanca kept the drinks flowing and the more I drank the better I felt about the upcoming night.
"So, Cris, you got your eye on anyone?" Blanca winked as she looked at me in the mirror, I was doing my makeup in and as her words registered in my mind, I immediately thought of Haydn, but I knew I couldn't just drop her name, so I pushed it away and shrugged.
"No one really, Wesley and I literally broke up last week," I said before taking a sip of my drink, only cringing a little as the alcohol burned my throat- Blanca was a little heavy handed. "Besides, I'm not looking for anything with anyone and I won't be for a long time." I further explained but they all stared at me, blinked a few times before going back to talking like I didn't say anything at all.
"Well, I heard Dre from the basketball team is single in case you were wondering." Logan grinned before Roxanne's eyes lit up and I already knew her imagination was probably going wild.
"What about Cohen? He's super-hot and funny." She smiled as Logan frowned.
"Well so is Dre!" She argued and they both turned to Blanca to decide who was right, but she just shrugged.
"I'm with Logan, I mean Cohen is cute and all, but Dre has a body that would actually make me get on top." She said as she mimicked the movements she'd make, and we burst out laughing.
"I have to agree with you guys, they are very hot but I'm taking a break from boys for a while." I smiled as I applied lipstick and the last touches to my makeup and within minutes, we were ready to go.
My outfit consisted of a strapless white corset, black denim skirt and white air forces with a black fanny pack, gold jewelry and cropped black jacket, I wanted to look good- just in case, a certain someone made an appearance. I was thankful my friends and I all had similar styles and aesthetics because the corset was actually Roxanne's before her boobs grew from a C to double D's- lucky bitch.
We hurried down to the Uber waiting for us after we said goodbye to my parents and as we sang along to our playlist, I was grateful for the friends I had- even if they wanted to pimp me out. It took about ten minutes before the Uber slowed to a stop outside a bright, loud house with cars parked hazardously up and down the street while random students and people stood around the front lawn. I took a deep breath before we exited the car and Blanca wasted no time before she was pulling me up to the house while Logan and Roxanne followed, talking excitedly about the song that was playing. As we opened the door we were met with familiar, colorful lights, the wave of heat from all the bodies inside and the deafening hip hop music that rocked our eardrums.

Blanca grinned as she led us to the dance floor, and it didn't take long before there were shots being passed around and our bodies were swaying to the beat. The alcohol helped me relax and I forgot all about Wesley as Roxanne and I were playfully twerking and grinding on each other in the middle of the dance floor- declining offers to dance multiple times. It was no secret that Roxanne was hot, everyone knew it, and everyone wanted her but she loved to tease them more than anything, she actually only dated guys older than her- I didn't blame her though, high school boys sucked.
"We should go get another shot." Blanca slurred at me slightly and seeing the state that she and Roxanne were in as they drunkenly cheered for shots, I decided to be the sober friend for tonight, they weren't too drunk, but I was cautious.
"Nah, I'm cool, you guys go ahead- I'm gonna go get a drink in the kitchen." I smiled and they promised to meet me back on the dancefloor before disappearing to another part of the house where they heard people were doing shots while I made my way into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water.
I drank about half the bottle before I tucked it under my arm as I made my way back to the living room, expecting to see Roxanne and Blanca any minute but all I got was Logan who winked at me as she walked off the dance floor, being led by Blake, a mean-looking senior from our neighboring school and I smiled lightly as I shook my head in disbelief.
It was no secret that Logan had a type, but our innocent little angel didn't go for the sweet, boy-next-door types, no, Logan liked the tall, dark, brooding type who looked like they could eat you if they wanted to. They were always covered in tattoos and barely ever smiled and although there was nothing wrong with her liking guys like that, it was disappointing that she always ended up getting her heart broken because while she wanted something more, they only wanted her for the night.
I sat, waiting, on the crowed sofa for the next ten minutes but just when I was about to get up and go off looking for Blanca and Roxanne the familiar ping of my phone caught my attention and I groaned as I read the message from Roxanne.
Blanca and I left with Cesar and his very beautiful friend *wink*
Keep an eye on Logan and we'll see you guys tomorrow
Don't wait up ;)
Great, all my friends have found some warm body to keep them occupied for the night and have completely left me at a party that I didn't even want to go to. Besides, didn't they say they wanted to find me someone to help me get over Wesley? I laughed at the turn of events and while I thought about taking an Uber home, I was thankful that I didn't run into Wesley- at least I knew the party gods were looking out for me in that aspect.
