Through the rearview mirror, I could see her. She silently stares outside the window as her head is slightly pressed on against the glass. She was dressed in one of my dark large hoodies with a pair of dark blue ripped jeans with black shoes.

The ride to the police station was quiet. Kevin was completely absorbed by his phone screen, with the few exceptions that he sometimes peeks at Emma when he probably thinks nobody is watching him. Oddly both of them matched today.

My mother stayed quiet in the front seat, gazing out the window.

This morning Kevin showed me the little videos that he did with Mike's girl. I almost spit out my orange juice because this idiot dared to show me in front of Emma who was eating her breakfast peacefully right in front of us.

Poor Emma... her complexion tinted so ruddily, that I couldn't help but chuckle at her cute reaction. She looked at us with judgy eyes, as she didn't say a single word as she continued to eat her breakfast quietly.

Good thing my mother and Richard weren't there to hear the girl loud rapped moans and gasp while my twin pounded her from behind in the video. That wouldn't have ended so well, and it's quite troubling to even think about the outcome if it ever happens if my brother decides to mess around like that.

This guy has no freaking chill, he could have shown me anywhere else. But, No... He just had to show me in front of her.

He probably did that to see her reaction. There is no doubt in my mind that he did that for that reason alone. And here I was beginning to think he wasn't interested in her.

Mike's girl had no fear in her veins if she's letting herself be recorded like that by this dude. And especially in such compromising positions.

What the hell was that girl on? She had to be on something or was she so consumed with lust that her brain went out the door last night.

In all honesty, It doesn't surprise me, either. She wasn't the first or the last girl to let my brother do that. He keeps those videos to re-watch them over and over again, whenever he's bored.

He wasn't the one who kissed-and-tell. It's usually the females that have been with him that like to brag about it to their girlfriends at school.

And then they make a whole damn scene when they find him pursuing another girl to just do the same thing, again. A never-ending cycle.

I could already feel the trouble brewing in the air. My twin problems are my problems because I'm the one that has to clean up his mess afterward.

From a distance, I could make out the station as we drew in closer.

When I parked at a free opening, I turned off the engine. The first one to get out of the vehicle was my mother.

Not surprising at all, Richard was probably inside already filling up paperwork of some sort.

My eyes are again on the rearview mirror, the expression that Emma had on was heartbreaking. Her brown eyes were becoming glossy as she began to slightly chew on her lower lip.

What is she thinking so hard about?

She seemed like she wanted to go back home. Last night when I took her to her bedroom, she asked me to stay with her for the night.

The way she was gaping at me with nervousness probably thinking that I was going to refuse her request, has me not even daring to refuse her at all.

She was so shaken up and too nervous to let me take off to my bedroom. And for a few hours, she had trouble staying still on the bed.

I had to pull her into my arms so she could feel I was there. It took me a while to calm her down and make her doze off to sleep inside my embrace, but it was all worth it in the end.

My seatbelt at this point was off, as I stepped outside the vehicle, closing the door behind me. Kevin already was out of the car, making his way inside the station.

At least he listened to me and maintained his distance away from her. Until, she feels better... of course.

She was too fragile to be messing around with and especially now when she is at her lowest. She wouldn't be able to handle another mental strain. She didn't have to voice it out, because it reflected in those gloomy eyes of hers.

I don't want my angel little wings to break. She hasn't even begun to fly, yet.

I carried her inside... At first, she didn't want me to carry her so she began lumping her way inside. But, she was going way too slow, a snail would've probably reached the destination before she did... so I just snatched her up and took her- where she needed to be.

When we're inside and she's with the investigators in an enclosed grey room.

I sat there on one of the seats in the lobby, waiting for many hours for the interrogations to finish.

Every tick of the big old-looking outdated clock that hung from the dark blue wall, was pissing me off. And to top it all off this place reeks of coffee.

I was beginning to grow uneasy, what if they ask her something that triggers her anxiety. In the past few days, I have observed her from afar, I have noticed that she likes to avoid some topics.

"Okay, We're finished. Someone can now go in and pick her up. " A man in a blue suit says as he approaches us. Richard stands up from his seat and begins to converse with the guy. My mother sits quietly as she observes them.

Kevin stands up to simply stretch out his limbs, as he strolls closer to the pair that was conversing.

I headed directly to where I left Emma a few hours ago. When I entered the windowless grey dim room, Emma picks up her head as her dull teary puffy red eyes land on me.

"What's wrong ?" I approached her as she shakes her head as she softly voices out " Nothing, I'm just super exhausted. "

She lifts her thin arms a little, as she patiently waits for me to come, pick her up.

When I have her in my arms she lays her head on my chest... It always surprises me how weightless she feels inside my arms.

She needs to eat more, it worries me seeing her this thin.

"Leo, are you... Okay?" in her voice there was a hint of concern. I feel her shift her head a little, probably looking at me with those teary filled red eyes.

"Why... you ask? Emma. " My footsteps were much slower than before. Trying to prolong this walk, to have her be like this with me -a little longer.

"Your heart is beating so fast and loud. Did you run here to get me? "I don't have to gaze down, to know her dark eyes were swirling with curiosity.

"No. But it could be that I'm having a little mini heart attack... at how hungry, I am right now. " She softly giggles when those words come out of my mouth.

Her soft little giggle made me drop my gaze down to hers. I want to hear that... more often.

She lightly hits me on the chest as she shakes her head in disapproval, her cheeks taking this pink hue.

When I was approaching the lobby, I noticed that someone was missing from the group.

Where the hell did Kevin go? He wasn't anywhere in sight. This guy can't stand still for one minute without disappearing on me.

My eyes scan the enormous lobby as I approach Richard- who was still conversing with the guy.

Both their voices crease when they see us approaching them.

The first one to speak was Richard " Leo, your mother and I will head somewhere else after this.

So take your little sister and your brother back home."

His dark eyes scattered around the place trying to find my twin, a soft frown took over his face..." Did your brother say he was going somewhere... ? "

"He probably went to the restroom. Don't worry, I call from outside. "

"Okay...Be safe on the road."

"You too."

"If you remember anything else. Don't be afraid to come back." That guy in the suit adds as he eyes Emma, she quickly nods as she avoided his stares.

Where the hell did Kevin disappear to now? I just hope he's not doing anything stupid.

When I made it outside, a harsh breeze that flowed towards us made the girl in my arms cling to me more.

The sun wasn't helping at all, it was just there for design today.

Leaning down a bit I managed to open the vehicle back door. I gently slid her into the vehicle and softly shut the door shut. To shield her from the cold.

When I turn around to go to the other side of the vehicle, I spot Kevin coming out of the building, he quickly crumples a small piece of paper and shoves it in his jean pocket. Without hesitation, I make myself towards him.

He better not do anything stupid... when I wasn't watching him.

"Where the hell did you go, Kevin?" the irritation in my tone was very evident.

He momentarily looks at me then behind me, probably seeing if Emma is there. "I just needed some info, about our little toy. "He walks past me as he gets inside the vehicle. This time he takes the driver's seat.

In record time, I'm sitting beside Emma in the back. Kevin turned around and stretched out a hand, I gave him the keys.

And he starts the vehicle to life. He better share the details later.