"Criiiiisssss!" A male voice slurred loudly, bringing me out of my thoughts- I guess I spoke too soon.

"Hey, Wesley," I murmured as he took a seat next to me on the already crowded sofa, almost flattening the couple next to him as they glared at him, getting up as they moved away from him, but Wesley didn't notice since he was too bust staring at me.
"I didn't think you were gonna coooome." He grinned, it was the same grin that used to give me butterflies at the beginning of our relationship, but now he just looked awkward and weird. I closed my eyes and counted to ten in an attempt to calm down as Wesley draped his large arm over my shoulders and I nearly gagged as I caught a whiff of his B.O.
"Yeah, I came with my friends," I muttered as I took his arm off me pushed it into his side, I really wasn't in the mood to deal with him, but I wasn't in the mood to fight either.
"Well, I don't see them anywhere, maybe we could get outta here?" He whispered in my ear, his hot breath against my ear giving me hives of disgust.
"EW!" I yelled, unable to contain myself as I shot up and took a step back, letting him drunkenly fall forward and onto the lap of a guy who had been sitting next to me. I watched in horror as the guy stood up angrily and had Wesley on the sofa with his thick hand around his neck, asking "what the fuck was wrong with you" as he lectured Wesley about touching with consent and I took that as my chance to escape.
Avoiding the curious looks from people around me I walked back into the kitchen and quickly poured myself a drink to take the edge off and instead of choosing to stay at the now suck-ish party and talk to people who didn't know me, I slipped out the back door and took in a deep breath of cool, fresh air.
Rubbing my temples with one hand I took out my phone and opened the Uber app. I just wanted to leave that mess as soon as possible and I was about to click confirm when I heard a laugh that completely stopped in my tracks. I looked up to see long, black hair tumbling off a pool chair and even though it wasn't facing me, I didn't have to see the person to know who it was, and I felt a smile make its way onto my face as I walked over to the empty pool chair next to her.
I couldn't believe she actually came.
"We've got to stop meeting like this." I joked as I sat down on the pool chair next to hers and my heart fluttered when I saw her eyes light up and a crooked grin made its way onto her face but it was short-lived when I realized that her reaction was only because of the substance that was in her hand.
"Cristina Vasiliev," Haydn spoke softly as she blew out the smoke. "I was hoping you'd find me." She said, her calming eyes staring furiously into to mine and I felt my breathing falter.
"I didn't know you were coming, you should've told me," I said softly, barely able to get the words out through my fuzzy daze- maybe that last drink was a bad idea.
"I was hoping to surprise you." She said before handing me the joint in her hand and I gratefully took it, not missing the blush that took over my cheeks as her fingers gently brushed mine and for once I was glad it was dark. "But I just couldn't find you."
"Oh, um, did you enjoy the party?" I asked, changing the subject as I gently blew out the smoke, trying desperately trying not to cough and look weak in front of the extremely beautiful girl- but she shook her head as stretched back.
"This party is terrible." She sighed disappointedly and I nodded in agreement as I took a pull, pausing for a few seconds.
"I definitely agree with you." I sighed as I copied her position, blowing out smoke as I talked, and I offered the joint back to her before she shook her head, and I took another pull. "This night was a waste of time," I muttered out before she stood up quickly and only then did, I notice the subtle black eyeshadow that made her golden eyes stand out and how it fitted perfectly with her black, knee ripped jeans, black cropped shirt and black leather jacket paired with her customary black Doc Martens.
Under all the loose and long clothes, Haydn actually had a body to die for with curves all in the right places and I knew it was bad, but I couldn't stop my eyes from wondering, checking her out, especially since many of her tattoos were visible.
Lmao, maybe Logan wasn't the only one who had a thing for tattoos.
"You know what, I have an idea." She smiled and I had to stop myself from allowing all of my ideas to run through my head because a lot of them involved me and her in my room.
"Okay, I'm listening." I smiled back as I put out the joint and I decided that I would do whatever she said, just to keep the twinkle in her eyes there.
"Do you trust me?" She smirked as she held out her hand to me and instead of answering I just took her hand.
